They do an excellent job of keeping you informed as they perform the work. I got reports with photos showing my brake and battery problems and a discussion of what my options were. Prices are competitive.

New to Seattle and was hoping to find a good service I can use for future. Saw them very close and has some good rating. However, I got the same experience as Russ who commented 8 months ago. They quote $700+tax for thermostat replacement, where the new part can be bought at around $100 and it won't take more than 1 hour labor. I refused the repair the moment I got the quote.

They must have realized that I am not the one knows nothing and won't be repairing here, and charged me $312 for diagnosis, also warned me not to bring to dealers for repair -- in fact, they charge way more than dealer already. Glad I stopped my loss by only spending $312 for no heat inspection! (sarcasm) And the $312 diagnosis doesn't come with error code, which I believe is next level specialists that we ordinary people won't understand.

My Mercedes ML350 is getting on in years and needed help. Their price to eval was a straight $80.00 less than the Bellevue Mercedes dealer. The were fast and efficient and even with parts shortages were able to get the part and install in a day. I felt like I was back 40 years ago when I took my car into the local service shop and they went above a beyond to fix everything. As I was leaving they mentioned that my Tabs were expired. Lol oops.

Check engine came on in my 2011 Audi A3 TDI. GCS were able to diagnose all issues on the scheduled day, informed which repairs were covered by extended diesel warranty, and repaired everything which wasn't quickly and professionally. I'm now jumping through hoops to get the warranty work done by Audi (surprise, surprise) but was impressed by German Car Specialist, would return.

They took the time to see what needed to be done. They gave me a quote close to $3000 but once the work was done the cost was just under $2000. Adam thank you

Brought in a BMW with no heat and the estimate was around $800-$1k. i declined the work after they did a diagnosis because of the cost to fix it and the time the car has to be at the shop because it was approaching the weekend. meaning i would get the car back Monday or Tuesday which i can't do. they did a great job at diagnosing the problem (heater control valve)but what i didn't understand was the bill if i had them fix it. i'm no mechanic myself but after some reading and no experience it took me 30 mins after work to replace it and the part cost less than $200. the estimate as i recall was for the part which wasn't to much of a difference. labor was to me not justifiable. let's say the total cost based on the estimate was 1k and the part is $200 give or take. what's the $800 remainder for? labor and test drive was left. remember with no experience it took me 30 mins to replace the valve and the shop was charging a 2 hrs worth of labor and a test drive.that's a big loss of money and time on the customer end.i notice this with the industry. had my tires changed with les schwab they charged 1 hr labor i watched the guy doing my car he spent half the time talking to his buddy's and eating snacks while i'm paying for the hr labor and the time i have to seat there waiting for him to chat and eat. the heated works like a champ i gotta keep it on low settings. recommend having someone that have some knowledge about cars with you or have a second shop take a look before you decide to spend your money.

Just had a great experience with them! Needed a service and had been having a concerning noise coming from the front end of our GL450. The team quickly diagnosed the issue and repaired it along with the service for less than the local dealers charge for a basic service. Will happily be using them again!

Expert, affordable service with honesty and integrity. Highly recommended. I trust German Car Specialists with my Porsche Macan, especially over the other auto shops on the east side. They are friendly and accommodating, too.

Adam is great and so trustworthy, and honestly as woman who typically has deal with car issues alone it's refreshing to feel like he wont take advantage of me. His prices are reasonable and his work is always done to satisfaction. He has worked on my BMW 4 series 3 times in 1.5 years and I wont take it any place else!

I was having issues with my B6 A4 Avant. I couldn't ask for someone more delightful than Tori to accommodate my car being towed to the shop and once there the open communication with Adam and his honesty with the situation with my Audi setting me up for what I really needed and what I could use down the line was greatly appreciated. I highly recommended any Euro investment you have to their hands. You'll be taken care of.

I took in my 2009 Mercedes SLK 55 this week and they did a great job performing a full service and fixing an issue with the convertible roof. Adam reached out everyday with updates about the car and was extremely clear with pricing and time estimates. Excellent quality, communication, and customer service. Will be back! but not too soon :

Adam is one of the most honest mechanics I've had the pleasure of meeting. I took my Q7 in because something was blocking fuel fill inlet preventing the gas pump from refueling the tank. Adam took a look and saw a disfigured flap that was blocking the inlet. He pulled it out, didn't charge me anything, and didn't try to up sell anything.

When I asked if he'd recommend me changing out the entire inlet, Adam said it costs too much and I should be fine without the tiny flap. He didn't try to make a quick buck even though I was definitely open to handing him my wallet for his trouble;- As my Q7 ages and less is covered by warranty, Adam will be my go-to for any maintenance going forward.

