Founded over 50 years ago by Joseph Leifken Sr.(center), the business began as an American gas station also providing mechanical repairs and auto body work. Soon the shop became known as the place to go to for frame and structural related damage. This original frame equipment was manufactured by a company call Bear Automotive Equipment.

Kurt and his team are great at what they do! I had a little off road accident and needed a side fender painted. EVERYONE in the area quoted over $800. Kurt did it for $275 and when i picked it up he said just give me $250! That never happens. I am a lifer with them and i send all my group members there now. Thanks Bear Automotive!

I went to Denville Bear and Body to get an estimate. Frank was very "rough around the edges" but I figured I would get the estimate anyways since this place came highly recommended. When I went back with my estimate from my insurance company (geico), Frank refused to work with them and yelled that I would have to pay out of pocket. He was rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional.
Why he is placed to work with new customers is beyond me! I called another company, and they assured me that they have worked with this person from Geico and did not see this as a problem. He said that I need a new bumper, and that is what I will get. Too bad I have to now travel 45 minutes, when I could have stayed within walking distance! If Frank is that unhappy, maybe it is time for him to move on!

These people are terrific! We have done business with them for several years now and we could not be happier. Frank Sanchez, the manager, is so professional and helpful. When he says the car will be ready at a certain time, it always is. He has been very helpful in all phases of our repair challenges. As he told my wife recently, "you will not be able to tell that the car is not brand new when we are finished"!
And Frank was right! Her SUV looks brand new! And they were very fair with pricing and dealing with our insurance carrier as well. Obviously, we are very happy with this service!

I had front end damage on my BMW X5 from someone valet parking into a pole. I was recommended by BMW of Newton to take my car to Denville Bear. The process was seamless, I was provided a quote same day and they met the appraiser soon after. My car was well taken of and turned out beautiful in much less time than originally expected! Also, Frank is amazing!

Great shop and staff. I worked with Frank. He was more than helpful. I got into an accident and needed the entire passenger side of my car repaired, bumper to bumper including an entire paint job. Denville bear worked with my insurance company and made sure they used all bmw OEM parts, when my insurance company wanted to use refurbished parts. My car looks like new and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for an easy experience and great work.

Great experience, the repairs to my BMW M3 were perfect. Frank made the whole experience easy, as he wrote the estimate and handled the entire claim with my insurance company. The repairs were not only perfect, but completed on time as promised. I can see why BMW and my Insurance company recommends Denville Bear & Body. If I could give them a 10 Star rating, I would. I highly recommend.

The company is horrible. Took my car there a few months ago and the workmanship was just awful. They fixed my bumper, then within 2 weeks late the bumper fell off in the middle of the road. I do not recommend using them. And I realized from this experience never use any recommendation from your insurance company. Do your research and find a quality repair shop, bc this company was just the worst.

Excellent experience. My insurance company recommended several but this was the closest to where I live and less than a mile from the car rental company who picked me up right at the Denville Bear and Body Shop door. Everyone was highly professional which took the anxiety out of a terrible experience. They spoke directly to my insurance company and handled all the paperwork. Great gal behind the desk who was very sweet and helpful. Thanks to all. Pat

I am surprised about the negative reviews. I have been using them for over 15 years. I have had several cars replaced there and have nothing but great things to say. The timing was some times longer than expected but they always kept me in the loop with what was happening. I have most recently had my wife's Infiniti QX60 replaced and they matched the pearl white perfectly which is no easy task. They also repaired my Toyota Tundra last year and it looks great.
