Harrells Radiator Shop For over 75 years, we have provided car repair and vehicle maintenance in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and the surrounding area. At Harrell's Tire & Auto Service we repair and maintenance all makes and models of vehicles including diesel, hybrids, electric, foreign, commercial fleet, and heavy-duty. We provide state, DMV, and DOT inspections and emission tests for North Carolina with a contactless, digital 27-point inspection system. We provide routine vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tune-ups, and brake flush.
Services
Starting as a radiator specialty shop on Gillespie Street, Luther Harrell opened his business after serving his country in World War II. The shop has continued to grow ever since. Charlie Harrell, Luther's son, incorporated the family business in 1978 and expanded the company to include auto parts and distribution.
You rely on your commercial tires to get your heavy-duty trucks to where they need to be, on time and without delay. OTR tires are different from passenger tires. They are designed for specific tire load weights and weather conditions and should withstand the toughest conditions possible. At Harrell's Tire and Auto Service, we offer quality OTR tires that fit a variety of class 3 through 8 trucks, trailers, and RVs.
Driving a safe and environmentally conscious vehicle is important. North Carolina is one of the many states that require yearly vehicle safety and emission inspections before vehicle registration. Although the standards vary from state to state, the inspection determines whether your vehicle is road safe and the emissions test regulates your car's environmental impact.

Prices are on the high end and they definitely take their time. I wouldn't recommend waiting on site for your car if possible. Everyone is very kind though

My vehicle had passed the NC inspection every where else but not at Harrels. I had my window tint installed and was assured that it was within legal limits. They failed my inspection and still charged me. I would recommend going else where for vehicle maintenance. Reply: Explain how it mysteriously passed inspection when I brought it to another shop.

There isn't a drop of oil anywhere on my engine or on my garage floor, I still wouldn't take it back to u guys for repair. There is no restriction on the windshield for tint, it just can't be mirrored and can't come down below the as1 line of the windshield. -The tint on a windshield cannot extend more than 5 inches below the top of the windshield or below the AS1 line of the windshield, whichever is longer.

I love the professionalism of the people here, the convenience and of course, the great rates! They are friendly and they care about you, as a customer. *I personally like that they send reminder texts to notify you of scheduled maintenance. I've never had a bad experience here. Got a transmission flush done, took about an hour to a hour and a half from start to finish. Everyone was very polite and professional, and made sure to show me exactly the type of service work and pricing I was getting. Car is running wonderfully, and I would definitely recommend them to anybody for any service work! Great work and even better customer service!

I had a smooth visit. Called and made an appointment for car inspection. Honored my appointment time or maybe a few minutes early. Friendly and helpful lady at the front desk. Clean facility. I would definitely come back for other services.

Call for an appointment, very polite over the phone. Drop my car gave me the price of the service right away. 11/2 hour later they call me the vehicle is ready. Vehicle drive good and so far no issues. Definitely going back if I need anything else done in my car. Service: Wheel alignment

I highly recommend Harrels! Brought in my car for a wheel alignment and was called during the appointment about other issues that were present. Now that they have everything taken care of my car drives way better. The customer service here was 10/10! Thank you to Brandon who followed up with me the next day to make sure it was still driving okay.

Robert Comer did and has always provided excellent service and advice for my auto service needs. After an initial diagnose of my problem with thermostat and heat fan not blowing, I made a appointment for repairs. I drove past TWO OF YOUR HARRELL's stores to get to the Raeford Rd location because of trusted service by Robert in the past.two complete engine replacements.

The first time we took my son's vehicle and on a Saturday morning for an oil change, we went back to pick it up a few hours later and they were closed. We were unaware of the time we needed to be back and thought they were open later on Saturdays. It was an inconvenience because they are closed on Sunday as well. Just a heads up, it's better to go somewhere else on a Friday or Saturday so you don't lose your vehicle for the weekend.

We decided to give them a second chance with our business and made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. A scheduled oil change and tire rotation took about 3 hours. We will not be going back again for service. They were polite though, so there is that.

Went to have front axles replaced on a Subaru. Dealer was busy and I was recovering from surgery. They failed to repair the vehicle correctly, damaged other parts and it had to be sent to the dealer. They refused to do the "right" thing and reimburse me for the damaged parts. Took them to small claims court and won. They then would not pay the settlement and I had to execute a writ. Many months later I have been paid. If what you are being told does not sound right get a second opinion.

I was there to get my NC State vehicle inspection done and it was super quick and painless. In and out within 20 minutes with an appointment. Even helped me find a location that offered motorcycle inspections because they didn't.

Really BAD experience for me. I went in on my way to the doctor for an oil change and NC Inspection so I could get me tag and ended up having to WAIT in the waiting room for 8 hrs for them to perform what I had asked them to do? Ended up with a bill of over $1100.00? Overcharged for several items, like $140.00 for the oil change? Replaced parts that weren't in need of replacing? I'll try hard NOT to use these people again.

