In 1986, seeking to provide extraordinary Mercedes service, while treating both customers and technicians as he felt they should be, David Pettengill started a shop of his own. For 36 years now, The Foreign Service has been living out that vision. The passion we have for our work and our commitment to excellence has been a winning combination for both us and our customers.

When David began working on Mercedes in 1972, your Benz may not have been born yet. With over 100 years combined experience, our Master Mechanics thoroughly know and understand your classic Mercedes. We have restored dozens of Mercedes over the past 25 years. Be it a '38 170V Roadster or a '69 280 SL, we have what it takes to bring new life to your vintage Mercedes.

Had car checked out and needed services performed. Very fast and prompt service. Have used in the past and are very knowledgeable and prompt concerning repairs and service. This was my first time using this business and I am so thankful I found them; they performed service on my Mercedes-Benz ML350. They were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, honest and did not over charge. My car's performance was great after I picked it up and they washed and vacuumed my car. They offer loaner cars with no problems. This place is the best for your Mercedes Benz people.

Craig and the team over at The Foreign Service are excellent! I have a 22 year old Mercedes SL, and while I absolutely love the car, it developed some issues with the ADS suspension. The system is complex to say the least. Prior to my visit, I took the car to Mercedes and their diagnosis was just to throw expensive parts at it to see if it would solve the issue.
They were wanting thousands of dollars with no real guarantee that the problem would be solved. I called the foreign service and Craig was able to get me an appointment quickly. I dropped the car off and just a few days later, all the issues were completely solved at a fantastic price. They used laptops and Mercedes software to diagnose and fix the issue directly.
The car now performs flawlessly and I can get back to enjoying it. If you own a Mercedes, specifically one older than 15 years, it really is one of the best places to visit and get your problem solved.

I had asked for a quote over the phone and was told $250 when I got there the bill literally doubled being $500 without asking me. They did drop labor however all the parts are ridiculously overpriced as it was still around $360. They quoted me $800 for from braked on my car however after how unprofessional they where to begin I called the shop where I use to live and a different one here both quoted me around $620 with the same exact parts. These are scam artists if they give your a bill larger then expected don't stand for them trying to take advantage get other quotes and get them in writing!

10/15/2020: I am still using The Foreign Service to keep my SL class mercedes on top. From Owner David, Bruce at the front line, and all of the great techs, I have nothing but great things to say. Quality service AND quality people. They care about the care of your vehicle and do not treat you or your vehicle as just another number. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update (4/2018): I am still using the Foreign Service.
They are still great and keeping my car serviced and on the road. I have spent tons of money at the dealership, and at other places that claim to be Mercedes certified service centers. Believe me, no one, and I mean NO ONE, shows the care, concern, professionalism, and stellar service that you will receive at this shop. Trust me, you will be doing yourself and your Mercedes a service by going to the Foreign Service for all your Mercedes Automotive needs! ______________________________________________ I can't say enough good things about this place.
