I wrecked my Range Rover a couple years back and they did fantastic work. Very reasonable prices. Well, as bad luck would have it, I traded it in for a Mercedes and wrecked that too. Once again, great customer service. I had a ton of questions because this time someone had backed into me and they've handled everything really well with their insurance. So I've now brought my car(s) there twice. I highly recommend them!

Took 116 days to get body retouched and parts ordered. 116 days. Each time I called it was 'Should be done in the next 2 days'. Finally picked up the car today and they broke both motors under the seats so the driver and passenger side seats were stuck in reclining positions. Response was 'Oh with these old cars sometimes things break'.

The electrician was nice and at least admitted to me whoever got inside the car to detail it probably broke it, but I was offered no discount for the body repair and paint that took legitimately 116 days and no offer for them to fix the two seats they broke.

Steve, Don, and the crew did a fabulous job fixing my 2019 Ford F-150 pick up truck! I was side swiped on the freeway and Hawley Auto Body made my truck back to new. They repaired the driver side on several panels and completed the repair with great quality, at a cost that was reasonable and less than expected and ahead of schedule! This is the second time I have had a vehicle repaired by them and their service and quality is second to none. I highly recommend this establishment for your auto body repairs!

Steve, I want to address a couple of things after reading your most recent reply. Yes, you guys painted my car about 9 years ago. After seeing how the paint held up on my car over this period of time, i decided to leave a review. I can tell you with 100% certainty that the complete hood was not painted. You're talking to someone who bought my car new, and washed and waxed it regularly.

I had a slight blemish on the top of the hood near the windshield. It was still there after my car was painted. You cant guarantee anything if you dont do it personally. As far as the bumpers, I dont think you guys added "flex" to the paint for them. I cant say for 100% certainty, but I really doubt your crew would have taken the extra time to do this. The overall feeling of this experience was that everything was rushed.

This shop is fantastic and they seemingly do everything from body work, frame work and mechanical work. I was blown away by their service and pricing and definitely will come back for any issues I have again. The reason I came in is because my 2001 Jeep Wrangler seat bolt welded nut had stripped and there was no easy way to access it. So essentially I had only 3 bolts tying me to the Jeep.

I called, came in and was out with a fix within 2 hours. They say they prioritize safety issues, so this is a great place to go if you are in a pinch. I did walk around their lot and looked at some totally refinished vehicles, which looked fantastic. if I'm ever getting a full restore done on my Jeep it will certainly be with them.

Brought my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee in to have after market fender flares installed. The job is a very custom job and I had already had multiple auto body shops say they couldn't or wouldn't do it. Don and Steve helped get me an estimate for install and were able to not only do the work flawlessly, but for less then every other place I got quotes from. Great customer service and craftsmanship all at reasonable prices. I will bring all my vehicles here in the future for auto body and mechanical work.

2nd time here. They did 3 things extra for me including 1. screwing in my bumper no charge 2. Cleaned and waxed it. 3. Replaced my rear view mirror. This place has great prices and exceptional service. Elizabeth is knowledgeable and friendly. I am now a life long customer.

Someone bumped into my front bumper in the parking lot. I took my 2019 BMW 7-Series to Steve Hawley that was highly recommended to me. I just picked up the car today! Steve and his team did an amazing job and went over the top by fixing other scrapes on the bottom of the bumper. Customer service is great and he even saved me some money. Thank you to Hawley Auto Body for the beautiful work on my vehicle. I highly recommend them from antiques to new vehicles. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Steve!

Dan the mechanic is an expert master mechanic. I took my car in for air conditioning repair. Dan did a thorough inspection of my vehicle in addition to repairing my air conditioner. It revealed serious safety issues and miscellaneous smaller issues that the Chevy dealership completely missed. Hawley's is an old school shop with a friendly, hands-on owner. The receptionists are professional and the customer service is excellent. They've earned a lifetime customer.

I'm not really a Yelper, but I read all the reviews on Hawley before I went and I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed. I dropped my car off for an oil change after being told multiple times not to go to places like Jiffy Lube or Pep Boys, among others because they're shady and unreliable. Not to mention because I'm a girl and don't know shit about cars, they always try and sell me on a hundred different problems that they can fix for a quick couple hundred dollars.

So I went to Hawley. Told Don I wanted an oil change and my tires rotated. I expected to come back to the usual dissertation of all of my cars presenting problems. But Don just handed me my bill, it was exactly what we agreed on, and sent me on my way. Oh, and he washed my car for me? And put a hubcap on one of my tires that hasn't had a hubcap since Bush was in office?

I spoke probably 10 words to him in total, but there's something to be said for doing exactly what I asked and not trying to weasel more money out of me (if you've seen my car you know it's not even worth it lol), as well as attention to detail that's unexpected but really nice. And I just went for an oil change, so. Anyway, I'm sure people have their own experiences, but mine was solid.

Good work but shady place after buisness hours my flight got delayed I didn't land till 730 I live in OB so I drove by the shop with my mother around 8 and seen the gate open and people walking into the back office so I thought maybe I could get my car I walked up to door and it was a party going on and they were all very rude a few employees and one of the owners Bri I tried to make several complaints even sent several emails but Bri Is the only owner I can get to return my calls or emails

Key to Hawley Autobody is they are noted for classic early cars, and can usually find the rare parts through their network of suppliers. knowing that collectors want their cars to have the correct look, since many also enter them in shows. This adds to the appreciation. I have my original '68 BMW 1600 that started BMW when I entered the Air Force at Travis AFB, 50 miles from SF.

