Highly recommend Dobson Stuttgart for anybody that owns a Porsche. I pulled my car from the dealership after no work being done after 3 days and I figured I would show up here to see if they could get it in.(thankfully somebody had just cancelled their appt when I pulled up) I was quoted around 6k from Porsche for an exhaust repair and they had me in and out in one hour with the problem resolved for free while I was getting an oil change. Thanks Dominic and staff!

An amazing facility with top notch techs, a sweet sales showroom and premium car storage. If you have a Porsche and live in Seattle this should be your shop.

The lead tech is excellent, very thorough and knowledgeable. My only concern is there is only one, so if he is not available you probably are not going to get serviced.

Great team and they know Porsche! I own and operate my own automotive service but I always send my Porsche work to the experts at Gerber. Service: Engine repair

Recently purchased my first 911 (997.2) in Feb'21 and wanted to find a reputable specialist shop, in the Seattle area, that I could trust and use for many years to come. My first experience was to install an aftermarket exhaust, and the team ensured that all my needs were met in a very prompt timeframe. I will be trusting Gerber Motorsport to fulfill all my future Porsche servicing needs!

Got my panamera 40k serviced through these guys. They did a great job within a reasonable price. Genuine manager, will be visiting them often now.

Been using Gerber since 2009 for my Cayman mechanical work, oil changes, basic maintenance, etc. Always meticulous in figuring out what needs to be done (and what doesn't!) and then doing the job quickly and for a reasonable price. Change in management a couple of years ago (from Mr. Goodman to Dominic and Patrick Dobson) has been quite seamless with same high quality of service. Magnolia location is a bit out off the beaten path, but the workmanship and service are worth the trip.

Gerber was strongly recommended to me by a friend and they exceeded my lofty expectations. My Audi is 11 years old and I just needed to have the Check Engine light investigated. Despite my car's low, low value compared to the beautiful new Porsches in the garage, Jay treated me no differently than I'm sure he treats all of his customers who bring far more exciting vehicles in for work. Jay was beyond fair with me and was a huge help.all while remaining very courteous.

Had several fairly small repairs on a used vehicle. All were done efficiently for totally reasonable costs. No upsell and good advice about what was important toasters and what was minor. Would do all services that don't require the dealership here. Jay is a solid manager.

I called for a second opinion when a dealership was pushing me on some preventive maintenance. Jay the service manager was incredibly knowledgeable about my 911 Turbo and gave me some great advice despite not even giving them any of my business at the time. Gerber will definitely be getting my business moving forward.

Gerber is the only shop I allow to touch my 911 turbo. Jay the service manager is incredibly knowledgeable and awesome to work with, and Gerber rightfully has a reputation as the premier Seattle Porsche shop that won't blatantly rob you like the dealership.

I guess the 5 star ratings are for people that actually can get service here. My husband wanted to book an appointment for his Porsche to get some service done and to also talk about future work on his car. But, when he called the office the voice messaging system said they were with other customers and to leave a message or sms with his number. He left his number for an sms call back and still didn't hear back. as a last resort he went onto their website and filled out a form and still nothing. Obviously, new potential customers are not important. I also wanted to make this my "go to place" for my Porsche but I think it's best I look elsewhere too.

Amazing service, James was super friendly, and wanted to help me get as much stuff fixed as cheap as possible, he's not that rip-off kinda mechanic, I had a problem with my left turn mirror signal, the dealership asked for a ridiculous amount of money, they don't even try to fix it, but instead replacing the whole mirror, James offered to fix it for me for a fraction of that price.

If you're looking for a mechanic that wants to really fix things, James is your man. He also replaced a light bulb for my car in a minute. It has been a while since I left a car repair shop with this good impression.

Super solid porsche service for seattle area porschephiles. Seems like all the high rep shops are in bellevue, but Seattle needs more p-car indy shops like Gerber. If you are out of warranty and still using stealerships for porsche service, stop wasting your money and use this place! I've used Gerber very recently for my air cooled turbo and my 991 with complete satisfaction.

