Awesome service, and super fast turn around on the repair. They had me out, back to work in no time. They even shopped around for the parts at a cheaper price. Kept me updated during the whole time. And now my 10 year old truck drives as good as it did day one. I would recommend them to anyone for their transmission repairs/services.

Had some issues with the front end of my 4x4 truck. The entire staff there is incredibly helpful and courteous, EXCELLENT customer service! They took the time to do the job right, and taught me a few things about the mechanics of it all. Thanks!
Took my 2012 Honda Odyssey in because at 90,000 miles it was surging and making noise and not shifting right in lower speeds. They checked the Honda service bulletin and on that recommendation, they updated the software and did a flush/refill of the transmission. It's running perfectly now. That repair was quite reasonably priced. There is a reason if you ask people around here about transmission issues, they'll recommend Jim and Sons. Great service!
The customer service is wonderful and they tell you exactly what they did with your vehicle. Very honest.
Jim & Sons Transmission is the very best, call them first before anyone else. The entire staff is so great, from Beverly who will set you up with your appointment to Tiffany who will always keep you updated on the progress of the repair. I want to thank the skillful techs who got my 09 Fusion with 230k miles back on the road. I love my car and to be driving it once again feels awesome. Runs like new. I highly recommend Jim and Sons to anyone who doesn't want to say goodbye to their car because it has too many miles and because someone told you it would be way too expensive to replace the transmission. Go to Jim and Sons, and get it repaired, you won't be disappointed. Trust me and Trust them. Great People!!! Thanks to all
These guys are awesome. They really care about you and not just taking your money. They stored my car, free of charge for 2 months while I tried to figure out what to do with it and then they helped me load it onto a flatbed to move it away, happily, even though they weren't going to get to do any work on it after all that time. Every time I called, the women who answered the phone was polite and kind. Top notch people to do business with.
Very, very excellent customer service.... and great transmission work too !!! Any company that takes the time to "hand write" a "thank you for your business card"... is just top notch. The work to 2008 Ford truck was quick and at a fair price. I am now a loyal Jim and Sons customer... (PS - if your hungry, they can give you directions to a small local restaurant, within walking distance, best breakfast in years)
These guys are very professional. I live in Pittsburgh so they are 2 hrs from me but I still get my transmission worked on there when I am in town for work. It's one of those places you can take your car and know that you are taken care of, that everything will be figured out and done right so you can leave not having to worry about it anymore. Highly recommended!
Jim and Sons does great work. I have had several vehicles serviced Canton and Cuyahoga Falls, at both their locations and they did a great job on both. I highly recommend them if you need any type of transmission work done.
Excellent experience! I had my car towed to Jim and Son's right before Thanksgiving. They drove it, did a diagnostic test, and broke the news to me with an detailed explanation and quote. All my questions were answered throughly. The car wasn't worth fixing due to the fact that it was 25 years old. They didn't charge me a thing! They were even ok with me leaving the car in their lot a few extra days due to the holiday weekend and me struggling to arrange for a tow to the scrap yard. I felt that my junker and I were treated with the same respect as if I owned a Bentley!
Honest & professional. I took my vehicle in to have the transmission checked. It was not the transmission at all. It just needed axle repair. They could have said I needed a new transmission. But they did not. And the final bill was less than my oral quote. If you have a transmission or drive train issue, I highly recommend this shop. Totally worth the drive... even if a little out of your way.
Would you like to know what’s wrong with Jim and Sons? …Absolutely nothing!
For the past two weeks I’ve had a horrible squealing noise coming from underneath my truck. A friend looked at it, told me it was the u-joints and offered to fix it for me. While I did appreciate his generosity, the squealing continued after his attempt. I then took my truck to a large chain auto service center to get their opinion and an estimate. Their diagnosis was also the u-joints and their estimate was through the roof. I asked another friend if he knew of an honest affordable place that I could take my vehicle. Before I could finish asking he blurted out “Jim and Sons”.
I set up an appointment to have my truck looked at the next day. Beverly and Max were two people that I dealt with at Jim and Sons. I don’t think I’ve ever had a more pleasant experience dealing with anyone not only in an Auto shop but also in any service industry as I had with those two. My truck was dropped off the following day. Beverly was nice enough to drive me back to work within minutes. A few hours later Max called to let me know that my truck was ready. Not only did they save me well over $200.00, they also fixed the u-joint that my friend installed incorrectly.
I would recommend Jim and Sons in a heartbeat to anyone. Do yourself a favor and go see them. You will not regret it.
