I had a great experience today at hodge repair. I had an issue with my 2004 jeep a c not blowing cold. Wes took it in at 8 0 5 am He had it cooling great by 9 1 0. I was impressed greatly by his expertise and knowledge of my vehicle. I waited in the office and had a great conversation with Jason Brown the office manager. They were very helpful and super courteous to me.

I highly recommend these good folks for any repairs you may need. Go on by and see them and tell them Mayodan Man sent you. The price I paid was very reasonable. I took my 14 year old RAV 4 (189,000 miles) that was burning a quart of oil every tank thinking it would need an engine refurbishment. They said there are a couple of things to look at before doing anything that drastic. They fixed it! I have already driven 4 tanks of gas and oil level is still full! I am new to the area and they earned my business.

The epitome of the standards I hold customer service to! I was greeted the moment I entered their office, and taken care of the moment the gentleman finished his call. Unfortunately, they are facing the short end of demand due to being short staffed; but this didn't take away from the courtesy and hospitable assistance from all of the gentleman that I engaged with the day of my visit. Looking forward to returning!

I could not be happier with my experience taking my car here. The whole team worked around my needs and my ability (and lack thereof) to leave my car at the shop for an extended time. They were very honest in their assessment telling me it would either be a $50 part and an hour of labor or a $300 part and 12 hours of labor (thank goodness it was the former!). I just wish I had found them sooner (like when I lived right up the road from them).

Wes went above and beyond to diagnose my truck. He even brought in a transmission specialist at no extra charge, researched my warranty, recall notices, and service advisories (which he printed out for me). Additionally, he pointed me in the right direction if I wanted to try to get GM to cover the repair which might have worked had I not decided just to go and get a new car before it was too late to trade it in.

I would also like to point out that he knew that I was a travel nurse who would be moving on to another state in a month. They totally could have screwed me over knowing that it would have been too difficult for me to have any recourse living in another state, but they didn't. In fact it was quite the opposite in spite of knowing that they would not be able to get any further business from me.

If I lived here permanently then they would be my go-to people for any work I needed done on my car. That says a lot coming for me because I don't believe I have ever trusted a mechanic before.

I had to change my 5 star review to a 3. I look my RX300 for a check engine light which proved to be the thermostat. I asked to get the thermostat replaced and figured I would get the water pump and timing belt done as well. I was quoted a price for all three service by the lead mechanic/ manager. Before paying for the repairs, I was give a verbal confirmation that all the work was done, including the thermostat.

A few day later the same check engine light code came on again, so I too it back to the Hodge. The manager, reset every code and told me to bring my suv back if the check light came back on. I to the suv in for third time for the same problem. Jason calls me later to tell the suv needs a thermostat and it was not replace when I first brought it in.

I describe their tech that told 3 times the thermostat was replaced. During my first visit I gave the service manager the report from Autozone, show the thermostat issue. This was the main reason it took it to Hodge. So I was very upset to hear that my RX300 never got a thermostat, even though the manager and mechanic told me it was done. The service manager wrote up the work order when I first registered my vehicle for service.

Also he was the person I spoke with when the check engine light came back on. He gave some excuse that did not make sense. The third time is when Jason told me the thermostat was never done. I find it inexcusable to let a client come in asking for the checking light to be confirmed and fix thermostat issue, only to get an up sell and still not fit the initial problem.

The said part, is the mechanic lied in my face multiple times in the same conversation. On top of that I gave repeat business. I did not get a discount when I had the do thermostat work they lied about. The manage never apologized or had mechanic apologize. I am not happy with the way I was treated, even though I was a repeat customer. The shop does a lot of business and maybe I just happen to catch them on an off day, but for them not to make it right and apologize was unacceptable.

Honest, friendly, knowledgeable and willing to inspect your vehicle for current and future needs. The prices are good. I have been quoted less from other shops only to end up getting poor workmanship or been charged more when I came to Pick up my vehicle. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP FOR YOUR LEXUS NEEDS. If there is work they cannot do, they will recommend you to a shop that does qualify work.

They all did a great job helping me and I appreciate them for being upfront and honest with me about my vehicles condition. They showed me videos of how bad the rust damage to my car was and helped me find out what I should do next. I have just moved into the area and I was wary of finding a new mechanic; these guys put my mind at ease. Thank you.

Job was completed on time and the price was fair. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. Have been here several times and always been pleased with the work.

