My air conditioning quit this year on one of the hottest Days, wow it was terrible, but took it to Hal's automotive they fix it real good, now it's like a ice box In my Toyota thank you! Service: A/C installation & repair

I has an engine light come on in Nov 2021, and cylinder 3 was the problem via every shop & and at time showed low compression, then at times didn't, this happened for there months & but seemed like 13 shops, . hals auto care figured out it was actually cylinder 4 reading to the diagnostic machine as # 3.and along with the other information from the other shops talking to them i realized it was the heads for sure, i bought brand new heads & had them put on and my truck motor which had been bought from a rebuilt motor company, now runs like a brand new motor.hls was the coolest under fire, and the smartest, and help me make the final right decision on what to do with my truck motor.there price ( hals auto shop) was a reasonable diagnostics fee. and no other charges.top gun shop for me.hal's auto repair.i was there at hals shop about 3-4 weeks ago.thanks!

In May of 2021 my Trucks service provider referred me to Hal's for a problem with my heating/defrosting system. I was told the heater core had to be replaced. The work was completed and I picked my truck up on May 17th. While on a RV trip my truck began acting up again. I returned to Hals and was to the heater core they installed was defective. I was told the system was under the heavy truck 12 month warranty and that there would be no charge for the replacement.

When I picked up the truck last week I was given a work order full of zeros. I was surprised and pleased at the result and cannot remember the last time, if any, that I was given this kind of great service.

The receptionist was most helpful, she explained everything to me. The guys did their part too, changed the oil in a timely manner and checked my 5car wrote out a list what my car needed. They left it up to me what I was going to do-no pressuring. Well, needless to say I have an 8 a.m. appointment there tomorrow!

I brought my 4 year old Jeep in with 58k miles on it. They ran a diagnostic, said I needed plugs & coil(s) with work costing $800+. The next day the engine light came BACK on and had to pay $200 to have it towed when it wouldn't start. Come to find out from the Jeep dealer I never should've needed plus or coils under 100,000 miles, they should've done a compression test in the 1st place, I never should have had to pay them $800+ bc the engine that needs to be repaired is covered under the powertrain warranty. Scam, cheat, steal. So unacceptable on every level.

Needed an oil change and tire rotation. We were able to get in within a few days and was finished within reasonable time. A week late our tire pressure light went on so we called to asked to have them check it out since we couldn't find a nail in any of the tires. They checked it out and filled our tires with air: good as new and NO CHARGE. Honest, reliable, quick service.

Hal's has been taking care of my PT Cruiser for over 10 years. If they hadn't caught some major problems, I would have neer made it to Carson City for the holidays. Although I decided to go to someone with more experience working on Smart Cars, I was very touched that he reminded me to be careful and check Yelp reviews during my search so I can find an honest mechanic. Seems like a good guy.

Very dishonest. Extremely rude should've known right off the bat that he associates with a associates with A chop shop! Japanese motors Inc. Beware!

Took my class B RV to Hal's as recommended by our RV builder from Elkhart, Indiana for AC NOT cooling the van. Hal's did a though Service check of our RV 's AC unit and recommended a better build/ installation of the AC unit (Pro Air) for proper cooling.

Not reliable at all! I made an appointment last Friday for this Friday to get my ac fixed because it's unbearably hot then I got a call today from them saying that they needed to cancel or reschedule my appointment. I called and told them I already took the day off work and have a lot of stuff worked out to get this done and he said there was nothing they can do and basically he was being nice and doing me a favor by calling and telling me ahead of time. From the beginning it was made very clear they did not care if I rescheduled or not.

I have had my Party Bus serviced by this company, that Specialize in A/C Repair. Nick B. and Mark (at the front office) where Amazingly Cordial, & Helpful! The Mechanic Nick C., worked on my busses A/C, for over 6 Hours (in 100+ Heat) and went Above (& Beyond) to fix the Leak, and re-route the hoses, so they were no longer rubbing on the frame. He Is a Very Good Mechanic, that Won't Quit, until his work holds up to this companies High Standards!

He Is a Breath of COOL Air, that is Hard to Find, in this day & age! They All, are Very Busy, and At Least a Week Out, but Mark realized my Desperation, and was able to get me in (1st Priority) as my business Relies on my passengers being Comfortable (during their trip) & I had a Busy Weekend Booked. Mike (Owner) was Incredibly Helpful, and is a Wonderful, & Fare Man to work with!

I was referred to this company from my friends Tim and Randy at radial tire, Mark and Nick were responsive and were great at keeping up to date for the a/c repair. Great experience! Trust worthy company, highly recommended

Extremely fast. I feel they cared and gave me a reasonable price without any fluff. I definitely recommend and will share to my Facebook now. My issue was an air conditioning in my car that they fixed. I had no idea what I was going to pay. Great company.

I brought a car there for pre-inspection before buying the car. The service manager said that they would do thoroughly good job. We even mentioned that if we are pleased with the service, we will bring our other cars there for future repairs. Unfortunately, they did not do what they said they were going to perform. when we brought the car to another person, what they had listed that was ok needed to be replaced. In other words, no inspections were done. Just took the money. Not ever coming back to this place. lost our future busines.

My experience here was great. I was able to get a quote online & it was honored start to finish once I brought my car in. Not only that, I was able to get my particular repair done in a reasonable time(Had old serpentine belts swapped out on my Honda today)& their parts are covered by warranty. The employees I dealt with personally were very patient & understanding which during a pandemic are extra great qualities to have.

You've probably been mailed their coupons which are also honored if you present them for your repair. Have a few other repairs needed for my car & as of now Hal's is where I intend to take my car for them once I have more money.

They were able to get me in right away. The cost was a little more than I expected but I'd rather pay for the quality workmanship than not. I had my car back in 24 hours and it was running perfect.

Recommended by another shop I brought my 1976 Chevy C20 truck in to get my AC working. Russ and Mike are good communicators and provided detailed information on what needed to be done to get done and provided a quote before starting any work. AC work is never cheap especially on A 40+ year old system. Quality work and an honest shop that warrantees their work.

I love this place. Mike and Russ are very professional, responsible and top rate. They do a through job of assessing any issues and the price is right.

I've been taking our cars to Hals for almost 5 years, I'm so happy we have found them. Everyone that works there, is kind and knowledgeable about what they are doing. I've honestly learned so much! As a women, it's nice to have a place like Hal's, they make me feel comfortable, and that means A LOT!

Previously when looking for a "deeper" diagnoses of a noise I have only trusted the dealership. My wife's car had been making a soft clunking sound when turning. The dealership stated they couldn't find anything wrong. We took it to Hal's who found the control arms and bushings needed to be replaced. Their system sent pictures and notes from the mechanic.

They were very informative, to both me and my wife. All the staff were friendly and professional. They were upfront about the repairs need and explained any changes needed. I got a chance to talk to the owner, it is a family business who understands the importance of reputation and quality service. They are one of the few places thst offer warranties beyond 30 days with their work. We felt very confident it was done right.

I have been a customer of Hal's since 2005 and they've never disappointed me with their customer care and their prices are reasonable, I like that they have warranty on their parts they always got my car done on time. So after posting my first experience about being screwed out of $150 for an a/c system diagnosis by Hal's, I took my car to another a/c mechanic who fixed the leak and then evacuated and recharged my a/c system for $30 labor and $37 parts! When I called Hal's back and told Kenny how pissed off I was about the situation, he could only say that the other mechanic is not doing it legally. What do I care? I don't give a ratsa#& if he is. He did exactly what I asked him to do for $67, not $150 with no solution nor satisfaction. Kenny, go lube yourself!
