In 1996 the Davenport family recognized a long-term dream by opening their first Davenport Motor Company location in Dallas, TX, near the TI complex. This was the first independent and locally owned Lexus repair center in the area, and the new shop met excellent success! As the business continued growing, they relocated the Dallas shop to its current location on Plano Parkway, and then in 2005 opened a second location in Dallas on Inwood.

This is no longer the family run business that is once was. They overcharge for everything. Do additional services that weren't asked for. I've been taking my cars there since 2004. They lost a customer today. Edit: I've talked with management and the billing has been adjusted to my satisfaction. They described the situation as a misunderstanding of what I wanted done. Davenport has been a good option for maintaining our Lexus vehicles over the years. I'll continue to go there but make sure I am very clear on what needs to be done on my vehicle.

Could not have had a better experience! Scheduled appointment 2 weeks in advance. Received numerous reminders. All the people were very helpful and friendly. Work was completed and transportation was arranged so I could get home while they did the service. One of the best car service I have ever had. Thanks to all the folks at Davenport.

Have been looking for an independent Lexus/Toyota mechanic and brought my car based on yelp and google reviews. Very friendly and welcoming. Explained the services and cost clearly. What I really liked was the text message updates throughout the day with status of the different services being done, and the text messages included a link with words/pictures/reports from the mechanic.very helpful. Received phone calls with status throughout the day too.

Cost is very reasonable, much better than Park Place Plano or Sewell. Is the lobby just as kushy as the dealer.of course not. If you want to pay a premium for the atmosphere, by all means go to the dealer. Nothing wrong with the dealer, it just includes that premium. Davenport is a great alternative based on my first visit and I plan to return for future services.

Normally I work on my own vehicle, but I didn't have time and brought my Lexus to Davenport instead. I had a lot of overdue routine maintenance done here, as well as one repair. Davenport is a great place to bring your Lexus. The technicians do good work and are very thorough. They also take pictures of the work as it is being done on your vehicle, which is nice. Prices are fair and competitive in my experience.

I am a long time customer of Davenport's Dallas location and am using Plano for the first time. As usual my car was returned to me in a timely manner and is again in perfect condition, spotless and completely reliable. Davenport picked up and returned the car to me. Communication from service, updates, recommendations and payment were all done by text message so simply. My one phone contact with Jamie regarding the needs and work to be done was made easily, thorough explanations were given and all in a friendly and professional manner.

I have been bringing my Lexus to Davenport Motors for the last two years after retiring and moving back to Texas. Great communication, all employees and techs I have had contact with have great attitudes; and Davenport Motors is honest, skilled, and have saved me money compared to a Lexus dealership in Tennessee (specifically fixing my radio antennae on my 1990 LS400). Highly recommended.

Have used Davenport Motor for several years after being referred to them by a friend who owned 2 Lexus. Have always received honest & fair service. This last visit was for replacement of a tire sensor & a 5,000 mile service/oil change. Very pleased that this year they could also handle the State Inspection for me (using a facility next door to them).

We had a good experience in our first visit to Davenport Motor Co. in Plano. Our check in process was timely and efficient. The waiting room and check in area was clean. The vehicle was ready for pick up before the estimated time for service. The services performed and results were fully discussed with me upon picking up the vehicle. The service cost was about 30-35% lower than the Dealer price for the same service.

These guys are great! I am a long time customer with several Lexus's over the years. My daughter was out of Dallas so had to take her car elsewhere. Tried upselling. I trust Davenport and brought the car in - none of the 'problems' really existed. Davenport deals straight and with integrity. Professional, dependable and they know what they are doing. I had heard positive things about Davenport Motors from other Lexus owners and finally convinced my wife to let me try them out when her car needed servicing. When I arrived they were very busy because many in the front office were out sick, but Dave and Daniel were filling in and were very professional and helpful. The work was completed timely and for a fair price. I plan to come back again in the future.

Excellent service! American owned and operated, Randy is a book of knowledge knows everything about Lexus. He was very informative with servicing my RX300. Greg was my technician he did an excellent job. And they even washed and detailed my Lexus. They also provided a loaner car at no charge. There technicians ONLY work on Lexus and Toyota. Couldn't be more satisfied!

These guys are GREAT. Randy is a straight shooter. My 2008 Lexus RX 400h (hybrid) overheated several times this week. As I was trying to decide where to take it, Randy warned me about driving it hot because it could damage the hybrid system/batteries. I used a convenient key drop at his shop and he called me before 9a the next day. He told me that I had not damaged the hybrid system.

He could have easily told me that it was damaged and costly to repair but that is not how he does business. It turned out to be cooling fan and radiator issues. They fixed it same day at a fair price. They surprised me by washing the car before returning. My wife likes to take this car to the dealership. I doubt that is where it is going in the future. Thanks to Randy and the crew.

