100% recommend. Brakes failed in Columbia and had it towed to a mechanic up there, and they tried to rip me off. Saved well over a thousand bringing it here, well worth the extra tow. Owner is extremely friendly and helpful.

Brakes went bad with no warning on my company truck, I absolutely needed it fixed ASAP, loosing money every hour it's down. Went to one place nearby and they said $975. Tried another across the street and they said $818. Went to DJ's and they said $500, by this time it's 3:00 Friday afternoon. Got a call back at 5:00 about an exact estimate and by 10:00 the next morning my truck was fixed for half the price as the guys up the street. Friendly, quick, and at an honest price, don't find much of that anymore.

My car's air conditioner broke down on the hottest week of august 2021. i live in virginia, but it was a friend's high recommendations that got me to drive this hot car to dj's. my car was repaired within days and at at the most reasonable price! i can truly say i was happy with the service at dj's auto specialists!

I was towed early in the morning in front of his shop before he opened, by the time he opened he already had his first few appointments there, and when I told him I needed help he was very very nice and polite about it and I'm sure he was booked for the day, he didn't have the tire I needed to be able to drive my car but he made sure I got one from the tire place next door Instead of just saying oh well sorry can't help ya, I was very freaked out from just hitting a deer and messing my car up and he was very polite and professional and looked at my car eventho he was pretty busy already with appointments and made sure I was taken care of eventho he wasn't getting any of the business for himself. I would highly recommend

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value You guys said you would be done with my car at 6pm. I got no phone call explaining that my car would not be done by then. I dropped my car off at 2pm with you all. I explained I am moving states, I am now stranded with my son. POOR COMMUNICATION! If I could give this business a 0 I would.

We love DJs. We drive from Catonsville to take our cars here. I've never felt taken advantage of or overcharged, and they've gone out of their way to expedite parts and repairs for us several times. Honest mechanics with fair rates are hard to find and we will be customers for a long time.

I bought my new SUV with Carvana, and I had to get it assembled. From the moment I entered in Tom was so friendly and answering all my questions. Although, they did not have the necessary brackets, they took a step further to help me and ordered it from Honda. They were genuinely nice; I have no doubt I'll be back in this business.

I have been taking my cars to DJ Auto Specialist for more than 15 years. I have never been dissatisfied with their quality of work. I never feel like I'm being ripped off and I drive a Mercedes. Tom and Mauricio and the crew are extremely professional, experienced an extends great customer service. They are experienced in servicing domestic and foreign cars. Just picked up our 2010 Toyota minivan after an oil change service. We hadn't had our vehicles serviced here for a long time, but we thought we'd give this place a go since it's within close proximity to our house. I called about a week ago to check their hours and pricing (was quoted between $50-$60 for a synthetic oil change). Upon dropping the car off, we double-checked the pricing and were quoted $60.

Upon picking up the car, the price charged was $89. We have never been charged that high for an oil change, even at the dealer. The reason for the price difference was for an extra quart of oil and a different kind of filter (?). How could a mechanic not know how many quarts of oil are required given that all the vehicle information was provided? Also, when asked why we were not contacted for the price difference, he showed my husband a video of his granddaughter playing.

So random and so irrelevant! This to us is not a sound business practice. Take your business somewhere else where better business ethics is practiced! 1/13 This is a response to the owner's communication. We are clearly aware that oil change estimate does not include taxes and other disposable fees. However, oil change is something where the estimate should be pretty precise given the model year and make of the vehicle.

Should not go from $50-60 to $89. Also, we've had hundreds of oil changes between numerous vehicles and multiple mechanic shops and never had such a discrepancy with oil change pricing. As far as your efforts to keep a good relationship with your customers, we too hope as such with businesses we choose to patronage. However, completely dismissing our question of why we were not contacted and instead sharing your family videos does not suffice as trying to build good relationships with customers.

I went to have my car looked at for state inspection. Staff was courteous, friendly and professional. They did an excellent job of explaining their services and I highly recommend them! Services: Auto glass repair, General repairs & maintenance

I've been going to DJ's for several years, because in the past I found them to have reliable and trustworthy service. However, starting earlier this year, I found this abruptly changed. I brought my car in four times over a period of two months for the same exact problem: the check-engine light was on, with a variety of other weird symptoms like misfiring, rough idle, and a weird clicking sound when first starting up. I'd bought a code reader, and told mechanic Mauricio about the "thermostat control circuit" code I was getting; every time I got the car back, the engine light would come back on a couple days later, followed by increasingly escalating symptoms (low coolant, low oil pressure).