The little car had just come out, and no one heard of them, let alone, my car I chose, had a sunroof, would be rarer. It was $3300, $800 more than a Mustang. Perfect still in all ways, wherever I am, people admire the car. Is hard to miss since yellow too. Original in '68 was a boring tan, the color of our uniforms. And it races along at 80+, no worries, just to watch the rear view mirror, to avoid any hot flashes.

The interior is perfect, no restoration either, a bonus. In '74 the bumpers on all cars were extended 6 inches plus which ruined their look/design. Sorry can no add a picture.

I have a 2003 tacoma which was rear ended and I took it to these guys to get fixed up. I did have some issues with the insurance company of the at fault party which made the process a bit delayed. Enteprise rent a car is next door so that is super convenient for dropping off and getting a car. The truck came out looking great and it done very professionally and Steve Hawley made it a point to call me with updates throughout the process.

Great job! It did take a bit longer but that was more of an insurance issue. I would suggest these guys to anyone. I have also contacted them about other work that i need done for other projects i am looking to have done and they have been very prompt at giving me a quote via text. Great service! Thank you!

Brought in my 2016 Dodge Challenger Hell Cat for repairs on left corner panel. Big Mistake.so Many imperfections. I'm now getting it done the rite way from another body shop and its costing me $2500 extra dollars. Steve did offer to re do it but after leaving my widows down and allowing all the body shop dust to get inside after they were asked not to I figured there was know way!

After my regular mechanic couldn't figure out why my jeep kept stalling and dying, and I was already in over my head having spent $1000+$200 for the ignition fix in LA & now almost everything was brand new. $ 550 and a new fuel pump later, I took her to Dan. After a few communication issues, Dan called. He's a straight forward and honest guy. I stressed that I needed her back by Friday as I was starting a new job. What a relief! He was the fourth one to look at her and figured it out and fixed it. I'm grateful I found them and will always go there now. Dan is my new hero!

So I wasn't going to update this but screw these guys. The way we got the car back was awful. 6 out of the 8 spark plugs were loose. The carburetor was varnished over. I asked them repeatedly to empty the tank " you have had the car for over a year and a half. Please!" No dice on that. Lucky I have a few carburetor sitting around. Paint is already cracking.

The wire harness on the parts they replaced were hanging not attached. This is funny I pulled a bunch of AM PM breakfast wrappers and trash out of the door they supposedly fixed. It keeps loosing g the glass down the track. I wish they never touched this car.

This shop has had our 67 Camaro since Oct of 2015. They finally said come and pick it up last Friday. After lame excuse after lame excuse. April 13th 2017. Got there it was the wrong color. No metal flake. It had a spoiler when it went in where did that go? The window fell off the track when the tech touched it. Big gap on the trunk lid. No weather strip.

This was a simple insurance fender bender. I used this shop a lot. Lately it has gone way south. Do not bring g your car here. Unless you want to hear how much of their own money they have spent on it. It will be done in two weeks. This is a special hard job. No you guys can't fix a sink give it up.

Hawley Auto Body is great! Due to unforeseen circumstances, the pick-up time of my car went from Monday to Wednesday. However, during those few extra days I was called and given an explanation as to what was happening and the time frame as to when my car would be finished. Once ready for pick-up, Steve Hawley called me and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied.

He is an awesome person and truly cares about his customers. The best thing is that my car looks fabulous! I drove off feeling like I was in a brand new car. Thanks again to Don & Steve for being part of the Point Loma community and taking such good care of those of us who need their services. You Rock!

I took my car to two other highly reputable detailing shops I found on Yelp, each with hundreds of positive reviews respectively. They could just just barely better than I at removing an old clear bra I had on my hood. I have up. They gave up. Somehow, I stumbled across Hawley's shop and they assured me they could make it happen. I was kind of skeptical at this point, but they did just that.

The paint underneath that old stubborn clear bra is better than the rest of my car haha. Just nice not to have that deteriorated sticker on my hood any longer. These guys get to work!

Amazing customer service! I brought my car in since the door handle on my driver side popped off, luckily I had all the pieces still. They were able to get my car fixed in about an hour and for less than they originally estimated! This was probably one of the best experiences I've ever had at an auto repair shop and I will definitely be back if I need any more work on my car.

Hawley is THE best! A buddy and I were cross-country road tripping and got in a wreck wth a semi in west Texas. Amazingly enough, the car could drive and we kept going, but the body was demolished to hell on all sides. We stopped at several car shops from there to California so we cnan vouch that these guys gave the best service we found after searching straight across four of the US's largest states! Don, the man and the legend, hooked us up with a complete diagnostic, professional advice, and threw in some quality work to keep the car from falling apart on the road.

He regularly kept us updated throughout the day and was finished by closing time. We saved days worth of time and a wallet's worth of cash for peace of mind and higher quality work than any other place would have offered. You can tell the neighborhood also thinks this place is the bomb because of all the really, really nice cars in the lot they trust these guys with. If you're in the area and need auto work, give these guys a shot!

I've taken my vehicle to Hawley on two occasions over the last five years. The first time my insurance company recommended them, and the second time I paid out of pocket. The professionalism, customer care, and attention to detail are first rate. Both times my car came back flawless and like new. Steve was attentive and courteous every time I spoke with him.

When I picked up my car last week, Steve notified me that he did some extra work that I had declined for free as a token of appreciation "for being a teacher." I would have rated Hawley five stars regardless, but this generosity speaks volumes about the customer service they provide. After two encounters they've gained a customer for life.
