I have a 2006 Ford Explorer with 240,000 miles on it. Battery light went on. Engine light went on. My entire car dash shut down. Had no idea what the problem was. Heath's auto ran extensive diagnostics and got right to the source within a day. Narrowed it down to the alternator. I desperately needed my car back within 3 days for a huge out of town appointment.

They fixed the part within a day and a half! It's doing great now! No problems left. It made the distance I needed to go smoothly. Superior job to the Heath's Auto team. The best in Flagstaff ever since using them. I've never regretted the decision due to fast and precise service, and perfectly affordable at that.

On our visit to Flagstaff our vehicle started leaking gas. We had more than one person recommend us to use Heath's. Thank goodness we did. My van started having a electronic issue (the battery stopped charging) on a cross country trip, so I took it here. They suggested we replace the alternator. A diagnostic would be an extra $90. I had previously had the alternator checked, so I decided to get a diagnostic first. I found it odd they would jump to replacing the alternator without even checking it out first and charge me extra if I wanted to make sure that was even the problem.

But they had great reviews right? (DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!) Anyway, we had an understanding that if they found something after the diagnostic (such as confirming an alternator issue) they would fix it. Well, after several hours, they told me they did the diagnostic and it was just a loose wire, which they claimed to have fixed. So I paid and went on my way. 90 min later the SAME ISSUE returned, only this time the battery was running out and I was even further from Flagstaff.

I had to turn around and drive all the way back, hoping that my van wouldn't die in the middle of the desert at night (plus they were closed by then). So, they didn't diagnose anything at all. Nor did they fix anything. The delay pushed me into Memorial Day weekend and hotel prices were NUTS combined with a 3 day weekend when no mechanics were available.

On Friday they had texted me asking if everything was all good, and I responded that they didn't actually diagnose or fix anything, so what did I pay them for? I requested a refund. Never heard from them again. Clearly they don't care. Getting stuck in Flagstaff at that time due to their carelessness cost me huge amounts of money, time, and missed work days. AVOID THIS PLACE!

It wasn't even the alternator causing the problem, it was the regulator, so thank goodness I didn't spend the $450ish they suggested for an alternator replacement without ANY diagnosis of the issue. Why didn't they check the regulator during a diagnostic?! That would have been standard procedure given the issue at hand. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE.

I have been going to Heaths for over a year now and I am always impressed by their service and their pricing! I especially love that they are open at 7:30am and close at 6:00pm. I never have to worry about taking time off of work to have my car looked at. They'll also get you a temporary ride if needed for the day. Best auto-shop in town for my money.

These guys are top notch. Brought in my Accord for its 30000 mile service. They got the work done expediently and with all due diligence. The cost was exceptional. With this service, it will be my go to auto shop. Thanks

I've taken my car there a few times. Excellent service, very fair prices. Family recently had a bout with Covid and they were good enough to let me keep the vehicle there for several extra days with no problem. Heath's Auto is my "go to" shop in Flagstaff. They have been my mechanic for literally almost 20 years. I use them for everything from oil changes, tires, major repairs, etc. Whenever I look to buy a used car, I take it to Heath's before I buy it. They have helped me keep one car going for more than 200K. They are honest, help you prioritize your maintenance cycles when money is tight and have a very fast turn around on getting your car back to you. An added bonus, is they have loaner cars too!

My car had an intermittent issue that was hard to replicate but the team here was determined to figure it out. I've had past experiences with mechanics that don't try to understand what's going on with my car if the problem isn't obvious and it was just so great to feel heard! The problem ended up being a bigger deal than I thought but they spent two days calling around to get quotes for a number of ways to approach the problem. I really appreciate the thoroughness, honesty, and listening.

WARNING! Do not bring your vehicle to this shop for repair! They will take advantage and charge for repairs not performed.

Heath's provided the best service I've ever experienced! Not only are the priced better then most, they were able to squeeze me in with little notice on my part and had my vehicle done in just under an hour! To top that off, I was surprised to find a lollipop and a teddy bear in my nephews car seat in the back! There is no doubt I will be back next time my vehicle needs something! They go above and beyond!

Recently I had shaking on my drivers side front wheel while coming to a stop. Couldnt get a hold of my mechanic and needed the work done so i went with heaths. First they gave me a $2000 estimate, i told them bypass a few items which brought me to $1300. The work was to be done within 2 days. The following day i called to receive a update and was told they would be done with the truck within a couple hours.

