Gene's RV and A/C Repair is a mobile repair firm - THAT'S RIGHT! But, there are several jobs that just need to be done at a shop plus some clients prefer to bring their RV in, so we currently have recently opened a service facility here in the middle of Mesa, AZ. Gene's RV has offered superb service to the valley for over twenty five years.

I have a tiffin allegro Bus 43 feet. Had a honey do list of issues with AC T-Stats, water pump, toilet leak, water filters replaced, shade motor replacement and some other little things. They clearly struggle to manage their business with scheduling alone then the workmanship is a disaster. They created leaks and flooded my coach by not properly installing a fitting on a water filter. Drained the water system and thru the leaks burned up my water pump. Wired the new shade motor and didn't program to operate with the control panel, left the controller hanging out of the valance.

When I called to explain the concerns they blamed me for the issues. They have zero ethics and zero entegrity. Once I finally got back in, they recounted the shade motor controller and belittled me about their inability to properly install the water filters. 3 days ago I pull the coach put of storage to go on a trip. Took to cummins for oil change and repair the oil leak cause by Gene's RV incompetence, I also found the same window shade laying on the dinette, while in storage the shade that they replaced the controller and motor had fallen out while sitting in a garage.

I called them yo get back in and fix their issue "I'll call you back" says the lady at the front desk. No return call for 2 days. Finally get a call from Gene "the owner" it's clear why the entire team is incompetent. He didn't know why he was calling me, said he was told to call me. When I explained the shade they just replaced had fallen out his response was well theists been a long time.

I said yes about 20 miles ago. "While I don't make the schedule " he says, I said I'll be in the driveway at 7 AM to get the shade installed tomorrow, will take 5 minutes for a RV repair person. He says "well I can't help you" you put in in and it fell out what do you mean you can't help? His response "I'm busy" My credit card will handle the issues from here.

There is zero chance I'll pay for incompetence and zero ownership on their gross failures. The place is in disarray and zero ownership. I wouldn't trust them to work on my grandkids red wagon.

Our furnace kept acting out and popping. Had another service out twice. Genes service came and traced the problem and fixed it! Very happy with all the workers at this facility

I took my Class A RV into Gene's RV for Solar, AC service as well as a new awning install. I found that the work quality was excellent and done for a fair price. I made an appointment and everything was done in a reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend their RV service. The crew was great in keeping me informed of their progress and Mike their tech is very knowledgeable and does clean quality work. In AZ they are my go to service center.

When another repair place came, looked, and left with promise to be in touch on repair. Gene's RV came, fixed my AC within an hour! Gene himself was my repairman and was delightful to work with. They honored my warranty as well.

We feel so lucky to have found this company. The appointment was confirmed ahead and Brad is professional, efficient and fast! He swapped out our failing AC for a comparable model that we purchased online and we are once again cool and comfortable. We highly recommend this company. Great experience from 1st contact to install and cleanup.

We hired Genes RV to come and install a micro air for our RV. Apparently he was not familiar with it and he had to look at the manual or the instructions. He was a little upset that we didn't order the kit that belonged with it which is a bunch of wires and clamps. We assume that he would have all that since his truck is supposed to be equipped to work on air conditioners.

He was polite But I don't think he knew how to install it. We tried calling him back to see if he can make some adjustments we'd be willing to pay him but he won't even return our calls. To me that's not very professional

Ok, final update. I had them come out because one of the MaxAir fans didn't turn on, it was simply a switch on the wall I didn't know controlled that fan- omg- my bad. They were on time, solved the issue, then Gene went thru a few other things on the RV to help me, including washing out the air conditioning unit on top. He went above and beyond, and really cared. I can highly recommend this company - will use them again for sure

I am so disappointed to write this review and I have voiced these concerns with the business as well. We had a wonderful first experience with this company as they fixed our RV basement unit AC. Because of this first experience we wanted them to help us with more work. The original AC tech said that he took pictures of our jacks both times he was out here and that he would relay the message onto the jack tech and the booking team.

The following events then occurred: 1. We never heard from the booking team - so we followed up. They said they would get with the AC tech to get the pictures and then make sure they had all of the parts to be able to repair our RV without making multiple trips. They then scheduled our on site repair. 2. We received a text message confirming that the tech would be coming out the next day.

When I replied to confirm they had all of the parts, they come back to me like they had no idea what I was talking about. They had it scheduled for the tech to just come out and look at the problem. I told them the first tech already looked at the problem, took pictures, and relayed the message onto the team. She said there were no pictures taken.?

I asked if they were going to waive the multiple service fees. They said no. 3. The day of the repair - I had a booking person call me and confirm for that night. No one showed up that night. I texted to see what was going on. nothing. 4. I called in to see what happened 2 days later and they let me know that the tech could not do the repair in the field and so he decided not to come. Huh?

I had been told over and over again that they could do my repair in the field and now you just don't show up? They told me they called and left 2 VMs with me which were never received (when all other calls had been prior to this mishap). I have told my concern to this company and they have apologized, but we have waited 4 weeks for this repair and now are left high and dry.

The booking operator told me she did not know what could and could not be done in the field. I told her that was an operational system problem on their end. I don't know what kind of advice I can give to someone who wants to to business with this company - maybe talk to the tech that is actually doing your repair before scheduling the appointment to ensure that communication is not lost. if they let you do that - as the booking team does not have a clue what is going on.

Gene was right on time. Thoughtful, thorough and capable, he's the "MacGyver" of RV repair! I won't hesitate to use his professional services again when needed.

