This building was originally used for Stewart Brother's Coffee, but throughout the years the building was used for various different companies. When Greg's Japanese Auto acquired the building in 2002, it needed a major remodel.

I've been bringing my cars to Greg's for around 30 years and have been pleased with their work. That includes my Subaru's, Toyota's, and Hyundai's over the years.

Everyone is really nice and helpful. They also finished inspecting my car days before the original estimation!

Greg's Japanese Auto is true to their word, even with a problem child. My car was towed in and left for dead but they painstakingly nursed it back to health in a professional manner and at a fair price. I'll be back. A special thanks to Karl and the technician that worked on my car. I promise I'll buy a new er one. soon.

I found Greg's Japanese Auto in Lynnwood after a search for a new shop for my 2007 4Runner SE, 4WD. This vehicle at 170,000 miles has traveled the North American Continent from Alaska to Mexico more than once. At a local Toyota dealer they estimated $2,100.00 for replacing both CV axles. Greg's came in at $700.00. They replaced both, warrantied them and without me asking shined up my 4Runner. When you call here you get an experienced mechanic on the phone. Alex knows her business. I recommend them.

Great guys! Good work. Affordable and reliable. Recommended for all my friends and family. Everybody needs a "go to" for their automobile. This is it.

These guys helped me out immensely during what was otherwise a really bad day. They went above and beyond in helping me even though the conclusion was that my car is toast - and, no charge to tell me that! Super honest, they could have taken my money for an engine rebuild, but they are correct that my car isn't really worth the trouble.

Who to believe when it comes to auto repair shops is very difficult. I was one of the many, many people who had their catalytic converter stolen from their vehicle. I have a Honda Element and I have never had to take it in for any kind of repair, so I was not familiar with shops in my area. Greg's is very close to my house, so I called them, and took my vehicle there.

I talked to Trevor, and the first couple of times I talked to him, things were fine. Then it went south. My insurance company, like all insurance companies in this state will not pay for OEM parts. Trevor wrote an estimate with OEM parts and refused to use aftermarket. My insurance company wrote their own estimate and there was about a $1400 difference between the two estimates.

I have to admit my insurance company was not the easiest to deal with as they are located out of state. Trevor got frustrated with my insurance company as he could not convince them why OEM catalytic converter was needed. I called three other shops to get their opinions. One said they would use OEM and the two others said they would definitely use aftermarket, OEM is not needed.

Who am I to believe? My car sat at Greg's for four days with no work because Greg's refused to use aftermarket parts. I talked to Trevor on the phone and tried to explain to him that no insurance company is going to pay for OEM, and I cannot afford to pay $1400 out of pocket for an incident that is covered by insurance, and I may have to take my car elsewhere.

He said "fine, come and get the car the fuck out of here". He said he had already put a couple of parts on. I caved and trusted his opinion and said, go ahead and do the work. He called me back about a half an hour later and said my car was ready. I walked to pick it up, and when I got there Trevor handed me my key and said I was good to go. I asked about payment, and he said no charge, no work was done, and he sent my OEM converter he had ordered back.

I was extremely pissed, as I was prepared to pay $1400 out of pocket to them, and I just wanted my car back. So I asked Trevor is he really refusing my business? He wouldn't even look at me, just walked away. I drove my car down the street to Bucky's Lynnwood Muffler, as this was one of the other shops I called. They fixed my car the same day with aftermarket catalytic converter.

I emailed the estimate to my insurance company, and they approved it in full, and promptly issued payment to me. All I was out of pocket was my deductible. Car runs fine with the aftermarket parts. I am not sure if Trevor was trying to gouge me for more money, or if he truly believed my car would need an OEM converter. I don't believe Trevor should be working the front desk, as his customer service was terrible, he was not flexible at all.

He even told me if he used an aftermarket converter, I would have to sign a waiver removing Greg's from liability should something go wrong. There is no way another shop would require that. I will not be using Greg's again. I will use Bucky's again though.