They then called and told me my master cylinder (brakes) failed and i would not be able to drive out(i drove in it was fine), and asked in a demanding way for another $1000. Long story short, i told them to fix my truck the way it was or that i would pay them off and have my truck towed elsewhere. They then called backed within a hour and told me all was fine.

The next day after picking my truck up i hopped out of my truck and noticed a new scratch and dent. I thought about and decided not to place a complaint. A few days ago i went to wash my truck and noticed my hub cap was now missing(new wheels)! And im here. Mechanics are supposed to be trusted professionals, i would never send anyone i know to heaths auto.

Heath's has made a long term customer out of me. The mechanics do a tremendous job finding and solving problems, providing timely updates and recommendations, as well as taking the time to make sure things are done correctly. The front of house guys (Jeff and Jeffrey) always make me feel welcome and I leave with the confidence that my vehicle is in good hands. I never imagined my camper van would be so enjoyable to drive!

10/10 do not recommend this mechanic. I first brought my car in with rear differential problems. They used bad parts and over-tightened something, causing it to break again within a few hundred miles. I was in phx when it happened and the mechanic there who fixed their work charged far less. I brought my car in a second time since I'd heard good things despite my experience and they estimated over $4,000 worth of repairs and claimed damage that made ZERO sense.

Next mechanic I took it to quoted $800 and was honest that my car would still run okay without the full repairs Go anywhere else, especially if you're a young woman that they're gonna assume is stupid

So I originally left a do not recommend review on behalf of my parents. Long story short, Matthew the GM made things right and it went a long way. I would suggest to others if they have any issues, speak to Matt. He’s very reasonable and level headed

I had a few issues with my car and Heath's was able to fit me in within 2 days. They called frequently with updates and to make sure I was okay with them moving forward with repairs. Everyone inside was wearing masks, which is excellent.

I initially had posted a negative review but after speaking with Matt, the GM he rectified the situation. If anyone has any issues definitely speak with Matt. He is reasonable and professional.

Professional staff, comfortable waiting area, quoted me, offered free shuttle service, very prompt service. Thank you thank you.

Heath's is the only place I will take my car and feel confident referring friends to. They are honest, fair, and provide fast, quality service. They go above and beyond and are affordable. I know they are going to help me with the maintenance of my car without trying to sell me on unnecessary work. My dad owns a car shop in Washington so growing up I was spoiled and never had to deal with the ridiculous sales tactics of the industry.

Before I found Heath's I went to two other places in Flag, one being a dealership- Awful experiences with blatant lies trying to take advantage of me. But Heath's was and always has been honest about my car and both Jeff and Jeffrey let me know what I need vs what I could do and how that impacts the mileage I'll get out of my car in its lifetime with me. That's HUGE. Plan ahead and schedule an appointment. They are busiest than their competitors for a reason.

Honest! That is huge in this industry. I had engine light and code issues with my Jeep and had googled possible issues. There were a lot of potential culprits. In the face of such, trusting an honest mechanic to find and remedy the real issue is priority. Heath's did an evaluation and could not replicate the problem and were honest enough to advise me on potential remedies without coming up with a pseudo repair and charge.

Heath's is my auto maintenance home. Solid estimate of service before the work is done. They provide very complete inspections and they do great work at a great price. I have complete trust in this auto service.

When our 2010 Nissan Xterra died in the middle of Flagstaff, we were more than a little panicked: we were visiting from Phoenix and had to leave the next morning, but had no idea what was wrong with our car. Thankfully, we reached out to Triple A and they recommended Heath's Auto Service. From start to finish, it was a great experience, despite the stress of being away from home.

They got us in quickly; provided a shuttle back to our Airbnb; updated us promptly on diagnostics; and had everything fixed beautifully by noon the next day, with another complimentary shuttle pick-up! Throughout the process, they answered several questions and concerns quickly, and were reassuring and straightforward. We had both camshaft sensors replaced for just under $750 and felt that we had received excellent service at a great value; thank you to Jeff and the rest of the Heath team for everything and for literally rescuing our vacation!

Always amazing service and they have a high attention to detail

Tried to charge me $270 to replace a spark plug wire. If you've never done this- it's an $8 part that plugs in as easy as any household outlet. I'm sure they assumed I didn't know this. I changed it in less than 10 minutes in the parking lot. Oh- not to mention they also tried to upsell me for an additional $400 "tune up" "while they were in there".

