EMS supplies alternators, generators starters and components to end users, fleets and rebuilders throughout North America.

EMS has grown from a one-man rebuilding shop into a staple of the economy in Logan, WV by offering quality products and the best service possible to its customers - whether it be the DIYers who aren't satisfied unless they can get their hands on the job, the fleet managers who need to work in a budget without sacrificing quality, or the rebuilder that knows and understands the intricate and complicated electrical systems that are in use today on all types of cars, trucks and equipment.

The owner of this company had my car towed, even though it was in their parking lot for less than 6 hours, was out of the way of their loading areas, and was parked there outside of their posted normal business hours. My husband attempted to make contact with the owner prior to leaving the car there, but no one answered the phone. He left a message.

I called today to ask for their reasoning. Some of my favorite quotes from the female owner are as follows: "The car is towed and that's how it is." "The light wasn't flashing." (referring to the answering machine on which my husband had left a message) "We tried to contact you, but your number isn't listed." (which is contradictory to the previous statement.

How would they know who to try and contact if they hadn't seen/heard the message?) "It's private property, and we have the right to have it towed." (which is, unfortunately, true. Although I found out from a local attorney that if we wanted to press the issue over $150 + $16 per day, we might actually win, because their property line is not clearly marked with curbs, etc.) Another interesting thing I found out from the lawyer is that it is equally legal for me to inform the public of what an asshat this business owner is.

As long as I stick to the facts of the incident, it is not libelous or slanderous to write reviews on Yahoo! Local, their facebook page, or here on my page and make it public. So, that is what I'm doing. This company is a locally owned and operated business that is dependent upon the town of Ardmore, Oklahoma and surrounding communities to stay in business.

The owner appears to be apathetic to the citizens of said community. It could be said that she does not care for others' property and that she is not diligent in doing what is ethically responsible to help support the community members who are responsible for keeping her in business. She did not appear to have any emotion about the idea of removing transportation from a disabled child indefinitely.

There are other electrical motor shops in the area that would benefit from your business who are likely much more empathic and community-minded and -oriented. Thank you for reading!