I've used Greg's several times before and always had a good experience. However, this time was bad enough that I won't go back. My battery died. I was quoted an amount that included replacing the battery, an oil change, and several other minor fluid/belt replacements, etc. I agreed to this. When I picked up the car, all they had done was put in a new battery and changed the oil - and charged me over $350!

I called them later to dispute the charges, and I had the same thing repeated to me like I'm an idiot, mansplained to, was told to stop talking, and no help was offered. I was told that $150 was for "diagnostics" - for a dead battery! I requested a warranty on the new, $200 5-year battery (which they offered no options for, and the car is 20 years old), and was told it applied to their shop.

I bought it, I own it, and I'm never going back, so I guess I don't get a warranty. They should have at least given that to me or offered to send it. I know what it takes to put a battery in - 2 bolts - and an oil change is $35 anywhere. The mega-overcharge and rude customer service has lost them a customer, and gained them a bad review.

I have taken our Nissan to Lynnwood location of Greg's Japanese Auto five times over the past eight years, each being a positive experience. Making an appointment is easy, the staff communicates in a friendly and professional manner, and the work done is thoroughly. I'd visit again and would recommend them.

Greg's Japanese Auto has done an outstanding job maintaining and repairing the Subaru, Toyota and Mazda autos that my wife and I have owned over the last several years. Greg's has done a much better job for us than the auto dealers' service departments, at a lower cost than the dealer's service departments. Paul and Karl at Greg's Bellevue office have been very helpful and a pleasure to work with.

This place does not honor their rewards and their corporate office needs new people. Definitely not professional in any sense. I think they are fake and training needs some work.

Paid some other mechanic to do the valve cover gaskets on a Mitsubishi Montero. Week later took car to Greg's to have them change the alternator, they said the gaskets were leaking again. I asked Alex to please go ahead and fix em being the car was there. A $600 job ended up costing $1100 cause I didn't go to Greg's in the first place.

Now it's fixed and rolling fine. My advice is to go to Greg's in Lynnwood an see Alex and have her give you a quote and get the job done right the first time this will save you money and time. Thanks again Alex and crew for another fine job and if I need service again I will go straight to Greg's. Thanks and have a great year. Phillip

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Greg's. When I bought my last car, I made sure that it was Japanese just so I could keep taking it to them. Their customer service is unparalleled. They always tell me what the best course of action is, even when it means taking my car somewhere else for cheaper. When I had a problem that the dealership couldn't identify, Greg's told me what was going on, told me it was under warranty, and did the research to give me the information I needed to make sure the dealership fixed it for free. I'll never take my car anywhere else.

They slipped me in for repair on my seat belt and taillights when I really needed them to. I was warned that the belt mechanism might need replacing eventually but they got me working in the meantime. Staff was friendly and efficient, checkout was easy and quick, a big plus lately when it seems so many places don't have the staff they need. A+ from me

A different well known shop messed up on my last oil change so bad, the entire oil pan had to be replaced. I was referred to Greg's Japanese Auto, and they took care of just about everything for me. There was a bit of back and forth between them and the shop that messed up, and I really appreciate them doing as much as they did for me. The employees are nice, easy to talk to, and most importantly: they are honest.

They kept in touch with me the entire time, and did not pressure me to do any more work then what I had initially took it in for. I have some pretty bad social anxiety, and have been really stressed out about this whole thing, but they took care of me more then I expected them to. The shop is really nice as well; very clean and has a comfortable waiting area. I highly recommend you try them out for yourself. This is my go-to shop from now on.

I had an excellent experience at Greg's. Paul and Karl were so helpful and fast. I needed a simple repair on my car, and they had me in and out in under an hour. I felt like they were very affordable as well. My husband and I both have Japanese vehicles and we will exclusively use Greg's for all of our work. As an added bonus, their loyalty program helps you save money on future purchases.

