Had multiple fault codes/warning lights pop up - ABS, PSM, etc. and an air bag system warning message. First trip took care of the warning (idiot) lights which restored cruise control, PSM, etc. But, despite work done didn't fix the air bag system issue. Second trip, with outside help, got that fixed, too. I applaud their sticktoitiveness! Thanks to the staff and Sebastian, the owner for going above and beyond.

This was my first time having my MINI repaired by ArborMotion and my car is back to running beautifully again. They got me in quickly, kept me updated on how it was going and did what they said they would do. Nicely done! Arbormotion is the complete service resource. As usual, I was greeted, my vehicle records recalled, an appointment scheduled and service performed on time and on budget. The vehicle was examined for issues as part of the process. I can only join hundreds of others n commending the courtesy, professionalism and expertise to be found at Arbormotion!

Update: Sebastian the owner gave me a call and corrected the issue by giving me a refund. He was very apologetic and I felt like he truly cared about my experience and the reputation of the company. 1 star to 3 stars after two phone calls. Terrible experience. Dropped my car off for a check engine light that indicated my thermostat needed to be replaced.

Even though the issue was already known when I walked in, they charged my $150 dollars to "diagnose it" with no mention of this cost up front. After receiving their estimate (also double + what other estimates were) I decided not to go with them. When I questioned what they did to diagnose the problem they had no information besides checking the light - which was completed before coming in and takes 30 seconds - 1 minute to do. 0 issues fixed, 150 dollars spent with no explanation or heads up. I will be telling everyone I know not to use this shop.

Even though I'm out of state I was treated like a longtime customer. They went above and beyond to help me & continue to offer great support. I highly recommend!

I experienced the most mediocre customer service at Arbormotion out of any mechanic shop I've been to, which surprised me considering it's both the highest rated and most expensive one. I brought in an '06 Lexus RX330 for a set of new tires. It had the best ratings on Tire Rack and I figured if I was already paying a lot for the tires, I might as well get them installed by the best.

Once the work was finished, the shop called me and said the final price was $244, a bit higher than the $222 that I was quoted when I accepted the extra work (mount and balance four tires, swapping the spare with one of the old tires, and disposal fee). I asked if it was possible to go with the price he had given me before I accepted, and he seemed displeased that I had even suggested that.

If he had just politely said that there was nothing he could do, I would've been fine with that. Later, at the shop, I received the discount, but he seemed unhappy about the whole situation. I'd rather have dealt with a friendly person and not gotten the discount but instead, I saved $20 and was left with a bad taste in my mouth. Finally, when I measured the cold air pressure, I found all four tires overinflated unevenly at 34, 34, 35, and 37 psi instead of the 30 psi clearly stated on the inside of the driver's side. Tire pressure is so simple to get right, I was more surprised than upset that they managed to get it wrong.

These prima-donnas should be running a finishing school for young women or teaching a high tea etiquette class. However, if you want your car repaired without being hustled by charlatans, choose another shop. I am not sure why one would need to vacuum a car interior to work on a fuel pump, but a car detailing fee of close to $300 is exorbitant. I am not sure as to the reasons for the bad service.

Maybe they are not accustomed to dealing with an urban clientele or they are just inept at their occupations or for some other disclosed reason. I do know that my car sat for close to 2 weeks before I was notified that they could not work on the car until it was detailed. The detail shop is next door, but not a part of their business according to the desk manager. Yet, they can transfer incoming calls from the same phone line. The service is subpar, the attitude is morose the audacity and pretense are at the highest level

Never get to talk to tech who works on car to find out "how it faired" in the process. Everything is electronic so when you get the bill that's more like a guy telling you without a printed invoice what it costs. Supposedly work on Lexus vehicles but notified me after having the car from 0800 through 1530 that they didn't have the part needed to open the transmission case for the drain and fill.

They probably did all the work as described, but no way to really tell. Also, they've never heard of filling out the vehicle maintenance log. Seems pretty basic mechanic stuff to fill out the log that belongs to the vehicle. Very disappointed in this shop. Edit: despite the experience they did offer to make it right which is awesome. Will try again the future.

Great service already scheduled my next appointment. Super clean well organized and I loved the email/text communication. Plus I got a free ride home and back while they did the work.

I came in to have some general maintenance done - the easy stuff was done properly as far as I can tell although I'm not sure how much to trust it (AC Fix, Differential Fluid Change, and Fuel Filter Change - there might be a related whine coming from the rear diff now, but I can't say conclusively). I also knew ahead of time that I had an issue with my right front Engine Mount and I asked them to take a look.

They told me I had a suspension issue or tire rubbing. which I knew was not the issue as I had already checked this. I went elsewhere to get work done and had the engine mount replaced which fixed the issue. This makes it harder to trust their work was done properly, when I had come in, correctly told them the issue with my vehicle, and they did not recognize it and instead recommend alternative work.

Pretty expensive for some easy maintenance jobs I would do myself with a lift. I've gone elsewhere for more work on my vehicle and will continue to go elsewhere. I'm disappointed, because I expected this place to be better than most considering their reputation and experience with euro vehicles.

Fair price, punctual and attentive, work done accurately, and the chariot was washed upon completion. From beginning to end, a seamless experience and I WILL be back! Highly recommend ArborMotion to all my Euro-centric driving friends!

Arbormotion does top quality work, communicates really transparently about each decision point, and seems to be really fair and honest with customers. I had my car towed to their shop unannounced after having accidentally put regular gas into a diesel car. Despite being booked weeks out, they began working on my vehicle, and it's somewhat rare problem, almost immediately.