Literally tried to get almost $700 out of me on something that ended up costing me less than $8 and 10 minutes. This is after I have spent hundreds of dollars and referred multiple here. I won't even go into how they tried to get me to spend $700 replacing a fuel pump- until I reminded them they had just done this a few months ago and it was still under warranty. Then the problem magically disappeared. Disappointed- had been a customer for a while. Sucks to learn they're trying to rip you off.

Shawn was amazing! I needed an alignment and tire rotation along with an oil change. They got me in same day and had my car ready by the time I needed it back! Super friendly service. Highly recommended

Great Shop! Honest and good people Jeff and Shawn took care of our crew coming home from Las Vegas Sin City Showdown, the largest demolition derby on the West Coast. They went above and beyond to get the parts needed in from Phoenix. They got our Tilt Bed and trailer on the road within 24 hours. Thank You.

I took my truck in Heath's because I trusted their credentials. They told me that my radiator was damaged and it needed to be replaced. Jeff, at the front desk made a big deal about there being a "silver dollar sized leak one the pavement under the truck." Since I trusted them, I had them replace the whole radiator and hoses for over $900. When I got home, my vehicle was still leaking a fluid.

Upon further inspection, I found my windshield wiper fluid reservoir leaking and running down onto the concrete. Could that have been the leak that they spotted and told me that it was my radiator? I guess there is no way to tell for sure, they have my old radiator. However, one has to wonder about the and necessity of the work performed.

After spending hundreds of dollars on repairs and bringing my vehicle back to replace a faulty part that they installed, I was called a liar in front of other customers. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer in my life. I will tow my vehicles to Phoenix before I ever take anything to Heath's again.

Had some transmission problems driving back to Oklahoma from Las Vegas. So helpful and direct to the problem. Had us up and running the next morning first thing! Thank you so much life savers!

I took my car in to get a window fixed - did a good job which is why I returned here for my broken A/C. I paid $350 for them to "fix it". I took a road trip the next day and by the time I got to where I was going, my A/C had gone out again. I took it back to them so hopefully they could actually fix it at no charge since they clearly did not fix it the first time and they wanted another $600.

Complete crap. The second time I took it back, there were 2 other people who came in stating that they were back because their "fixed part" of their car was broken again. All Heath's Auto Service wants out of their customers is money. Do not ever come here. Waste of your money.

Heath's Auto Service is an fantastic, independently-owned auto repair shop in Flagstaff. I can always depend on them to accurately diagnosis and repair any vehicles that we refer to them from our shop in Tempe, AZ. We feel great knowing that if our customers are traveling in Flagstaff, and end up needing auto repair, Heath's will take care of them and get them back on the road!

Long time customer of this auto shop: helped me out in a crunch. Firmly believe in the honest integrity of the owner and his crew. This time they did not write down my appointment which was disappointing, but the car was worked on that morning. I will further add, the waiting was comfortable with snacks, coffee and free wi- fi. My daughter lives in flagstaff now, so she is going to give them a try now too. Highly recommend this service shop for those who want service options and clear explanations. They wash your vehicle too

Our jeep broke down around 4pm, had to wait for a tow, and had no option but to take AAA's advice on a nearby auto repair shop. We arrived an hour after closing and lucky for us there was 1 repairman leaving late. Jeff stayed to talk to us and hear our situation despite the time and workload they had (8 cars arriving that day). Jeff called and texted us first thing in the morning, ensuring us that the jeep would be fixed promptly so we could continue our trip to moab.

My boyfriend and I are beyond thrilled - so much so that the bf wants to continue getting the jeep fixed by Jeff even if we have to drive from Parker to Flagstaff. Thank you Jeff! Wish us luck in Moab :)

What an amazing place. My daughter is a student at NAU, yesterday when she went to school her car broke down. Heath's Auto was able to get her car in ASAP, diagnose and repair all yesterday. She needed a new fuel pump, when she picked up her car the fuel pump was faulty (not do to anything the mechanics did), they took her car back in, gave her a ride to her apartment, offered to drive her to and from school today also.

They ended up staying late and replacing the fuel pump and had it ready for her this morning before class. THEY MADE AN ABSOLUTE STRESSFUL SITUATION INTO AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. They took care of my daughter as if she was part of the family. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU NICOLE FOR MAKING SURE MY DAUGHTER WAS OKAY!
