Trusted John with my 2009 Mazda 3 and was not disappointed! He really went above and beyond on services, but more importantly with customer service. He checked in and was adamant about making sure I was happy with how my car was functioning. There was a slight issue with my emergency brake cable but when I took it to get looked at, I took it to a different shop since I was no longer in Cedar Park and in Lubbock. WELL, John went ahead and paid this shop to fix the cable placement! As a graduate student I really appreciate the time and care given to my vehicle, not to mention making sure I get where I need to be safely : Thanks John!

I had issue with vibration during braking at 50mph for my 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL. Spoke with Carrisa about akebono rotors and brake pads replacement parts. I spoke with John Shea about it. He confirmed that he can get the akebono front rotors and pads. The rear ones will have to be different quality rotors. He quote the price, took it to his shop in the morning at 8:15am.
The job completed at 1:30pm. Car performed great. Quality workmanship and done right. Love John Shea and his team. This will be the shop I will take my car for service. Highly recommend to friends. Definitely A+++++. Full five star. Apr-7-2022.

The guys over at Japanese Motor Sports diagnosed my engine problems and knocked out the work in a day. They did a fantastic job and I can't stress enough on how fast they finished the work and the expertise they have to get the job done. It was a lot of work, and they did great! I was out of the country and my daughters car broke down. I called John and explained the issue and sent my daughter over. John had his guy go over the car with a fine tooth comb. Got it all fixed up. Did several little things for free. Said he treated it like he would for his daughter. Love this place.

I am new to Texas & to the old 4Runner I purchased. John did an amazing job on the suspension but there was some miscommunication with some of the other needs that the truck had. John followed up with me the next day and promptly resolved the issue, only charging me for parts. Honest, fair and fast mechanic that educates you on what was done. I was recommended to Japanese Motorsport by a friend when I was having oil leak issues. John was so incredibly helpful and was able to take a look at it the same day. I made an appointment the next morning and by noon, my car was ready to be picked up. A few days later one of his office staff Athena followed up with me to make sure everything was running smoothly. Outstanding customer service! They have definitely gained a returning customer!

I was having problems with my windows not rolling down and needed an oil change, so I took it in. John and his crew was wonderful, not only giving me my usual excellent oil change (only they seem ale to reset the indicator light on my dash whenever I get an oil change), but he also fixed the window problem. It seems that my car's memory needed to be reset, so he fixed the problem without charge. I trust that I will get the right service at a reasonable price and I will continue to use Japanese Motors for all my auto service needs.

I've used John's shop many times and will continue as long as I am in Austin. Service and value of this shop is hard to beat. Great family owned shop what has stood the test of time. Support our local Families and their businesses! You won't find a better shop in the round rock area! Plus you get to see some great cars at his shop, like the shop owned 71 Mustang that has been reconditioned like new and has been in his family since new. Plus he has customers with some really awesome cars that are there from time to time. John always has a minute to talk with you and seems to know everyone. Great place!

Can't say enough about John and his crew. We have been bringing our vehicles to them for years now. John runs a "well oiled" shop and is very thorough in all of his work. Efficiency at it's best and high quality customer service, both things that are very hard to find in today's world of get em in and get em out service.nope that is not John. Absolutely the BEST customer service I have ever experienced. John and his team went above and beyond to help me out when my car had engine problems. I had taken it to the Mazda dealership but their diagnosis seemed fishy. John not only offered to call them for me, but he also spent his spare time researching the problem himself. Ultimately what started out as a $6-9k engine rebuild estimate from Mazda turned into a quick flushing for $400. I am tremendously grateful and will 100% recommend this business to everyone I know.