Needed a blower motor for my furnace (1997 sf-30) on new years eve. Everyone I called was out of stock and asking over twice as much as online.not that they had one in stock anyway. Another store refered me to Genes. They had the motor in stock, at a reasonable price, and were open till noon. When i picked up the motor I was so happy to find a local place that stocked all this stuff I went ahead and bought the sail switch, limit switch, as well as a new auto changeover regulator and hoses that they had in stock at reasonable prices! Will definitely call them again when I need RV parts. Thanks!

You family owned and operated and it feels that way. They really care / do great work and charge a fair clearly explained price. No gimmicks - the way things should be. We are new to Phoenix and will not look further for all our RV needs. Save yourself the searching and call Gene's RV and A/C Repair!

FIVE 's My heart and Broomhilda are forever connected to Gene's! We've been doing business with this family owned business for nearly three years. That may not seem long but I rent out Broomhilda and we visit Gene's almost monthly! If you're looking for a long term RV repair and service shop, STOP what you're doing and book an appointment. They have cared for Broomhilda from the beginning, taught me everything I know about my rig, and make me feel very important. Have you booked that appointment?

Had been without power in half of my rv for about a week. Called early in the morning and left a message. They called me back later the same afternoon and had someone here in about 20 minutes. Diagnosed the issue quickly and got my power issue resolved in about an hour. Top notch service by a family owned and operated business. Highly recommended in my book. Was 115 degrees and he had to work in the direct afternoon sun.

If i could give more than 5 stars i would. Definitely calling them again if I have future issues. Could have saved me a ton of money staying in a hotel and boarding 3 dogs for a week. Great job!

My AC unit was not working well last summer. Our bedroom was 4-5 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. They came out to investigate, the AC was ok, but the duct system was not installed correctly when built. So in the fall last year, I had them replace the AC unit (because it was the original and would not support the new freon requirements) and they redid the duct work.

I would have reviewed this sooner, but have not used the AC until this week. Have had it on now for a week and the bedroom is the same temperature as the thermostat is set. It works so much better. I am so glad that I called them. They were very professional and the job was done well. Thanks Gene and family!

Gene RV and AC repair is one of the more integrity driven air conditioning repair services I have ever experienced. My mother-in-law air-conditioning went out and she had called two separate repair people from the phone book to come out and they charge her over $300 and still didn't fix the problem. When she tried to call these two repairmen back they never returned her phone call.

I called Gene's RV and a C repair they respond quickly in a ride to the house at the exact scheduled time. They quickly diagnose the problem and had it repaired. Gene actually called the warranty service and had everything taken care with Very little paperwork on our side. I would highly recommend genes RV in AC repair. The washer/dryer in our RV quit drying so the manufacturer suggested Gene's. We called and found that no appointments were available for almost a week. Business is good, apparently! The appointment time was a 4 hour window, which I understand, but complicates my life! On the day of the appointment I got sick and had to see a doctor during the appointment window, so I called to say we could not be there after 4 PM because I had to go to the doctor.

The scheduler said she would tell the technician and we could reschedule. At 5, as I was leaving the doctor's office the tech called to say he'd be at our rig in 5 minutes; clearly the message had not been passed along! After more missed communications, we were able to reschedule the appointment, with another 4 hour window. The tech did show up at the very end of the window, (yep, sat in the rig for 4+ hours waiting) and did a find job getting the dryer vent cleaned out. (Wish I could do it myself, but Splendide apparently didn't consider that important).

Now the shocker! For about 30-45 minutes work the bill was over $200! To clean lint out of the dryer outlet that is designed so I can't do it myself. It may be awkward, but I will manage to do it myself next time. Gene's did do the job, and did it well. Communication was the first issue and the cost was outrageous!

We took our 2006 Fleetwood Pace Arrow to have an inspection and to fix a few things that needed to be addressed. They are very professional from the front desk all the way to the parts dept and the technicians. Great place to have your Rv worked on

Cannot say enough good about this man and his business! We needed help getting our RV road worthy and missed a couple of important issues. First, I spoke to Destinee who quickly got me scheduled for a visit and poof, our back up camera worked. Fast forward to yesterday, I picked up the RV after having GPS installed. Unbeknownst to me, the information I needed to activate the GPS was on the back of the NOW INSTALLED unit!

The only way to retrieve the numbers was to pull the GPS! Sigh, so I call, feeling stupid and lighter in cash. OK, Destinee, blah, blah, blah. POOF AGAIN! Destinee texted the numbers I needed because that wonderful man, Gene, had taken a picture before he installed it! Talk about guardian angels! Suffice to say, we are customers for life! This place had the better reviews so we chose them to inspect and make minor repairs to our fifth-wheel RV before our next adventure. The front desk ladies were very pleasant and helpful. The work was performed as promised and priced as promised. They will from now on be our RV Service Center in the East Valley AZ area.

We love Mike, the chief technician and Mike's mom who works in the back of the shop is always very nice and helpful. Watch out for the front desk person, Mary, though. She is going to answer my every question with a "no" right off the bat. If you ask around (I.e., Mike or his mom) you will probably get a more favorable (and pleasant) response and experience.

We not only recommend Gene's shop, we also store our rig with them. Which makes Mary's attitude that much more distasteful. Long story, short - their work is great, their technicians are excellent.their front desk customer service is awful, so just know that going in.

They did a great job on roof resealing, replacing damaged connector cable, redo brake wirings and inspection reports. Their repairs cost me less than other big names' RV shops. Be prepared to wait up to 2 months before RV is ready to be picked up especially with a family business but good savings on repairs costs. You need to call them occasionally for follow up on repairs otherwise stay in dark till it is ready to be picked up. I will bring my RV trailer back for other repairs in near future when I do not plan camping for a few months.

I took my 30 year-old travel trailer here when I first bought it and they were so ready to overcharge me for repairs that I later learned it did not need that I got out of there as quickly as I could. I'm grateful I listened to my intuition and went elsewhere. I would not recommend them to anyone.
