A fully functioning brake system is crucial to your safety, the safety of your passengers, and the safety of other drivers on the road. Your vehicle's brake system involves highly engineered parts and precise movements that stop your vehicle by converting kinetic energy into thermal energy. When you press down on the brake pedal, the master cylinder pressurizes a system of hydraulic brake lines leading to each of the vehicle's wheels, where brake pads or shoes press against a disc or drum and create the necessary friction needed to slow the vehicle to a complete stop.

I rarely write reviews of companies for two reasons. 1) For me to leave a positive review, a company would have to do something beyond typical business practices. Something completely unexpected. I know of only one company that values customers that much and they're hugely successful because of it. 2) For me to leave a negative review, a company must have a blatant disregard for their customers. Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for Youngstedts in Maple Grove.

After buying a set of tires from there a few months ago, I took my truck in yesterday for a routine rotation. I had an appointment that shouldn't have taken more than 20 minutes. It took 87. I was told it was because they were extremely busy. Apparently they value walk in business (more than likely new customers) over that of current customers. Then, when I picked up my keys and paperwork, I was told the serpentine belt, and A/C belt, were in bad shape and needed to be replaced at cost of $201.22.

The salesman obviously thought I was ignorant and would pay an exorbitant charge to replace a couple of fan belts. Ironically, I knew the serpentine belt wasn't bad as it was just replaced a year ago when I had the water pump replaced. I still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt by checking out the condition of the A/C belt myself when I got home.

I don't know how they could have checked it as the V portion of the belt is completely hidden by shrouding and other components from both above and below. I could see the outside of the belt where it wraps around the A/C pulley, and it looks fine without any imperfections. Observations: 1) Once they receive your money, you're put at the bottom of their priority list. 2) They're more interested in gaining new customers than maintaining a good relationship with the ones they have.

Apparently they're not concerned about you becoming a repeat customer. Strange. 3) They show a blatant disregard for customers by trying to charge exorbitant prices for goods & services that aren't needed. I regret having purchased the tires from them, not just because of what happened yesterday, but also at the time of purchase. When paying for the tires, I was asked if I wanted the front-end alignment checked.

I view of the question was the salesman is just trying to get more money out of me, not realizing he was trying to tell me something. The previous set of tires went way beyond what they were rated for mileage wise, and the truck was handling fine so there wasn't any evidence that something was wrong with the alignment. I said no, again not making the connection that my decision could be more costly in the future by not paying for an alignment now.

It wasn't until I got home and started reviewing the paperwork that I discovered the alignment check would have been free, and, they had documented that I had declined it. So why didn't he tell me it was free? Why did they deliberately make note that the alignment wasn't checked? Why was the same note on the new receipt that I received yesterday?

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the reason, but I can't say it's 100% accurate until it actually happens so I'm not posting it here until it does. Hopefully I won't be updating this review, and hopefully now you have a better insight as to how this company operates. Like everybody else, I don't like being taken for a sucker.

So regardless of the long-term results, Youngstedts won't be getting any more money out me even if I have to go somewhere else and pay more. I continue to be baffled by companies that concentrate their efforts on making a buck in the short term rather than building a repeat customer base that will be there through tough economic times, which will help to ensure its' continued growth and long term survival.

Friendly, quick, priced right. I've bought two sets of tires there, would buy more when the time comes. Oil changes are quick and fair priced as well.

I have been going to Youngstedts since 1979. They are always friendly and always treated me well. Any problem I have had they properly diagnosed it and repaired it. If there was ever a problem they took care of it no question asked. I also buy all my tire from Youngstedts and have never had a problem. Youngstedts is a great place to go and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

This is the rudest company I have dealt with in my life. Their car washes are defective and routinely damage cars. The management does not own up to the issue and deflects it constantly. Customers beware!

Trying to soak up the last waning days of warm weather, I have put some miles on my vehicle, along with an extra coat of road dirt. Went by Youngstedts to have my vehicle cleaned. I went through the drive through and paid 25.00 for the platinum service. What a complete waste of money. Even though they provide hand drying service at the very end, my windows and side mirrors were blurry mess. Bug spots still stuck on windshield.

The young man who was supposed to hand towel dry the side mirrors completely ignored me, while looking at his phone. Could have went through local gas station and paid half the price and received much better service. Do yourself a favor - treat yourself to your favorite beverage with the money you spend by not going to this overpriced so called car cleaner.

I have been to Youngstedts for 3 sevices at 3 of their locations. Recently they squeezed me in on short notice when my daughters tire picked up a nail and had her baby with her. Every experience I had I was treated more than fairly for price, very professionally, and courteously. I highly recommend Youngstedts Service: Tires

I've been loyal to Youngstedts (Eau Claire) for years, but I've since moved to the cities area. Called this location and got a same day appointment for my oil change! They got me in and out quickly and were very friendly! Clean office area with a really nice waiting room with a full coffee bar and plenty of magazines. I will be coming to this location again!