It ended up taking a month for them to work through the issues, but mostly because I hadn't scheduled ahead, plus they had to research the correct fix, and I told them it was my second car and I wasn't in a hurry. Bringing this problem to Arbormotion was a great decision, and my 2004 Golf TDI is running as well or maybe even a little better than it has in years. I'll never bring my cars to a dealer again, Arbormotion is great!

Truly excellent in every regard. I was blown away with their willingness to accommodate me at a moments notice whenever I needed to get into the shop. More importantly, I felt like I could trust the mechanics; their rates are exceptionally reasonable and they don't play games recommending services or repairs that you don't need. This should be your default auto shop in Ann Arbor.

Arbor Motion has been my only auto mechanic since 2013. Their expertise has been appreciated as my vehicles are 12 and 18 years old. I am convinced their care has allowed me to keep these cars running quite well through the years.

Greed is there middle name. If you just want to throw your money away then this is the place for you. On the other hand they do exceptionally good work. It's another Ann Arbor business that's mostly for wealthy customers

I have taken my BMW to a few other shops in town and would recommend ArborMotion over other European/import autoshops in town. It is a professional, clean facility and they go the distance to take care of you. I requested a quote online, was contacted the same day for some details and had a competitive quote later that day. I was able to drop my car off, they provided a shuttle to drop me off at work (nearby) and picked me up at the end of the day.

They ran into some issues resulting from prior work done by a different shop, but were professional in communicating with me what was happening and options moving forward. The total cost was exactly as I was quoted, and they give a free car wash to boot! Best service I've experienced and it shows in the ways they go the extra mile to take care of you. Will be taking my car back there for future work.

I've been taking all of my cars (Audi TT, Lexus 450h and Porsche 993) here for more than 4 years; stellar service and very knowledgeable and personable staff. After trying the various local dealerships for service (and actually getting my car back from the Lexus dealer once with the rear calipers unattached after getting a brake job there), I hope to never go back to any of the dealers again.

Traveling thru town and lost both low beam headlights. Stopped by to see how much to replace TWO bulbs as it's too cold out to do it in a parking lot.they tell me 2 1/2 hours for $350.your an ass hole gouger. In reply to owners comments. When you want it done right, take it to ArborMotion. They have solved many a problem with my Porsche, and done it in a timely fashion. They may be a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I took my car into Attention 2 Detail at Arbor Motion to have it detailed today. I had spilled a gas canister in the trunk and the gas had got under the mat and onto he carpet. The car needed a general clean anyway and so I got the Premier interior detail at $229. I called Sebastian for a quote and was immediately impressed by the customer service.

When I brought the car in, the service desk were so friendly and courteous. They introduced me to the technician, Nick, who was going to clean the car. He made sure to ask exactly what I expected out of he service and point out areas of concern. I got a ride directly home from Stephen and was picked up later in the day when the car was ready. Check out was easy and the service desk clerk even laughed at my Seinfeld joke.

Now to the car. they warned me that there may still be a slight gasoline smell, but I couldn't detect it. The car was immaculate inside and they'd cleaned the outside even though I was expecting just an interior clean. I am so impressed with every aspect of my service today. Definitely worth 5 stars. Thank you!

Took my Audi here to get a check engine light diagnosed! They told me there was metal in the oil and wanted to charge me $8500 for a new one! Took the car to two other shops that both diagnosed it as a bad high pressure fuel pump. Thanks guys!

ArborMotion fixed the split front bumper very cleverly. They put a flexible stable on my VW that "gives" when I pull up to far to curbs. Thank you, Linda

They give back to community, treat the kids on Halloween day, free jungle gym, kids activity, very kind and very hard to find nowadays. I meant to write the review but been put it off, today I came across it, bravo for this business!

Went in the other day to get tires from TireRack.com installed here. The entire process couldn't have been smoother. Took about an hour for me to walk in and drive out. I spent the time in their waiting area doing homework on my laptop. Definitely found my new go-to auto shop in AA.

They made my 11 year old Prius look like new, excellent, perfect job. Free shuttle. Well worth the price.

Excellent service. Super professional job. I had availed there services for interior detailing, the basic package. Car looked like new (no exaggeration). They even did a complementary car wash on the outside. Totally recommended.

This place is great! I bought my very first set of snow tires from them in November. I wanted something decent that would get me through my 100 mile/day commute. I couldn't be happier with the tires they recommended. They were right at my price point and performed perfectly. I appreciate Arbor Motion for not taking advantage of my ignorance of snow tires by recommending the most expensive and unnecessary set.

Just recently I returned to have my regular tires put back on (yay spring time!). Something on the tires got all over my trunk. I called them and they offered to clean it out right away. They power washed the trunk and even checked the pressure in my spare tire while they were in there. They didn't give me a hard time or question my story. They simply made it right. I'm always weary going into mechanic shops because it's usually all men and I expect them to not take me seriously and/or try to take advantage of me.

I have not felt that way at all at Arbor Motion. Highly recommend! It's true that you get what you pay for, and if you're willing to pay slightly more than the chain retailers you can have awesome service and support a local company!

I have been to Arbor Motion once and the experience absolutely was terrible. I have never met someone who really wanted to fix my car that bad. Well let's just say that he insisted that I needed to get my car repaired and it would have cost me over one thousand dollars to do so. It was mind blowing that they would expect me to pay that much. I said no multiple times and he continue to pressure me to get my car fix at Arbor Motion.

Some people just don't understand the word "No". I think he wanted me to spell it out for him. It was the worst experience in my life. It felt like like hours for me even to get my car out of the shop. He just would not take no for an answer. I felt like I was taken advantage of. Finally I was able to get my car out of the shop and get it fix at another place for just one hundred dollars. Thanks Arbor Motion for trying to rip me off.
