Four States Tire & Service

Showed up first thing in the morning for an alignment no one else was there and they told me I needed an appointment went down the road to Basin Tire and they told me that it was by appointment but since I was there first they would take care of me. now that's a business that knows how to make money and take care of their customers

My brother-in-Law stated that Four States Tire services claimed that a center of a tire puncture is not repairable, which every other tire professionals would state otherwise. I would not recommend their services.

This is a perfect place to get an oil change. They check everything. They properly check the vehicle's. Not like jiffy lubes where it's done in 10mins. I don't trust jiffy lube. GO TO FOUR STATES. It's a wait. but worth it if you wanted done right. They also have coupons for oil change too.

We were on a ski trip and a friend's jeep slid off the road and got banged up pretty badly. We were pretty sure that the tire had just popped and didn't see any damage to the struts, etc. but it was awfully out of alignment and knew we could potentially be in for a lot of repairs. Called several places right before closing on Tuesday and Four States was able to accommodate us Thursday at noon, which worked great for us.

We dropped it off, gave a lengthy explanation of what happened. They took good notes and asked a few questions. Called us back a couple of hours later, ready for pick up. They had cleaned up the tire/wheel issue, and got it back into alignment, all for a nominal cost. They could have easily tacked on some expensive repairs, but even though our chances of doing business again with them were small, they were incredibly honest, prompt, and delivered fantastic service. It was a huge relief and allowed us to finish up our vacation in great spirits. We hugely appreciate them.

Great local business. Friendly, honest, and great customer service. Make sure to make an appointment, they will stick to the appt time as much as possible. Clean bathrooms.

The work was good and reasonable but I waited over 2.5 hours. if its going to be that long, be honest and tell your customer. Don't tell the customer 45 minutes unless you mean it

Took forever to put 2 tires on an 2 balance and move to back it took 3 hours an half very disappointed in the service

Great customer service from my experience and also great service in general. I generally bring my vehicles here for; oil changes, flat tires and new tires. Haven't had anything go wrong so I would say they are pretty good. Their customer service is also pretty spot on and they are pretty knowledgeable and friendly.

Called a day in advance to check prices on 2 tires and alignment. Was told that it's first come first serve, so I asked what time they open for business. I was told at 7:30 am. So the next day I got up early and left home at 5:30 because it takes an 1 hr and 30 min to get to farmington from where I live. I got to the building 20 minutes before they opened. Went in as they opened, was told that there was some already ahead of me. they just opened.

Anyway I waited all morning for 2 tires to get replaced and a wheel alignment. By the way I had done all the time rods inner and outer, ball joints and struts myself about 2 months ago. All I needed was it to be aligned. My point is I arrived before the store opened and left around 11: 30. Too long of a wait I think! I hope to get better service next time around.

My husband brought our Jeep here to find out why the check engine light was on. The guys said it needed new spark plugs, we said ok do it, but upon picking it up we saw that the check engine light was still on. Not really feeling satisfied, my husband decided to take a look for himself as soon as we got home. The moment we popped the hood the inner hood liner fell down from the hood itself because it was stuffed full to the brim with bits of insulation, nuts, and other miscellaneous squirrel droppings.

Somehow after working on this car all day, the shop either failed to notice this problem, or (even worse) did in fact notice it- and failed to say anything or recognize that the squirrel activity resulted in a chewed wire in which was the cause of the check engine light. On top of that, the shop just LEFT the old sparks plugs (all 4 of them) and a dirty rag INSIDE THE ENGINE for us to find.

Prior to writing this review, we afforded them the opportunity to correct these two very serious issues with our service and all that we were offered was 50% off the first hour of labor on our next service. Needless to say, there will not be a next service. Not on the Jeep, not on our second personal vehicle, and not on my business vehicle either.

Not only did they fail to diagnose the issue, they ripped us off for a service we didn't need, they left old parts and a dirty rag in the engine, and they failed to correct any of the above. Lazy and incompetent.

If I could give 20 Stars I would! These guys completed a pre-purchase inspection of a vehicle I was about to buy from a local dealership. Cameron got me in same day which was awesome, he also made sure to ask lots of questions about the truck so everything was addressed during the inspection. Josh in the shop did an amazing job addressing all of those questions, as well as taking the time with genuine concern of the safety of the vehicle.

The vehicle was deemed completely UNSAFE and they saved me from making a GIGANTIC mistake by purchasing from this dealership. They explained every detail and even showed me some of the major issues. I can't thank them enough! BEST 50 BUCKS EVER SPENT! They were all very professional, kind and thorough - I will ABSOLUTELY be back! THANKS GUYS!

Got a slow tire leak repaired within an hour for a great price and got us back on the road still on schedule to drive 1000 miles back home. Will use them again if needed when back in town.

So. About 3 months ago I had my vehicle in for an oil change and they recommended some service repairs. I agreed to have the work done and paid for the services. The other day I brought the SAME vehicle in for an oil change. They again suggested I have THE EXACT same service done to my vehicle. The same work they had charged me to do 3 months ago.