Ok let's start off with I really really hate auto shops. They usually up-charge like crazy for the most simple things, so when my AC went out on my car I figured it was gonna cost me a arm and a leg. I called on a Monday and they told me they were booked up until the following week. I was ok with it since it's not hot yet. On Thursday I dropped off my car.

I wish I would remember her name but the blonde woman in the front was amazing. Friendly happy and knowledgeable. That's the kind of individual you want at your front desk. She explained to me the process took my keys and I returned to work. A few hour laters she calls me and explains all they did to my car and that the AC was blowing out cold air again.

When I returned I got my invoice and it was very fairly priced and most importantly the cars AC was blowing cold air. So I'll most definitely be bringing my vehicle here for its future needs.which I hope it's not anytime soon lol.

This is the go-to repair shop for our Acura. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable. They always have done a wonderful job of taking great care of the car. There has been no job too big for them to handle yet.

I really had a great experience with this location. I needed a engine swap done on my car and they were able to get me driving in one week! They were kind and very good at keeping in contact through the whole process. I will absolutely come back to get my other cars fixed. The one thing I wasn't exactly happy about was paying $500 for two motor mounts. Searching online they retail for about $100 each and that's the OEM parts not knock offs. So, besides what i think was an over charge I was very happy with the whole experience.

Staff and courteous and helpful and prices are reasonable. I always had good experience there at Greg's. Unfortunately it is not the closest shop to me so a little inconvenience but I always can wait for my oil change at the Starbucks a few walk away!

Greg's did an engine re-seal and installed a new catalytic converter in my 2009 Subaru Forester. Before, I was leaking oil (because it needed the re-seal) and getting horrible mileage (because of the bad catalytic converter). They did a great job at a fair price and got the work done on time.

Nothing but 5 stars here. Excellent service from Alex and everyone that works on my car. The waiting area is nice for my oil changes and they have WiFi so I can do work on my laptop. I will always recommend my friends and family here!

Pricing is almost similar to the dealership. At least the dealership uses genuine parts. To replace my Alternators, AC compressor, and water pump; total was $3470. When they call you about the work that needs to be done, and the total cost, you're already locked into the diagnostic cost and shop fees. So I would suggest you shop around first before having them look at your car. Alternator replacement: $751.83 AC Compressor replacement: $1475.77 Water pump repayment: $676.28 AC diagnostic: $136.50 Add on tax and $50 shop fee.

I also wasn't offered a courtesy ride, even after spending $3470. I found out about it after walking 1.5 miles to pick up my car and saw their shuttle leaving the lot. So, ask for a ride if you need one. Update: Having using the AC for the summer, it works, but the air isn't as cold as the original Toyota AC.

I wish there were zero stars. This place is the worst. I don't know if they are scam artists or incompetent. I brought my truck in for the check engine light after a tow. $1500 later and the light was still on. Took the truck back 4 times and ended up paying hundreds more-- just to leave with my check engine light still on. Took my truck to Firestone in Mill Creek and got it fixed (O2 sensor) for $164.99. Stay away from Greg's!

Wow, these thieves are worse than than I thought. When they replaced the spark plugs, they acted like they didn't know what the problem was and wanted to charge me 125 buck to run a test. When it was a spark plug wire that you could see with the naked eye, SHISTERS, THEY SHOULD BE BANNED FROM DOING BUSINESS. You can't get any lower than this trash.

Incredibly overpriced! I went in for a possible battery/alternator issue and they gave me a bid of over $800 to fix it, plus over $2K in "recommended" services. Because my car wouldn't start, I felt s little trapped once there, so ended up just getting the battery replaced (which I was charged $200 for). Do not go here! They charge at least 40% more than is reasonable. If I could, I would give them zero stars.

I brought a car in for inspection that I was going to buy from a private party. These guys fit me in to their schedule on spur of the moment and they saved me a lot of money! The car ended up being a wreck and they were honest and upfront about it. I would bring my business to these guys in the future. Very honest and professional! Thank you Rob and Zack!
