Jay's Kirkland Autocare is a family owned auto repair shop that has been serving the Kirkland area since 1988. We are an award winning AAA Washington approved facility and a NAPA Autocare Service Center and back up all of our parts and services with a 24 month or 24,000 miles warranty (unless otherwise noted). We have an after-hours key dropbox, allowing 24/7 convenience for dropping off your vehicle whether it's towed-in or you bringing it to our location. Everyone knows it's really hard to find a good mechanic! We can honestly say we have established our business over the past 25+ years by word-of-mouth and very little advertising. We have customers that have been with us for that many years and their children (second generation Jay's customers) are bringing their cars to us too.
Jay and Kim Henwood have owned Jay's Kirkland Autocare, Inc. since 1988. Throughout these years they have nurtured customers with honesty and true compassion for automotive repair needs. Safety is always the priority and then they work with each customer and their needs from there. Our staff have combined experience of more than 150 years, and most of our staff have been with us for more than 10 years. We strive to go above-and-beyond the average auto repair shop. It's an honor for us to serve our family, friends and customers.
Our technicians are "champions" in our eyes! They know that knowledge is power and they do everything to attain it and investigate it for your benefit. Their certification credentials are too long to list but they have the ASE certifications to prove it! Jay's Kirkland Autocare is very proud but also honored to have received multiple awards through the years.
Our Management Team will be the first person you will talk to so they can get as much information from you as possible. Once you have made your appointment, your vehicle will be in good hands while our technicians do everything they can to ensure your repair needs are diagnosed properly and your repair is completed to your satisfaction.

The folks at Jay's Kirkland Auto Care continue to provide the most professional, trustworthy and competent Auto care I have experienced. What I like most about these guys is they dont upsell or pressure. I asked if my 22 yo jeep needs to have the seals replaced due to some very minor leaking. They said they could do it but probably wont solve the problem.they explained an older car just does that. That kind of honesty makes me a repeat customer. Most other places would've done it without the disclaimer just to make the sale. I refer them often.

Everything you want in a mechanic. Great work. Honest. Back up there work if something goes wrong without a charge. Go above and beyond to keep your car running. I've brought my car to Jay's twice, and both times the service was fast and priced fairly and accurately (no hidden surprises!). I have a 2014 Xterra, and I have had to have a battery replacement, brakes, rotators, oil change etc- they do great work! Will keep coming here, and highly recommend. Kyle and his team took care of me. I was dealing with some electrical / battery problems in the midst of Seattle snow storm. They were able to be flexible with me and getting my car into them. Once into them they got to work on it right away, while having a busy garage and double checked it the next morning to have my car running smoothly. I find them to be trustworthy, competitive pricing and timely!