Run by dobson motorsport nowadays. They are no worse in prices than comparable top tier porsche indys, and like those others no frills. I will continue to use them for repairs and maintenance.

One experience only, but had a large proactive service performed (over $2k) on new to me 911 turbo (nothing was wrong with the car - it ran great and had just had a PPI from another Porsche shop out of state). Communication was good and everyone seems honest. Car was ready after 2 days and after I picked it up it up seemed fine but was in traffic whole way home so no chance to open it up. Drove the next day and there was a very pronounced hesitation on WOT when it hit the turbos. Called them up, brought it back (taking about 3 hours out of my work day) and James found some fault codes that seemed to contradict other data, and looked (very quickly) at the engine, then made an appointment to take it in and do more work on it 4 days later.

I have worked on many cars but didn't touch this since I didn't want to screw around with an unfamiliar car. Since I had the weekend, I researched boost issues (which it clearly was) and decided to poke around for loose pipes. Didn't take a minute - the clip that holds one end of the MAF to Y pipe connection had not been tightened by the shop after changing the drive belt (this could not have happened any other way BTW, unless they left it loose and it backed out, but jubilee clips don't tend to do this) and boost pressure was escaping from the pipe - two minute job to tighten and everything was back to normal.

The response after telling them what I found wasn't "Damn we're sorry - we have checklists in place so that doesn't happen but we'll talk to the mechanic and make sure he is aware", it was more of a "sorry about your car, glad you fixed it", which didn't really acknowledge the fact that now I am wondering what else didn't get done properly. Also, if this had been a brake job and the last step was forgotten then the result could have been more than just a frustrating loss of power. Anyway, one experience, but that's all I have to go on, and I'll be looking for another shop now (closer to my house, since I went out of my way to use this place based on the great reviews.) or I'll be doing the work myself.

Another perfect review for gerber! i went to this place with my brand-new-used porsche a day after purchase, mostly because the other yelp reviews were so positive. james was completely wonderful. he even took the time to help me figure out some of the buttons, as this is my first porsche. :) they did a full inspection, found a few things to fix (two of which were covered by the dealership), & even gave me all the change they found under the seats, haha. honest employees, quality work, convenient location - hopefully i'll only have to see james for regular maintenance and nothing more, but i'm happy to know a great shop to take care of my new pretty. :)

Brought a neglected 944 with an unknown service history to Gerber and got full services and an inspection completed on the car, and the bill came in under the quoted price for all other workshops I had asked AND under the quoted price we had received from Gerber! Needless to say, I was very pleased and am enjoying the car. The staff are friendly and happy to talk about the cars they are passionate about, Porsches!

I recently moved up here from Florida, and have now found my "go to" Porsche shop! The ignition lock went bad on my 03 Turbo, key wouldn't release from ignition. I called the shop I had been going to, as well as Porsche Bellvue, they both quoted me the same $1000.00 plus tax quote. This I thought was outrageous, after looking up the actual cost of the parts online, I was going to DIY it as I thought it would be within my skill level. Anyway, I saw the reviews for Gerber and I gave them a call. James told me to bring the car by and they'd take a look, his quote was half of what I'd been told. James said they had just done this repair a few days ago and the part was on order as it's a common issue and they keep them in stock.

I went by for them to look at it, and low and behold while I was there the part arrived. Two hours later all done! Price was actually a few dollars less than quoted, that's a welcome surprise! = Happy customer. I highly recommend Gerber for all your Porsche needs.

These guys just saved me over 10K by fixing engine on my boxster s. Symptoms were: lots of smoke from exhaust, metallic noise in the engine. Previous shop said the engine has to be replaced. James & co tracked it down to aos and failing water pump. Great communication throughout the entire process, fair pricing, very knowledgeable crew. I've owned different cars and been to many shops. This shop is the best.

Friendly, transparent, knowledgable. Everything you'd expect from a small shop. Granted the price isn't the best, but it's still better than going to a dealership, and some of the east side shops. Also they got some track car knowledge and they are aware of some of the common Porsche problems. I'd recommend it to any Porsche owner in the region.