What a great experience! I went there for a second diagnosis because the place I went in Everett said my liptons in my 550i BMW(2010) were shot and I had to replace my engine. Adam found nothing but some small oil leaks but was not uncommon for this kind of engine. He recommended some other work that needs to be done in the far future. He gave me the cost so I know what to expect when I have to get serviced in about 6 months. I appreciate this kind of honestly plus Adam is nice, and professional. Tori is great too!

Professional service, clean facility, EXPERIENCED technicians. Own two brands that GCS services and that is the ONLY shop I trust in the state of Washington. Pricing is fabulous, however you get twice the length of warranty with this facility on all work in comparison with the dealer. Thanks GCS, you are truly #1!

This place is awesome. Best shop around in my opinion and I've done some searching. I recommend anyone with a European car to just take it here for a quote before committing to another shop.

Excellent experience from the appointment through the diagnostics and completion of the job. Returned the car fully washed vacuumed and the wife thought there was some waxing on the car. While car maintenance has stress to it typically from uncertain costs, Adam and his team made our experience wonderful. I typically have new cars with dealer maintenance and I assure you that Adam and his team take the customer care to the same level. Every bit of this review is earned.

Great job on my 50000 mile service on my 2014 Mercedes! German car specialists is the best, great service, reasonable prices, friendly staff. A new battery and my car starts up in a flash, didn't realize it was slow. Thanks Reggie! Mar car was pretty clean when I brought it in. But now it sparkles it is so clean!

This is my first time ever using German Car Specialists and let me tell you, they have a customer for life. The attention they give to the customer, the call from Adam to go over what they did to your car and even to the loaner. all are top-notch. They won't try to get you to sign up for services that isn't really necessary which is what I have been noticing lately with car dealerships. Honest, friendly and customer oriented. Highly recommend them!

A great experience! Adam McKay most definitely owns the ownership of this company. He was on the phone with me a few times about my car and I never felt like I was getting something I didn't want. (I have felt "sold" a few times at other repair shops.) Adam's explanations were clear and the repairs were timely. When Adam told me that he drove my car home from work just to test it out, I knew that my car was in good hands. And, they washed my car. I mean really washed it. like it was detailed. I will be using German Car Specialists for my Mercedes.

I recently purchased an E55 AMG that had a large number of deferred maintenance items. Erik spent the time to explain every item in detail to help me prioritize which ones to address. He was very accommodating of my schedule, and when I came after hours to pick up my car it had been very well cleaned. Great work, great prices, great service. Real professionals.

Great fast service! Mercedes wanted $350 to turn our count down sign off. We came here and they did it for less then half of that! We'd already fixed the problem ourselves but just needed the lite on the dash Turned off. So happy we didn't have to pay $350 for it!

If you want you car fixed by a group of great mechanics and know that is done right "German Car Specialists" is the place. My experience with them has been outstanding and will bring me back for any work on my car. The one thing that impressed me the most was the care and protection they gave my car as they were working on it. Most places you can see that someone has been rubbing on your fenders as they work on your car but not theses guys, and the care they give as they are moving you car in and out of the shop, very impressed.

The owner/manager guy has so much knowledge in his head about cars he's fun to talk to and can answer any questions you may have about your car. Worth giving them a try.

German Auto did a fantastic job on a PPI for a BMW M3 I was interested in buying. Given I'm located in NJ and the vehicle for sale was in Washington State, I was relying entirely on their assessment of the vehicle before going through with the transaction. German Auto provided a FULL vehicle inspection and discovered a number of issues that the seller did not disclose to me.

They were extremely courteous and patient with my questions, spent a lot of time on the phone and provided a very useful written report along with pictures and engine diagnostics as part of the service. I'd strongly recommend German Auto to anyone in the Bellevue area for this service.

Very accommodating! I've been going here for a little over 2 years and never have they disappointed me. one service, I had to wait for few hours for them to finish. I was sitting on their couch doing school work on my computer, and they were so concerned about me not feeling comfortable that they had made me a make-shift office table for me to use.

So that I don't have to crouch and look down for a long period of time. And that's very IMPRESSIVE! to go beyond their customer service. Other than that, Very quick service. They'll let you what the possible price is before service so they dont leave you wondering. Honest of the time frame of needed for the car.

German Car Specialists provided excellent service! I brought my BMW 540i in when the clutch started slipping and gear changes became clunky. I take very good care of my car and take pride in knowing it is in good condition and that everything has been fixed the right way. When I picked my car up, immediately I could tell the clutch pedal felt much different.

I have driven this car for over a year now and it has absolutely never been smoother. It is evident to me that repairs here are done with attention to detail and professional craftsmanship. While my car was being fixed, the technician doing the work noticed a small leak in one of my power steering lines as well as in the radiator. I was advised of this and decided to have them fixed as well.

Even something simple and easy like this could have turned much more serious, causing expensive damage if left unattended. I would definitely recommend German Car Specialists to anyone who wants there car fixed and wants it done right. GCS can always expect my business in the future.
