Dave's Complete Auto Service

I came here for many things my Audi suddenly had. I hope this would be an isolated event but I would like to share in case people feel that they have the same experience. I had an Audi Q7 2007 and unfortunately I had many problems with it, the funny thing is that I experience a bit of what someone experience here in the comments about their charges.

Example labor cost could be $1,500 and parts only $200 and they don't really want to go over it when you pay, just your signature. Probably this is common on European cars (cheap parts, expensive labor). Another issue I encountered was that many times, we needed further inspection to resolve the issue of my car and again I have to spend more money, not only that but sometimes at the end they were not able to solve the issue and give me the option to either take my car or charge me more to look into the issue further (could be between $500 to $2000) and just to look at the issue not to fix it.

In one instance, they said that the engine light won't go away after they solved 2 out of the 3 issues and that to look further to see what is causing the 3er issues would cost me more money, so I decided to get my car and to my surprise the engine light was not there, could be that I was very lucky. Another experience was that my car had another issue which it couldn't start they engine but the battery was on and almost brand new so I decided to tow my car to their shop, after a couple of weeks they give me the news that my car could not star, they did everything to start the car but it couldn't start or at least show signs that it was alive.

When I give them my car, it could turn on (battery was functioning) but it couldn't star the engine. So again, they said I needed to pay a couple of hundred of dollars for them to do further inspections but at this time I decided to get rid of the car. I just didn't feel right that my car somehow couldn't even turn on (meaning it was not a battery issue) after being in their shop for many days, I know for sure it could turn on when I delivered so it didn't feel right to me, they said it could be something with the electric part of the car and it will be very costly to inspect with no guarantees to find the issue.

I hope this is not happening to anyone else but if this is part of their service, it will be nice that people share so we know what is happening. I only give them 2 start because of the good costumer service but labor wise I am not impress. Believe me, I tried hard to like them after the many good comments I see here but I had the opposite experience. I hope this helps.

I think the services I received was amazing, costly, but amazing. My car runs terrific. Thank you for all you did for me including it finally passed emissions. I would recommend this shop. They kept me informed of all issues and what was needed. Unfortunately, my car had a lot of issues at the time. The work done was fine and in a quick time frame. But it is completely unbelievable to me that I had to pay $170 just for Dave's to Diagnose the issue. I have never in my life had to pay for a garage to figure out my issue without applying that fee to the overall cost of the repair. I think that is absurd. I just bought a $69 scanner to be able to figure out my own check engine codes becasue of this rip off experience. Sorry Dave/s, truth hurts but that is not cool. I'll be alerting all my Sprinter van friends of this until that policy is changed

We've taken our converted sprinter van to Dave's auto center for Oil changes, to be serviced, and for those unfortunate curveballs with repairs. Each time they've been very honest and upfront, timely and professional in their business. We have peace of mind knowing that we can continue to adventure despite the random repairs that come our way. I G beboldlittleones

3 stars because fast and effective. They did get us back on the road. My wife and I were stranded on a road trip and had our van towed here due to the 5 star reviews. Charged $842 to change 2 sensors. $616 of which was labor. We reluctantly agreed to this because we were stranded. Jeremiah could not explain labor costs or hourly shop time rate. He could also not explain the work that changing the sensors entailed to justify the labor cost other than that is what the computer program they use said to charge.

Upon later research, I discovered that the sensors are a common cause of van breakdown and are quite simple to replace. My bad for not figuring it out sooner. On the diagnostic report Dave's noted that the SRS light was on but had no suggested repair or mitigation. Only after questioning when I was checking out did Jeremiah infom me that it meant the airbags would not work in the event of a crash.

I was disappointed in this omission and chose not to have them perform any further labor on my vehicle. I am glad to see 5 star reviews and hope that my experience was isolated.

Ive got a Mercedes Sprinter Van and a Mercedes GLC 300 that I used to always take to the dealer for maintenance- When I found Dave's Auto and saw that they were Sprinter Van specialists I decided to take my van there for some repairs. Since then, I have been using Dave's exclusively for all repairs and needed maintenance for both my van and the GLC.

Not only are their prices much more reasonable than the dealer, but the crew at Dave's is extremely knowledgable and when I drop a vehicle off there I know it's being left with true professionals. If you have a Sprinter Van this place should be the first place you think of when you need some work done.

Brought my 2014 Sprinter to Dave's after a long road trip from Toronto. They were quick, extremely responsive, and ended up getting my van in quicker than expected! They were great with their recommendations and didn't make me feel pressured. Very detailed process with photos that I can bring along with me. They answered all my questions and had clear and concise explanations for the diagnosis. Really nice experience with this shop : would recommend.

Dave's Auto performed a Service A on my sprinter van and replaced the brakes fluid line. All work was done correctly and in a timely manner. My F250 diesel is 22 years old. I've lived in 5 states. Dave's is by far the best truck repair I've used. He's 30 miles away and worth the drive for the service. Service: Electrical repair

Dave's is a great place to take your car. Trustworthy and kept in contact with us about what was going on. They finished when they said they would as well. Highly recommend.

I have a 2002 Sprinter van, its diesel engine is a bit unique, however the team at Dave's has extensive experience with these rigs. There were about 4 other sprinters in the parking lot when I dropped mine off- a good sign. they were quick, responsive and cheaper than other less specialized mechanics I've used in the past. well cheaper than the Warner truck center or Mercedes dealership, but I think they do as good of work. I will continue to take my van to these guys for the rest of it's life!

Always a very thorough evaluation and repair. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. In the multiple times I've been there for various issues I've found them to be the most competent shop in the area for Powerstroke engines.

These guys were very professional. They took care of my Mercedes sprinter vans. The Mercedes dealer couldn't get to my repairs for like 6 to 7 months and I depend on these vans to run my business. My truck, which has always started effortlessly, wouldn't start all of a sudden. In depth diagnostics suggested possible leaks in the oil pressure system. DAC torn into my truck's engine and found the leaks. Truck starts right up now just like it always has for the last ten plus years. Repair was expensive but my truck is up and running great now.

I really enjoyed working with Dave's. I feel so often that I get the run-around from auto repair businesses, but at Dave's they kept me informed about every step of the process of figuring out why the check engine light was on in my 2012 Sprinter. And they didn't give up until the issue was resolved. I am grateful for that as I often travel long distances alone in this vehicle and I appreciate feeling that I won't get stuck with engine trouble. Dave's is one of the few auto repair businesses in which I have complete confidence and trust.