Eventually they found that the engine block was cracked. (Presumably from overheating, although Mauricio assured me multiple times that the thermostat was fine.) They had to replace the entire engine. But what really struck me was just how lackadaisical and seemingly uninterested in servicing me Mauricio and owner Tom were throughout the process. They slow-rolled and eventually outright refused to work with the service contract I have on the car through my bank as part of my auto loan; at one point, Tom said he'd call them, then when I followed up three days later, he said he was waiting for me to give him their number. Days would go by without hearing back from them and with no progress made on my car, until I called asking for a status update. (It supposedly took Mauricio two days to get a code reader so he could reset the check-engine light.

Two days.) What happened? Well, earlier this year, I came to the shop with my wife so she could get her car inspected: with the "Annoy a Liberal" sign and various religious tchotchkes on their front-office walls, I have a sneaking suspicion that they deliberately started giving me poor service after learning I was married to another woman. On the other hand, maybe I'm wrong about this. and this poor service is now par for the course for all customers. Either way, DJ's is absolutely not worth your time.

Love this place. Brought my car here for an inspection, super quick. Brought my other car in for battery replacement and oil change amd it was done within an hour. He offered to call me with pricing information to replace the sawy bar in my mustang. I had a good vibe from the moment I walked in. Not like other shops where you just feel like you're not being told the truth.

Purchased a vehicle that had been inspected by this location. They did list a few things wrong on the inspection report but nothing major. I had the vehicle re-inspected a week later at a different shop and they pointed out that not only was there a section of compromised/rusted frame rail, but the control arms needed replaced. The floorpans were also rusted to the point where poking them with a pencil would have went through them. All of those things were marked as pass on the inspection report when they shouldn't have been.

They do good work but just have patience. Being 1 of the reliable and good shops around a lot of work comes his way.

Great service, friendly folks, and went the extra mile for me. Will definitely be going back and recommending to friends.

I have been taking my cars to Dj's for nearly 15 years. Over the years I have always found Tom to be trustworthy and dependable, providing very good service for a fair price. I appreciate the fact that his mechanics have been with him for years. I'm not much of a car expert, which makes me feel vulnerable going in for a car repair. When I go to DJ's I feel like I can let down my guard because I'm confident Tom will steer me in the right direction and not take advantage.

THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKED! DO NOT GO HERE! Sent my son to get his car inspected.car was fine when he got there. They took it in the bay and minutes later came out and told him it was "smoking" and he needed a new head gasket for $800. I came home checked it and it was fine.took it to my mechanic the next day and he said it was fine. They tried to take advantage of a young man who didn't know better. You should be ashamed of such dishonest business practices.

DJ's is an auto body repair place that try's to rip you off anyway they can. I will never take any car or tell anyone about DJ's. They charge too much for minor work that might be needed for your car. I got my car inspected there and got a quote of 600$ for repairs. Took my car down the street and got the same job for half the price.

They had the nerve to get mad because I did not get my work done there and wanted to charge me 20$ more for a reinspection, when clearly the bottom of the form states if you return in 30 days the inspection is free. I will chalk the 70 something odd dollars you got from me up as a loss.

Customer Service & Professionalism at its BEST! I went to DJ's to get a safety check and the experience was better than expected. They offered me shuttle service and as a mom of 5, that's so invaluable. My husband took in his vehicle and they accommodated his work schedule and made sure his wait would be as short as possible. Support small businesses and go to DJ's. Honesty & Integrity to boot. You won't be disappointed!

Fast service, and very friendly! I called DJ's when my car wouldn't start after filling up at a nearby gas station. Tom and his technicians figured out it was just air in the fuel system--I'd let the tank get too low before refueling. Since the fix was so simple and fast, Tom gave me a discount on labor. I appreciate his honesty and courtesy!

On my way out the door last week, complaining to a neighbor that I had an air leak in a tire and had to go get it fixed. She suggested D.J.'s as they had done work for her a couple of times and she was very happy with them. I went and they fixed the tire right away and recommended I replace two tires that were getting bad. No pressure, just whenever I wanted to do it. I called back this week and they ordered the tires and put them on the next day. Very professional and great customer service.

New to the area, I had a great experience. I felt comfortable in my spirit from the time I walked in. I was not disappointed. The owner went above and beyond to get the job done and courteous called me progress. My truck was finished and passed inspection as promised. This will definitely be my go to automotive shop. EXCELLENT JOB GUYS!

D.J.'s is my go-to place for auto repairs and has been for almost four years now. They have always been able to diagnose a problem and repair for a reasonable price in a timely manner. This is a clean, organized, well run auto repair garage that offers great service for a fair price! I recommend them to all of my friends and will continue to.

I usually don’t write reviews, but had to share after receiving great service. I was told by Jiffy Lube that I needed transmission service and was quoted for about $125. I went to DJ’s and found out I didn’t even need the service. DJ’s would’ve been cheaper than Jiffy Lube anyways. They could’ve easily done the job and taken my money, but they decided to be honest and won themselves a loyal customer. I’ll be back when my car actually needs repairs.
