Hagin's Automotive

I have been going to HAGINS Automotive for several years. I have had a Toyota FJ for16 hrs/149K miles. It's been a great, reliable vehicle and I attribute this to HAGINS. Their personnel are very professional. They explain what work needs to be done and why. They've shown me the old/warn-out parts next to new parts, very informative. They do a good job of inspecting the vehicle to prevent break-downs on the road.

I've had no break-downs, (I follow their maintenance /service recommendations). Their charges for services are reasonable and fair. I trust everyone at HAGINS and I have family that uses HAGGINS also.

This was my first time at Hagins. It was easy to set up an appointment by phone, and Robert was very friendly. He also checked me in. A nice surprise was a free shuttle ride to my work in Martinez. Making an appointment is quick and easy, I was able to get an appointment for the next day. Checkin was easy and I was offered a courtesy shuttle to work. I was kept informed of the work being done. Friendly, EFFICIENT, caring. No one likes to need to have their car go in for an issue. I called earlier this week, made an appointment for my RAV4 and when I arrived, I was greeted by a smile. This was my first time there but Hagins will always be my "go-to" from now on. I did not need it but they even offer a courtesy shuttle. CLASS ACT auto repair.

Easily scheduled appointment online. Left the car in the care of Robert @ 0900. Received the call at 1:30 telling me they may not have it done until the next morning! After jumping through some hoops, Robert and the team we're able to complete the job by 4 p.m. YAY! Car is happy. I'm thrilled that "the noise" is gone. Prices are competitive. Every single time I drive my little red pony (Toyota Matrix) away from Hagin's, she drives so well, feels like she's been to an auto spa. I only dealt with Jeff. He was very helpful and friendly. The job was set for two days after going to the shop which pleased me. The job was completed in the expected amount of time and going to Hagin's for my first time was an excellent experience. I plan to use them when I can in the future. Service: Transmission

Moving my parents from Monterey to Walnuy Creek and was told (by family) to have their vehicle towed here for an overhaul service. When I called this establishment to let them know the vehicle would be delivered, the "owner" became very irritated and was extremely rude with my call. He repeatedly said this "arrangement ' was made with his mechanic, told me this is "HIS" shop and that I would need to make an appointment.

Very rude! When asked if I could have the vehicle stored there until they had an appointment, I was told "No, absolutely not!". WTF!?!? Not a good way to conduct business, especially as a new customer. I'm pretty sure the reason this place is even open is because.of "CUSTOMERS!" It's a hard NO for me and I will continue to tell people about this lovely experience from "The owner" of Hagins automechanic!

Everyone at Hagin's are great! Andy and Jeff are always super friendly and willing to help. I take both of my cars and always have a great experience. They never try to push other things that's not needed like the dealers and they always have my cars done on time.

My husband and I always drive past here and decided to drop in and ask if they could change the oil on our Yamaha R3. The gentlemen behind the counter said that unfortunately they do not work on bikes. He was very friendly and professional although they do not service bikes, the interaction has made us want to bring our other cars here. Also, all of their workers wear masks!

Fast and efficient! And great service as well. They even offered us cold water. Loved it.

This is my second time coming to Hagins and it is always easy and quick service. My car sounds better and I appreciate the recommendations from Jeff. I was so pleased that one of the techs told me as I was leaving that they fixed my car key! The sensory disconnected about 5 years ago and I never fixed it at the dealership because it was way too expensive. Hagin's did it and now I can use the buttons on my key finally!

Called to have my car serviced. They only work on "new cars" so don't waste your time here.

Jeff made the the visit great. He talked me out of over spending. He talked to me at my level of automotive knowledge. I also asked him for a price quote. I felt he really went out of his way to not do work that was unnecessary and cut the cost down.

I just moved to Martinez and needed my car tuned up. They gave me a fair estimate for both repair and repair time. Hagin's was top notch and my car is running great! Locally owned and managed, I highly recommend.

This place is well run and does a great job. Their customer service is superb and the quality of their work outstanding. I've only had great experiences here and there is a reason they are busy - they do great work and have a phenomenal reputation.

I received excellent service on my vehicle that was due for 45,000 mile maintenance. While it is always best to call for an appointment, things happen. Went over a curb and damaged the car's plastic under guard which started dragging on the ground. Far away from my SF mechanic I checked to see who was close that might be able to assist and I was fortunate enough to be near Hagin's Automotive. Andy picked up the phone and told me I could bring my car by and he would help. They had my car up and secured what was left of the under guard in record time at a more than fair price. Since moving away from SF I think I've found my new auto shop!

I called Hagen's to get a quote to service the front brakes of my SUV. I was quoted $550 for turning the rotors and replacing the pads. I let them know that I thought that was rather high and I had gotten a quote from the dealership for $440. Rather than work with me or explain why the price difference, the gentleman on the phone told me "Maybe you should take it to the dealer then." Needless to say, I didn't take my car here. Maybe at some point I will consider it, but for this service I am going elsewhere.

My daily driver needed some $1,300 love. She's a good truck so it's an investment in a prolonged future and nothing that was a surprise at 187k miles. I know a lot about cars and I appreciate an honest shop that respects women. I found the team to be transparent in a detailed assessment of my new to them truck and they were willing to be very communicative as I walked thru my questions as I assessed what could be delayed.

I didn't feel like I was pushed into any random service upgrades. I mentioned it had not had a tuneup in 2-Years, they checked wires etc. and validated no need. I opted for all services except the battery which they gave me a detailed rating on its state related to startup. I let them do the Engine Air filter for convenience (because I could have done that ).

And as with anything Trust but verify.they quoted by the book as confirmed by my out of area car professional. So I will be making this my long term auto maintenance stop! Oh and not to forget they offer a round trip Shuttle door to door which was a big part of trying them out.
