If you are looking for a business with very high integrity and commitment to making things right for the customer then look no further than J&M. I originally came to the shop as I was effectively broken down off the LIE and needed to find someplace quickly. Thankfully for me, J&M was the closest shop to where I was and they took me in on a Friday evening.

Everyone I spoke with there was friendly and helpful and they made a point of getting my repairs done the next morning so I could have the car back for the weekend. Unfortunately I had a slight issue a couple of weeks later and Mike (one of the owners) jumped right on it and made it right. Throughout the process he was patient, fair and professional.

His only concern was making the issue right and making sure I had a positive experience and the car was fully ready for the road. I would use J&M again in an instant and am sure that commitment to the customer flows through to everyone that works there. Thank you J&M!

Been a customer for more than 10 years and ever since the son has taken over management of this place, they have been less than reputable. Most recently they serviced the car including battery replacement and few other things and delivered the car back to the garage. When I went to use the car and inspected under the hood - the old battery was back in the car; the car was dead and could not start; when I installed a new battery the car would not start; clearly they did not service the car. Will pursue legal action particularly since they quoted one price, invoiced and second price, and billed a third price, what! Avoid this place if at all possible.

I've been going to J&B for over twenty years. They are honest, trustworthy and reliable. I have had nothing but good experiences, and I'd highly recommend.

Longtime Syosset resident here. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. They inspected my car after an accident, told me I was good to drive, and my car broke down hours later on the highway. Nearly killed my dog and I. I'm pursuing legal retribution.

I was in the area from out of state when my van started idling really rough. I googled shops in Syosset NY and wound up at J&M. Randy diagnosed the problem immediately and I was back on the road in 2.5 hours. The price was very fair and they could have really taken advantage of an out of towner that needed to get back on the road. A very clean waiting area with a very professional staff. I have been using J & M for over 25 years, and my family used them from when we first moved to Syosset. I will never use any other service station. I get my vehicles back in top notch shape and always a fair price. Knowledge of car maintenance the crew has on every make and model is amazing. Big job from car accident was done and insurance paid about 18k. But rapidly know steering issue left and second time needed to work. It was not nice in every time visit and not satisfied. Wiper light was on after 2 weeks and there is grindpy sound when turning to the right which couldn't be fixed ever. We went other fair shop and spent several hundreds to fix those unprofessional wiring issue and strauss issue in which unequal nut for turning. Basically they didn't do professional or racial discrimination.

I went here recently for the first time. I explained that I needed to have my brakes done in the same day. These guys quickly assessed the problem and found the time to complete the job on a Saturday morning. Great customer service.

I have been looking for an honest mechanic since I started driving, and found several at J&M. They are real experts and will explain exactly what needs to be done to your car, why it needs to be done, and how much it will cost. To give you an idea how much I trust these guys, every time my 19 year old daughter is about ti drive ten hours to college, I bring it to J&M to look over everything and fix anything that needs to be fixed. It makes me relax a little knowing the car will be solid for that long drive.

Racist asf! owner looks me in the eyes as he pulls out the driveway because it is 5:59 and they close @ 6:00 no remorse he knows i was coming for my car was in constant communication with him! unfortunately i am black and we always get lifes short end of the stick this will go up on yelp and wont go any further! fu+%k this place! karma sucks tho

These people are sleazy bags. I dropped off my car for an oil change and a couple hours later they called me to pick up my car. When I checked the oil, obviously it was not change, the same color and depth as I had seen before the oil change. I went back and told that sleazy bag at the counter and he called me a liar. total asshole. Do not ever go to this fucking place.

Absolutely the best automotive repair place around. Courteous, Professional and always cheerful. Mike and Randy, the owners, are two of the most honest people I know. I bring my car to them from St James. It's a hike. But worth it. They also have 24 hour towing and a real clean waiting room.

I don't know how much one can say about an auto repair station except they do excellent work, they don't sell you parts and services you don't need and that personality of the ownership is exemplary. All of this is true about this station and I highly recommend it.

I had used J & M for many years while living in Syosset. They're prices where fair and there mechanics are top notch. I never had any issues with them. If you are looking for mechanics that are fair priced and do good work then J & M is for you.

Was recommended by a friend whose family has been going here for over 10 years. Went to another local shop with a brake problem and said I needed about $930 worth of repairs or else I'd crash my car and get sued (tried to scare me into getting the work done then and there, and weaseled $40 diagnostic fee out of me). Called up this spot, gave me a brief estimate of worse case scenario after I gave him the details of what the other shop had said - he ballparked me $600 if all those things were necessary, but told me he could check it out and might be able to repair some parts instead of replacing it. Ended up paying much less than that! Will definitely be coming back here if my car ever needs repairs.

These guys are top notch. Years ago my BMW had a check engine light that would come and go for no apparent reason. Took it to the bmw dealer and they told me I'm not putting the gas cap back on right. Brought the car to these guys and Mike did some serious digging to find out that the problem required a software update for the evap system. Bottom line, these guys put in more effort than the place that sells you the car. Been coming here ever since and never looked back

Super expensive, can get the same service at a dealership, which is regularly the most expensive.

Great place to get a car fixed. Have brought in flat tires, fixed right away, with no waiting. And got me going. They treat you right and the prices are great. Brought in for tune ups, and recently for a broken muffler pipe. Car has never sounded better. Check engine light is now off as well. I can't say enough good things about them. They are close to the Syosset LIRR station.

So if you can't get a parking spot, you can drop off for an oil change, and skip the parking. I've also dropped off my car for a repair and headed over to the wine specialist for a tasting while I waited.

While this is a distance from me, the honesty, professionalism and concern is worth it! Randy is a trustworthy individual who has been in business for some time now. Whenever I head over here there are others who have been coming for yeas and years. My car is always scheduled and they take me on time, my fees are discussed before repairs are done and they even complete it same day if parts and time allow. A must try for women bc I have been to other places who completely weren't as great as this place!

Very efficient and friendly service here. Have had my car serviced by J&M several times, each time I was able to drop my car off and get it back the same day. They always remember your name and are quick to provide you with any details you may ask about the service being done to your vehicle. I work in Syosset so it's nice to be able to drop my car and just walk over when it's ready.
