I had received the quote from the dealer concerning some auto maintenance that total $1,200. EK did the recommended service work for half the price. I never thought I'd be too excited about an auto repair place, but it does give me peace of mind to feel that these folks are honest and do not try to upcharge you. I almost can't wait to bring my car back!

I was having a particularly bad week and then ran over a nail and needed my tire repaired. EK Automotive patched the tire in no time for an exceptional rate. They were friendly and professional and really took care of me. It's nice to have an honest and helpful mechanic to go to. I highly recommend this auto shop!

I was looking into places to get my oil changed besides the basic Jiffy lube stop in. I must say I am SO HAPPY I BROUGHT MY CAR HERE. They are so thorough and honest and as a young female bringing my car in I sometimes feel iffy and hesitant with the extra recommendations car places make for my car, but here at Ek they were super real and to the point and even took the time to explain what certain services were and why they are beneficial, but they were not pushy AT ALL which I appreciated so very much.

The day after my oil change I unfortunately had a nail in my tire. I called Ek Automotives and they were happy to get me in that day and patch up my tire and put it back on in no time. LIFESAVERS. I'm so very grateful and excited! Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart!

These guys are great. Honest and upfront, they're a really solid establishment. I always feel comfortable dropping my car off with them; they're great about talking through both work that's immediately needed and work that can be deferred for later. These Guys Are Great! Hospitality, Informative, Caring, and Good pricing! They work on all cars, I have a 1991 Toyota Corolla Classic and needed the alignment done to it and they were able to accommodate me day of! They gaurenntee there work also as it was presented to me the alignment has a One year warranty! About 2 weeks later I notice the car was moving to the right I called them and they told me to bring it in the next day and fixed it up for me!

EK has been our go to mechanic since moving to the area and they offer great service for a fair price. They're like that family mechanic who helps you out and cuts you a great deal, but they do it for everyone who walks in the door. Awesome genuine crew that has made sure my girlfriend and my car are in tip top shape.

I found this place on yelp, and I'm glad I came across it! Brian who helped me was so nice and I'm so happy he was there to converse with while I got my oil change! Ek automotive has always provided top service: efficient, competent, and courteous. They have the best for you and your car in mind and always explain the needs of your car thoroughly.

I was charged a diagnostic fee over over $100 dollars when I already told them the problem from another service station. I asked if they could do Hyundai repairs for the original problem and then call and said they didn't have the equipment for the repair. ASR's for my diagnostic fee back; never got it. Will never go there again, I recommend you do not either!

Great service, seem very honest. Received a hand written thank you card in the mail, too, which was a nice touch! Also, I secretly want to work here. Their building looks so fun! (I know nothing about cars haha)

After we moved to Norwood Park we've been playing a form of auto-service roulette over the last 15 years.our checkbook is full of holes. The steering in my wife care was getting wonky, and, as luck would have it, we received a flyer from Ek Auto in the mail and decided to give the chamber another spin. They did a terrific job and sorted a couple of other issues we'd been having with the car. Clean, honest, friendly, and efficient.

The waiting room is cool.very creative. Steve is a true renaissance man and a pleasure to talk to. Having a trusted auto mechanic is right up there with finding a family physician. We're very happy to have discovered Ek Auto.

The air conditioning was not working on my Fathers 2014 Chevy Impala. My Brother said it was an easy fix I could save money and do it myself by purchasing a can of freon at the local auto parts store. Up to this point the only 'work' I had done on any car was filling It with gas and washing It once or twice. So I'm not sure why I thought it would be as easy as my brother said. Spent several hours watching YouTube videos. Spent about $50 can of freon.

And eventually was successful adding the freon to the car and getting the A/C working again! The cold A/C lasted about a day. It was then I decided this was better left to a professional. I received a flyer in the mail from EK Automotive. Called them and spoke to Natalie. She had a great attitude and was able to set up an appointment right away. They inspected the car, fixed the A/C and changed the oil.

The cost to do all of that was not much more than what I paid for just an oil change at jiffy lube. Excellent overall experience and Recommend EK Automotive to anyone who owns a car. It's been several months since they fixed the A/C and it still continues to work perfectly. Natalie and Mike are really helpful and fun to talk to

They tell you the way it is and do not try to nickel and dime you for things that you do not need done. It is a pleasure to have someone so close to where I live. I had a minor repair today and the service was incredible! I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Everyone at Ek Auto was rather friendly. I liked how that made what was going wrong with my car understandable to a simple non-mechanic mind as mine. It wasnt the cheapest place but having someone i feel like i can trust work on my car is a bigger plus in my book.

My Wife found EK and I took my car there as well. The folks at EK were friendly, understood our needs, advised on repair needs and provided a cost effective alternative instead of just charging me more. We will be return customers.

We were looking for a mechanic close to where we live. We found automotive happiness in Ek Auto. Located in the Edison Park neighborhood of Chicago, they have been an established business for 24 years as of this month serving all your mechanical needs for your automobile. My husband and I brought our car in without an appt. It needed an oil change and we wanted to see if the brakes needed to be done. 1.

The mechanics were fair and honest with us. They told us our brakes looked good, changed the oil and provided a well printed receipt detailing all charges. 2. The inside of the waitroom is very clean. The floors are neatly made with recycled crates. 3. We also needed a new windshield as a rock cracked the glass on ours. They had the windshield replaced for a decent price and a did good job. 4. Steve Ek is a, "neighborhood, " guy.

He is very down to earth and very fair to deal with. His character was a draw for us to try his shop. We will continue to be patron's of Ek Automotive. Both Rob and I are glad we found the place. Nellie and Rob K.