The Youngstedts team are the only mechanics I've used in over 20 years. They just did an oil change, tire rotation, and transmission fluid flush in a friendly, efficient manner. They also alerted me that while still good right now, brakes would need attention in the near future. It's a blessing to have not only skilled work and honest estimates, but pointers so I can plan ahead!

You can always rely on them to inspect the vehicle, find the problem, and offer sensible choices and costs before any work is done. They are honest, experienced, and do an amazing job on everything from maintenance to the most technical and digital repairs. I mostly book appointments, but they have always been there when I needed them most. You can trust Joe, Scott, and their team to take good care of your vehicle!

Took my car in as it was rumbling on start up. They said I would need new spark plugs, so I went through with it. My car died in a parking lot 2 days later (would have been 1, but I didn't drive it in between the 2). They then replaced the coils connecting to the spark plugs and my car now runs, but has the original rumbling issue on start up with no change. Took this into a different shop to find out the issue, and they quoted a much smaller amount for the work done and have done a great job explaining things out about how and why they are doing it.

If you would like to pay 800 to have your car serviced without any real explanation of why it needs the work and then returned in its original state, I highly recommend this place.

Great experience. All the staff were friendly, they set clear expectations and met them. I asked them to make any service recommendations to see if there is anything else I need repaired/maintenance and walked me through what they found. I took my prius in for an oil change, on the drive home the red triangle of death came on along with the check engine light about a mile and a half from the shop. I had my dad look at it and they filled it too full. When we called to let them know for future customers that Prius's are very particular about the amount of oil they take for future reference, they denied fault and didn't even offer to drain the oil themselves or offer a future discount. Definitely will not be going back.

This shop has excellent customer service! Every time I have called and had a need, even when it was last minute, they have accommodated me and provided help. I appreciate the courtesy rides to and from work on days that the work takes a long time. They do a great job explaining what needs to be done and why. I never feel that I am getting taken advantage of. Thank you!

Everyone I have ever talked with and interacted with here has been amazing! They are all so nice, and so accommodating. The best part is they are not pushy. My dad is really good with cars and they never pressure me to have something fixed here since they know I can have him fix a lot of things on his own if they know what needs attention. They always remember me too which gives this place a such a nice friendly atmosphere. Great coupons for oil change service! Their punch card is a great deal too. Nice lobby area to sit and wait for your car with plenty of reading material and free WiFi.

Horrible Customer! They don't seem to care about the customer. I asked them to take off a tire with a nail in it and fix that later and just throw the full size spare on given I didn't have an appointment. This was Saturday morning and the only thing they cared about was getting me off the phone! They were booked and gave me no solution or resolution and were about as rude as a person can be with someone.

They were annoyed I had called twice and basically said tough. Sh-- they were busy. I found a Good year miles away from Maple Grove were I live and will continue to drive out of my to avoid this place! I should have read the reviews before calling them!

This place does great work but they are really expensive. I brought my car in and said I needed a new starter. After a $128 examination, they called to tell me I needed a new starter. Right. When I looked up the part number of the starter they charged $208 for, I found it in numerous places for less than $40. 500% mark up.

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. WASTE OF TIME AND YOUR MONEY. I needed a left front window regulator for a Cadillac. I have had this fixed previously for about $200.00. The price for the part at NAPA is $91.49. While making my appointment 4 days ahead of time with "Ryan" I specifically told them the part that I needed. Youngstedts indeed found that a new window regulator is needed which is what I told them 4 days prior.

They would not fix it as they never ordered the part and couldn't get it that day (it was 5pm). They didn't want to spend the $5 to have the part shipped if they didn't need it was the explanation. They then told me to leave it there with them and quoted me $469.00 for a $91.49 part! They wanted me to leave the car there overnight, wasted 2 hrs of my time then wouldn't give me the keys until I paid them $65 labor for taking apart my door when they never had the parts to fix in the first place.

They even brought out a big dirty guy to stand next to "Ryan" trying to intimidate me. Really unprofessional. My fault for not getting a written quote from them when I made my appointment. I am 45 years old and should know better but It was close to home and needed it fixed asap. Lesson learned!

Poor communication. Slow service. High fees/prices. 2 hours after dropping my car for an alignment and oil change, I called to check on my car. I was told they just were getting around to it. Unable to leave my car for another 2 hours, they rushed the oil change and I left without an alignment. When I expressed my discontentment, they said when I came back they would waive the $30 alignment check fee. Oh gee, thanks. Most places don't charge or waive the fee if you are getting service done. I will not be back.