The work in question (differential fluid change) usually is required every 50,000 miles and I had driven just under 3000. They also claimed my brakes (front and rear) needed replacing. I immediately suspected a scam so I declined and the next day took my vehicle to another shop. They inspected brakes and differential fluid. Fluid was fine and rear brakes had 70% life left in them.

The front brakes were down to 10% I am thoroughly disappointed as I have had all my families vehicles serviced at this shop and buy our tires here. Beware of their up sell services.

Friendly, courteous, and most importantly, competent service. Thank you Scott, Tony, and Cody for tending to the trailer tires and getting us back on the road in short order.

I was extremely pleased with my experience at Four States. I loved working with Jean-Paul and having his help on my car. He explained what I was getting in a way that made perfect sense to me and I noticed a huge improvement after they worked on my car! The service I received was above and beyond my expectations. I have had multiple poor experiences with them. Records/bookkeepingwise they are a nightmare. Every time I need service I have to bring in my receipt for my tires in order to get my free included tire rotations, because they can never find my tire purchase in their computer -- always with a new excuse as to why. When I expressed my frustration with always going thru this the manager, Danny, had an attitude.

The old manager, Luke, had a great attitude and was easy to work with. There are plenty of providers it in Durango. I will no longer buy my tires there, and have since found both Peerless and Big O to be great to deal with.

I am so pleased with service provided from Four States Tire! Brandon Miller and his team were helpful, honest and quick! They prepared me for additional work and cost that may be needed but then got into the work on my vehicle they found I didn't need anything extra. They could have easily pulled one past me and I would have never been the wiser. They were wonderful and I will definitely be using them in the future! Thanks again Brandon!

We're on the road with our motorhome and we got some road damage on a tire. We came to Four States in Durango with our problem. We were helped by the store manager Danny Petrie. He is very knowledgeable about tire brands and their performance values and we selected a tire that would replace the damage tire and work with the existing tires on the coach. Jesse had the damaged tire off and the replacement tire on and aired up to spec in what seemed like world record time.

He checked and adjusted all the air pressures on the remaining five tires and we were good to go, we thought! The fly in the ointment was with the extended warranty company that we had to work with to get some payback for the investment I made with American Guardian Warranty Services. The guys at Four States demonstrated extreme patience in dealing with people who seem to have no clue as to what it's like to be stranded on the road in a strange town.

A job that could have been completed and had us down the road in one hour took four because of the lack of concern and punctuality of AGWS. I also want to thank Asst. Mgr. Scott Cohen who helped process the paperwork and kept everyone calm in this situation. If you live in Durango or outlying areas go to Four States, if your on the road and you breakdown with a tire issue, call Four States, you'll be glad you did!

I would highly recommend Four States Tire & Service. These guys really helped me out when my car had issues with the Air suspension system. I was just traveling through Durango, camper in tow, when this happened. Not only were they able to accomidate me and look at the car right away, they made a quick fix to help get me back on the road within 24 hours.

All for a very reasonable price! I was able to continue my trip and tow my camper again. They were very helpful and understanding of my situation and went above and beyond what I expected. Thanks Four State Tire. You saved my vacation!

Danny the GM absolutely could not have done a better job. Came into Durango from Memphis and my water pump on my car went out and our trip was still going further west. No one in town could squeeze me in but Danny and company could not of been more concerned for my situation. I would highly recommend this business to anyone.

Don't got to their location in Cortez, Colorado. Their customer service is absolutely abhorrent.

I've been here a few times and well taken care of each time. Chance is a manager and he has always been honest and helpful. The management here are actually caring and compassionate. They are honest and not into gouging you out of your last buck. The labor charges are very reasonable. They are always very busy so plan on leaving your car there or at least staying awhile. I have had four states work on my vehicles for 8+ years and everything has been great. Customer service is fantastic. I have oil changes, tires and general maintenance done and I never worry about what is being done. They have saved me a lot of money with honest ways and directing me to the best value! I highly recommend!

Four States was the last place to change the oil on a vehicle I subsequently worked on. I've got the receipt. 1999 Honda CRV. I'm a strong dude and I had to use a cheater bar to remove the oil drain plug they'd so grossly over tightened it. Dudes, if it's dripping, install a copper gasket instead of torquing it to well over 100-foot pounds. Avoid this place at all costs.

Now that our JEEP is paid off there isn't a "need" for us to take it to the dealership for basic service, non-OEM replacement parts, and of course tires. I have never been a fan of the JEEP dealership's selection of shocks or tires, that's where Four States comes in. We recently bought a set of Cooper AT, new Monroe shocks and struts, and of course an oil change.

All are reasonably priced and executed with attention to detail. The only ding I can put on this place is waiting for service to be done, it can be long. but then I have been happy with the results every time. I would select this place over Big O for tires and over the dealership for most everything else service oriented.

Special ordered tires from them. Arrived late, and were the wrong size. After, they tried up selling me into tires twice as expensive as the ones I had ordered. Very rude employees, and managers. I will not go back to them for anything, ever!
