Very positive experience. KC Martin was ready for us at the time of our appt and finished our car in the expected amount of time.

I feel this place is a scam. When I called in for an appointment to diagnose my vehicle, they told me the diagnosis cost would be 78 dollars, but when I arrived on my appointment day, the cost of diagnostics was raised from $78 to $175 per hour. I had never experienced this type of business before. How things changed so quickly in this place? Anyway, this place needs to be honest and treat all customers the same way.

Want to start off by saying, I'm not rating 1 star for car service but I'm doing that for customer service. I had a problem that needed diagnosing, so I went in thinking it shouldn't be hard atleast to know what the issue is. It's not a big overhaul anyways. But as I entered the shop I was received by an angry looking front desk lady, and after explaining my problem for what seemed ages, she just carelessly said we're booked till next week Thursday.

I was alarmed! Was'nt it easy just to say, "oh by the way we're fully scheduled for the next ten days, sorry". Would have saved us both time. That's at least passable, but the mannerism of her customer service was extremely poor. I didn't even feel welcomed. Every sentence she made seemed in contempt and arrogance. Raised voice occasionally and with frowned face.

It seemed like I was interrogated by a cop. No sense of basic customer service whatsover. The sad thing is there were also other seemingly senior mechanics around her sitting in the front desk. It means it's a normal agreed cutomer service of the shop. KC Martin may be a well known shop, but sadly probably made the team think customers are in dire need of their service rather than customer being their top priority!

One thing is for sure- The shop I went right after that, well compensated for the hurt and anger I felt. Their warm welcome and extreme friendliness! I wouldn't have minded to spend a thousand dollars that day on that shop after the poor treatment I had earlier. Customer service is everything!

I am very happy to have found K.C.Martin in Lynnwood. They responded to my request to have my suspension checked within a day and I was able to make an appointment two days later. They are friendly and honest and they really know their business. I will be taking both my vehicles to them in the future. ~~Carlene S. Service: Steering & suspension repair

Had new GM crate motor installed earlier this year in my Avalanche. The new engine is fine but when I picked it up there was antifreeze all over the windshield and other painted surfaces. I brought it back for the first oil change and told them that the temp gauge is running above normal at stop lights or signs. After the oil had been changed, they said that there was no problem so I decided to check out the thermostat myself.

I found a cheap $11.00 thermostat from Autozone was installed. I bought the correct GM T-stat from the dealer & installed it. NO more problems with the engine running hot at a stop. Also, they decided to replace my oil fill tube and when I did the second oil change I found that they installed the wrong filler tube and the oil cap would never lock in to place.

I also replaced the filler tube with the correct GM part at he cost of $ 80.00 I spent almost $10,000. for the crate motor and other incidentals that come along with a new motor. Not sure why they used cheap parts instead of GM products as the advertise, Again the new engine is great but I'm real happy about the service.

We have used KC Martin to service our work vehicles for probably 15 years. We took a Dodge Work truck in due to a transmission issue (not going into gear and shutting off), back in March of 2019. As we suspected, it was diagnosed as needing a transmission rebuild. The transmission was rebuilt and everything was good. Fast forward 2 and a half years and 10,000 miles and the same symptoms started to show up again (though not as serious).

We took it back in and we were told there was not much that could be done until the symptoms worsened, which was no big deal, we get that its hard to diagnose a problem that only happens occasionally. 3 months later (Dec 2021), the truck started to act up really bad (same symptoms), so we took it back in and we were in essence told, the rebuild is out of warranty and there was nothing that they could do, except (most likely) rebuilding the transmission again.

We paid around $2500 for the transmission rebuild and I think anyone would expect to get more than 2.5 years out of a professionally rebuilt transmission. I guess this can happen, cars are not perfect, nor are repairs an exact science, but again, 2.5 years out of a rebuilt transmission isn't great. Overall, this was a pretty disappointing way to end, what has been a good relationship, in maintaining our vehicles.

I called KC automotive in hopes I could find a good deal close to my house, and I got exactly that. After having a tow from my workplace in Redmond, they diagnosed my vehicle and gave me an accurate time of completion the next day. They followed through with the expected service time (and from a person who normally does her own work, I was very impressed with how fast it came out) and the price for parts and labor were very fair.

Work was done well too; it's as if I was the one fixing my truck myself! Front office people are professional and nice, but also are fun to joke around with. I've had bad experiences with a lot of places (hence why I do my own work) but I did not have anything bad to say after leaving the lot. I will definitely be coming back again, for things even as simple as an oil change. If I could leave 10 stars I would.

It took almost 4 days to fix my breaks. Was told they were hopefully going to have it finished on the 3rd day and never heard back so when I went in before they closed was told "they must have ran out of hope" It's funny now but wasn't quite so funny when I didn't have my car from Friday to Thursday. (They aren't open weekends) After getting my car back that same day my breaks were making a grinding sound which was not great.

The brakes seem to be doing fine now. I wasn't sure how to respond to the comment but the call with voicemail asking me to call back was on 10/15 at 1:47 pm and I had called back on 10/15 at 2:30 pm. So I'm not 100%sure what happened.