I've been a Harrell's customer for the last 11 years. I appreciate the customer service but today, if I had not gone in 10 minutes after my wife, my charge for an oil change and inspection would have been $30.00 more than expected. Your customers are Military and we have a F#KKN wide net. I'm SF and if you you want to keep me, never repeat today. $30 x 10,000 GI's will cost you your bizness.

I have used this service last 7 years and i have receive great friendly service; but my last visit was a little upsetting; I went to check tire pressure which usually takes about 30 min; I waited almost 3 hours to be told I needed 2 tires and an alignment which would cost over $450; I just think it could had been communicated earlier and not 3 hours later; I left very disappointed; also the driver who took me home was reckless by speeding very uncomfortable; very disappointed with the communication this time around

Their receptionist is one of the nicest people I've ever encountered in customer service, I love calling them just because she's so pleasant to talk to! They also do a great job with our cars, been for a few oil changes and an AC repair and will continue to go back. Awesome service at a very reasonable prices, happy we live close to them!

I took my car in for a diagnostic, a day and a half later and $100+, they returned my vehicle with the issue, but with the exhaust manifold heat cover smashed into place, not fitted, hand loose bolts, multiple retention clips for my wire harness ignored and freely floating, and the screw for the battery cover not even half way screwed in. I brought photos to the shop with comparisons to when I fixed it to show the clips work, the heat cover fit snug to the manifold, and the bolts surely go all the way in; all I was given was an apology, and the affirmation that they will "talk to the mechanic". This was the first time I brought a vehicle here, and definitely the last.

Nothing like taking a trip and have something happen with your car. On my trip this week to Fayetteville the AC decided to stop working. Lucky for us a friend had visited Harrell's before for their services and suggested them to us. After a call they said to bring it by the next day after I arrived and they would take a look. The staff were all very friendly and personable and we once again let them know the issue and the need to get back on the road the next day.

The time to take a look, let me know the options and price, get the parts and repair the AC ended up only about 3 hrs. Maybe they prioritized it due to the circumstances we had but not 100% sure. I do know if I were living in that area they would certainly be my go to place for my automotive needs. It has been a while since I felt as much like a friend as a customer at any automotive repair shop or any business for that matter. Thanks Harrell's.

Oil Change vs Oil Drain Nice people but there is a serious problem with quality control. Work is never 100% complete. I picked up a car I had the A/C repaired on to find broken vents and extra screws just laying on the floor and molding missing. Yesterday I gave them another chance and went there for a battery terminal repair, battery check and while in the shop an oil change, all simple jobs.

I was called an informed that my car stalls and asked if I wanted an engine diagnostic. I declined, nothing was wrong with the car when I brought it in except it needed a battery terminal and possibly a battery. I was told the battery tested good and I was all set. When I got there I paid for the repairs prior to inspecting the work. I jumped in the car and IT DOESN'T EVEN START. Terminal that was put on was not the OEM type I expected, the red protective insulator longer fits, it was not tight so I talked to the staff they were friendly enough to offer a jump but my car still will not start.

After much debating they finally replaced the battery and it starts no stalling or anything. I leave the parking lot and my oil light is on. Pulled over checked the oil and there isn't a drop of oil in the engine. The manager tried to make it right but instead of and oil change all I received is an oil drain.

Had no issues so far. Got a call about some break I thought needed replacement and was told they were fine for another 10000 miles. Can't beat an honest mechanic!

I sent an email via their online portal with questions about my Jeep. I received a response the next day from their manager. I was able to drop off after hours with my key in a lock box and had a detailed work service quote in my email by 9:30am the next day. They accepted credit card payment and I was able to pick up my Jeep before the end of the same business day. Excellent customer service, communication, and timely service! I will definitely be back. ABSOLUTELY terrible and dishonest! Mistakenly diagnosed my truck and left parts in the engine causing catastrophic failure. Cost me over $6,000 to have fixed properly elsewhere. Original problem should have only cost $135 to fix. Tried to recover my money but they said they cant prove it was their fault. STAY AWAY! I am sure they will reply with some denial of this but I can prove my claim with over 15 pages of documentation and pictures. Just save yourself and go elsewhere

Tried this place out as a walk in oil change and tire rotation. They're pretty busy but they still had me in and out within an hour. They were courteous and professional, did not try to upsell me, and went over the results of their 27 point inspection before I paid. They did not charge me for the rotation because they only had to rotate The left side. I would highly recommend them in the future.

Fast service. Dropped vehicle off at 8:30am, they did diagnostic and called within an hour to give us a quote. Vehicle was ready for pick up before noon. If we knew ahead of time that military gets 5% off parts, could have save some $ but already did transaction. So make sure you ask for military discount for parts prior to transaction. Otherwise, friendly customer service.

This place is amazing! The owner/manager (I'm not sure) came out to look at my car multiple times because the check engine light kept coming on after a routine oil/filter change. He said all the plugs and tubes seemed fine and then focused on the MAF sensor (must have just been dirty or not connected all the way) and the problem seems to be fixed. But. instead of pulling my car in for an 80-100 diagnostics to tell me the sensor was dirty, he came outside and did it himself. Amazing customer service. So pleased. Will be coming back here and highly recommend for anyone in the area!