I called Hodge Garage to see if they could help with getting our license plate removed to put our new NC plate on. The bolts had seized up from the corrosion of the salty winters up north. I was able to get in the same day and Wayne did an awesome job getting those stubborn bolts out. When I went to pay he said there is no charge and welcome to the area! I highly recommend Hodge Garage if you like indie shops instead of going to the dealer. I will be back for my future automotive needs.

I was very fortunate to take my vehicle to Hodge Garage for the beyond accurate diagnostic handling of warnings from my brake and ABS systems. It was handled very quickly, and I was provided a full appraisal of a truly reasonable expense for the eventual potentially needed repair. I now know that I will always take my vehicle there for any maintenance and needed repairs. Thanks, Wayne!

I first stumbled on this gem of a business when I was in search of a new mechanic. This was recommended, and even though skeptical, I was in a pinch. I had been told that the alternator on my vehicle was bad and needed to be replaced. I left it at Hodge Garage and waited for the bad news. Imagine my surprise when I got the call saying nothing was wrong! What?!? Nope, nothing wrong.

When I asked, "how much do I owe you?" That reply was even more surprising.'nothing, you can just come get your truck" What?!? Because of the honesty and integrity, I will never use another shop. They could have easily told me they replaced it and charged me (some would have) Or they could have replaced it unnecessarily (some would have), but no.and they didn't even charge a diagnosis fee, which I fully expected and would have gladly paid.

And that's not the first time we've left our vehicle there with a concern, only to be told, "nope, nothing wrong." Honestly and integrity is something you cannot purchase. When I leave my vehicle(s), I have the utmost confidence that I will receive a quality repair (or an honest "nothing is wrong"). I even send my teen daughters there to get oil changes, etc.

I know, without a doubt, that they are going to be cared for as if these young women belong to the owner's own family. I highly recommend this hidden gem of a service station. Just go there and see for yourself.

Wayne and his crew are top notch. They are passionate about doing good work and taking care of their customers. They are honest to a fault. They fixed my 1981 Jeep CJ7 and were very helpful. They were on time, on price and were very good communicators. It is hard to find this kind of service. I definitely recommend them.

I find the mechanics and the customer service at Hodge Garage to be very knowledgeable of their profession, honest, polite, reliable and conscientious. I have been using their services for more than a decade, and I will continue to do so.

Wayne and his team are top notch mechanics with reasonable and fair pricing and completely up front communication. If you're used to going to a dealership you will be shocked at how reasonable his pricing is. If you're looking for a "that ain't what you told me to fix" attitude, look elsewhere. If they see something that needs attention they will let you know about the problem and give you low cost options.

They stand behind their work - I've taken most of my vehicles to him at one point or another, some for minor work, and some major work: timing belts, engine replacement, diff rebuild/regear, transmission replacement, you name it - he handled it professionally and stood behind his work. He even helped me out by investing in over $400 in specialty tools to fix my mother in law's Audi when the stealership wanted $3000 to do some work.

His bill did not include the cost of the tools since it was an investment on his part. Cost was less than $1800 total for the same exact work. I do a lot of my own work, and especially now since I'm unemployed, but when my talents have been exhausted, Wayne is the ONLY guy I trust to do it right. Take any non 5 star reviews with a grain of salt. For reference, 4 of my 8 below:

Hodge seems to do good work, but they always try to up sell my husband. They're a little expensive too.

My son and I were in GSO looking for a decent, cheap used car. I had come from Seattle and I met my son from NYC in GSO. In a great stroke of luck, I found Hodge Garage and asked Wes if he could take a look at a car I was considering. The folks there were very accommodating, ending up checking out 3 or 4 cars for us. Wes said he would accept payment when we found one worth keeping!

We did and very gratefully paid a minimal fee for all their work and good advice. While they did not actually perform mechanical repairs for us, they did demonstrate a high degree of knowledge, expertise and honesty. Thanks again, Wes and crew!

I had my Chevy's air condition system repaired today at Hodge Garage in Greensboro. I must say they are the most efficient and knowledgeable auto repair service in the Triad. My vehicle was diagnosed and repaired in record time. The technichian and customer service in the office were awesome.best around. I plan on having all my repairs completed there in the future. A service you can trust. Very very HONEST, friendly environment and a great bunch of PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIANS. VERY PLEASED.so glad I found them.

I feel like the estimate I got was a little over priced to "replace my water pump" took it to a garage on Spring Garden and found I didn't need a new water pump, just a new hose, and clamp. I'm sure these guys do good work, they seem to be knowledgable, but I didn't have the cash to replace my pump anyway, glad to be driving around!
