Jack and Linda Gregory opened Jack's Auto Service, Inc. in Wassaic in June of 1985. Today their station, AAA Approved, a NAPA Autocare Center, and an ASE Certified repair station, is one of the top repair stations in Dutchess County. Jack's services both foreign and domestic vehicles and offers the latest technology for diagnosis and repairs. We offer a full-range of services including towing, shuttle service, and assistance with car rentals. When you bring your vehicle in to our shop, we listen carefully and investigate the problem before we give you a diagnosis.

New vehicle maintenance just got a little simpler now that you don't have to take your vehicle back to the dealer. Instead you can bring it to Jack's Auto Service and your warranty stays in effect - it's the law and Congress says so! In 1975, the U.S. Congress passed the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act - a federal law that governs consumer product warranties.
The failure of a timing belt in many cars can result in major engine damage. The cost of repairing an engine with a broken timing belt is much greater than the cost of a timing belt replacement. At Jack's we repair foreign and domestic vehicles - cars, trucks, vans, SUV's, and Hybrids. Also, we are equipped to service school buses and motor homes.
Jack's Auto Service, Inc., is proud to be the first AAA Approved Auto Repair station in Dutchess County, New York. The Approved Auto Repair program has been around since 1975. Since that time, nationally, AAA has inspected and approved repair facilities all across the country. I brought my Toyota Prius here after the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree with warning lights related to the hybrid braking system. I took a chance with Jack's since they listed had "hybrids" on their website. I was worried about having the problem diagnosed incorrectly, there are a lot of horror stories online of people paying thousands to fix the same issue only to have it return shortly after. Thankfully Jack's correctly diagnosed the problem and repaired it as soon as the parts were available. I was glad to see that the final cost of the repair wasn't more than the initial estimate. I've driven about 1000 miles on the car since and everything works great!

This shop absolutely went above and beyond for me. I got what I thought was a flat tire which turned out to be a badly cracked rim, two hundred miles from my house and was basically stranded. Instead of charging me an arm and a leg, or trying to sell me a new rim, Brian pulled out the welder and was able to weld and repair my rim, allowing me to drive back home to get back home to my family.
I was blown away by the service at this shop, treated like family is an understatement. these guys are the real deal, saved me probably close to 700$, and I'm extremely happy with the service provided at this shop. 5/5 stars couldn't be happier I would highly recommend. I never give reviews but with them going above and beyond I felt the world needs to know.

Went here for a year with my old car when i got it. He inspected it before i bought it. From the start, it was burning oil way too fast, burning gas, no pick up. They only did oil changes all that time and told me to bring it in earlier and earlier. Pretty soon it's burning the oil by 1500 miles. Either poor or no communication from wife, Linda, who seems to be in charge, finally left them, and in 2 days it was driving like a new car.
They literally put my life in danger by ignoring the real problem - it needed a tune up! Unbelievable. I also heard they try to slander the competition and spy on them. Such a bizarre and dangerous experience. Highly dysfunctional place.

I cannot believe how fast and efficient they were. I went in to get an oil change, two tires, and a tune up. It literally took an hour and a half! It felt like I was in and out! My car runs amazing, I will definitely be back! Services: Auto engine tuning, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change, Tires