I've been bringing my 944 Turbo to Gerber since 2005 and I'm always impressed with their level of service and the quality of their work. It's not always easy troubleshooting things on a high-mileage 20+ year-old car but these guys always get it right. The shop atmosphere isn't quite the same since Mark Perkins, the old service manager, left, but the quality of the work is still exceptional.

The new service manager is knowledgeable and friendly, but I miss Mark's enthusiasm for whatever new car was in the Goodman Racing warehouse attached to the shop and the resulting brief walk-through to show off the acquisition. It's not often one gets the chance to see a 1970s Ferrari 512M (the LeMans racer) in pieces mid-restoration or the chance to have an up-close look at Alain Proust's McLaren M29 from his rookie year. Still, this is definitely a shop full of true gearheads and I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you need a Porsche mechanic and you need the work done right the first time, this is the place to go.

Returned here after a 7 year absence due to my dislike for the former service manager, I am pleased to say the new guy James is friendly, personable and on top of his game when dealing with customers and and Porsches. It is also good to see that the staff techicians are all still there. I do still think their prices are a little high, but they do good work and you can be confident that your repair and service will be done correctly.

These guys saved my bacon, fixed my car after getting towed all the way from Tacoma. Great communication from James all the way through the process. Hustled to get it fixed by the end of my conference here in Seattle so I could drive back to Portland. James even stayed late to meet me, after hours. A+ customer service, guys, thank you!

What? A German car with mechanical & electrical problems? Unimaginable you say, but it's true. My wagon was hit with multiple malfunctions so it was time to bring her in for repairs. I needed a service shop that would do more than a cursory evaluation and slapdash work because hey, I'm neurotic like that. I walked into Gerber Motorsports and was immediately greeted by the service manager, a totally cool guy who could not have been more helpful.

We went over the problems and any additional work I felt was necessary. Expecting it would be a while before the next available appointment, I was shocked when he told me to bring it in that day. They contacted me later on to explain the issues and repairs to be performed. Damn these guys are good. I am impressed by their attention to detail. It's reassuring to know my wagon is being repaired by highly skilled and hardworking mechanics. The folks at Gerber took amazing care of my girl. Love it. This is my shop now.

I'm pretty sure Mark cares about my Porsche more than I do. These guys are thorough and really know their stuff. We were referred here by other Porsche owners prior to buying ours and wouldn't think of taking it anywhere else for service, large or small. If you didn't know, when a dealership sells a new Porsche they are supposed to stamp the owners manual. Well, ours wasn't stamped.

I wouldn't have known about any of this is Mark hadn't relayed the story of tracking down the Florida dealer who originally sold our car and informing him of their breech of protocol. When the fascia of the cup holder came off and my wife couldn't open it up to put her coffee there Mark told her "Good. Drink your coffee at home or your office.

Not in the car." He went on to explain the cost to repair the center consul from spilling liquids into it. I secretly cheered that he had the balls to say this, when all I could do was think it. In all seriousness, this is THE place to take your Euro sports car for service or race prep. They're extremely trustworthy, knowledgable, dependable and honest and I can't think of anything more important when it come to a mechanic.

Updated review: James the service advisor is fantastic, the shop still exceeds my expectations every time I have a service. Great people, fair prices, and the team does everything they can to have a great outcome. I really appreciate the service and advice. *** Gerber is a great shop. Mark is very helpful with all service questions and the team knows their cars.

There prices are fair and they care about their customer and their image. If your lucky when you go to the shop you may get to catch a glimpse of some of the Goodman vehicles. Last time I was there they were firing up the 289 Shelby, what a sound!

I have been taking my Porsche to Gerber Motorsport for a little over two years now. I try to perform most of my own maintenance, but when a task is a little too complicated for me, Mark and the crew are always ready and willing to get the job done right. Furthermore, I cannot say enough about the impeccable customer service at Gerber. It is inevitable that some issues will arise when you are dealing with a high-mileage, 25 year-old sports car like mine. Gerber has always gone above and beyond my expectations to ensure that my car runs smoothly and safely.