I think most people go to an independent to get dealer quality work at prices that are not dealer prices. Davenport is price wise very close to what the dealer charges and in some cases charge more than the dealer. Luckily I only had one thing done here before I discovered how close they are in price. Oh I also had a cabin air filter put in which they put in filters for free but I did cross check the filter cost and they charged me more for the filter than the parts counter at the dealer would charge me. If you hate the dealer go here otherwise there are better options out there.

After Park Place negated to disclose recalls on my Lexus SUV, even after inquiring about such, I turned to Davenport as an alternative to service my vehicle. Randy was extremely helpful and informative! He made sure my car was well serviced, returned clean, and kept us up to date on its progress in the shop. I only wish I had known about Davenport earlier and could have circumnavigated issues not addressed at the above Lexus dealership. Great, honest customer service like the old days! Highly recommended!

Stopped by yesterday with two issues thinking I would need to drop the car off. Dane told me to sit down in their nice lobby area and in about 30 minutes, he came to me with my keys and had diagnosed and fixed both items! Fast, Fair, and Friendly.not what one would normally find in such a situation. I WILL be taking my Lexus ES 330 there for all needed service. You should too!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Davenport Motor Company! Randy is EXCEPTIONAL at what he does--he has consistently gone above and beyond to understand (and meet!) my individual needs as a customer, is super straight-forward when it comes to discussing necessary vs. ideal maintenace/repairs, and is just a genuinely nice guy. They are patient in explaining suggested repairs (Randy and one of his team members invited me into the shop & walked me through the workings of my car piece-by-piece so I could understand), and are not pushy whatsoever.

I feel at ease & know I am in good hands when it comes to keeping my "'Ol Faithful" Lexus running safely. You see, for someone who has been taken advantage of by other auto repair/maintenance providers, Davenport is a godsend--they've treated me like family. Each time I've been, I see that all of their patrons receive this same level of courtesy and respect, and that frankly is something you just don't see often enough. Thankful to have stumbled upon this gem, and will be a loyal customer for years to come!

Price is high. Diagnose was on point. However, the detail/car wash crew stole my $40 phone mount from pearlauto! Beware if you leave any valuables in the car.

I have been here twice now and have been extremely happy with their work and customer service. I had a very small issue that wasn't addressed and without even a complaint they fixed it immediately (free of charge). Randy really makes sure the customer is happy. I love everything about this place. We live in NE Dallas, and it's absolutely worth the roughly 30 minute drive to get here. The service is wonderful and quick, the waiting room and restrooms are clean, and the sodas and water are cold. Randy is amazing. He's very knowledgeable without being arrogant or condescending. I've only ever had him speak to me with total respect, and only heard him speak to other customers, staff and contractors kindly and respectfully. Randy has worked with me to be sure my Prius gets the work it needs, within my budget. I'm confident that if he says something needs to be done then it's legitimate, because he won't hesitate to also tell me when something isn't as vital and can be scheduled for another time.

I 100% recommend this business. If I absolutely had to for something urgent, I would go to a closer Davenport, but Randy, the mechanics (today I had Greg taking care of my car), and Davenport Colleyville have definitely earned my loyalty. Thank you all!

Thank you for an amazing detail of my very dirty BMW 535i. After four years of driving around kids, my beautiful leather seats were a deplorable shade of dirt. Hector brought them back to a thing of beauty. The rest of the car is sparkling clean, and every bit of dust, leftover bits of Chik-fil-A, scary things under the seat are now things of the past.

Opening up the hood, the engine block is pristine clean and a marvel to behold. Every wheel rim is immaculately clean, unlike any regular car wash job. It was also extremely convenient to get my car inspected during this process. No longer do I crave a new clean car when mine looks so stunningly gorgeous! Thank you Davenport Motor Company for a perfectly executed job!

Quality service and workmanship. Very honest group of people who will tell you exactly what is wrong and not charge you for items that "might" need to be done. Very refreshing to find an honest auto repair shop. I realize that is an oxymoron but the proof is in a visit. Less expensive then the local Lexus and Toyota's dealers. Try to go on Friday when the manager's wife provides home made baked goods.

Randy was great! He was completely open and honest about what to expect. I took my 2002 IS300 which had given me trouble for years and none of the shops that I had gone in Colorado could fix. Finally, after a google search and a couple of reviews, I decided to give DMC of Colleyville a shot. I know I made the a good decision because they were not only able to fix my car, but the level AND amount of detail that they focused while my car was in the shop is unmatched. NOT EVEN by the "fanciest" of dealerships! Edit: Spelling
