Be very careful when using Transtar. Their warranty is laterally not worth the paper it's printed on. What you order and what you get are often way off. Dealing with them has been nothing but a disappointment. There are several other suppliers out there. I'd suggest finding WIT, Global, Buffalo Engine, Fatsco, etc. Anybody but Transtar.

They really don't deal with the general public I was told as they are more of wholesale company but they do sell parts retail to the public for the wholesale price. I found them watching a youtube video of someone using their parts. The customer service was outstanding from the online chat to the customer service counter at this location. I purchased a Torque converter for a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. 4 years or 100K mile warranty sold me on the part.

They have a core fee and I returned the core for a refund along with another part I didn't need. All with no problems. Very easy process. I highly recommend this company! Absolutely a pleasure to deal with! Thank you everyone at Transtar!

Am not impressed! They refuse to answer their phones. When a call does go through you get a messaging service telling you that all representatives are on calls and will call back and they never do. They approved my transmission replacement and sent it to the dealership doing repairs but know not answering the calls to let the dealership what is being covered as far as parts and labor costs. My car is done and ready and I can't get it because the dealership can not get a response from them on the covering cost. They will not get my business again.

Terrible experience, bought rebuild kit A74531CAK on ebay, shipped from this location. Box was opened missing parts, looks nothing like the picture. And to make it worse the parts are all beat up! They refuse to send me a replacement right away. It's going to be a long drug out process to resolve and send back their damaged good, not acceptable transtar!

Transtar Transmissions Buyers Beware! This should be a definite No Stars! 3 transmissions in less than 3 years totaling only 24 K miles. The last one when it was replaced Transtar said they would warranty if I had the TCM flashed and I did one better replaced it with a new one and it died with only 5 k miles 7 months old and 6 months out of the 3 year original warranty.

That's the good news! Last month our family was heading to Arizona for vacation towing our 5th wheel when we broke down 10 hours away from home in Palm dessert, after a $2400 combined tow to a authorized Transtar repair facility 110 miles away I called Transtar and they authorized them to pull the pan and send them pictures, this was on Friday and Monday morning the Pictures were sent and Transtar informed the shop that a Replacement Transmission would be there in 2 days.

Two days passed and the shop tried to call Transtar to see were the Transmission was and they had already closed back east so they called Thursday morning and were informed that they canceled the transmission do to it was no longer in warranty. I had already lost the first week of our 2 week vacation due to Transtar dragging us along with lies and deceit and causing us to incurred $300 in housing for the week.

We were able to order a Jasper Quality Transmission that came in the next day and back on the road the next day. When I got back home I contacted Transtar to complain about there unprofessional protocol and I would have appreciated them day one telling me to go pound sand and deal with it myself instead of ruining half my families vacation. I requested to be reimbursed for my uncalled for $300 housing cost for the 6 days.

I talked to Barb and she said that she would check into it and call me back, when I didn't hear from her in 5 days I called and spoke to her so called supervisor Tammie and she apologized and said that she would talk to her supervisor and get right back to me. Well 4 days later I called again and spoke to Barb again and she stated she was waiting to hear back from the warranty department, I then requested to speak to her Supervisor and she assured me he would call me immediately.30 - 45 minutes and of course that did not happen. Very Very Shady business and very Poor quality Transmissions.

As a small business owner, I valued the quality of parts distributed by Transtar Industries, until I needed to return a small order. I returned the order back on July 10, 2017 before 10am. Here we are August 7, 2017 and no one in the accounting office can tell me when I can expect my refund. They have changed the date 4 times. A lack of professionalism was demonstrated by there employee, A.Turner, on July 31, 2017.

I am certain that I could not order parts and pay based upon the sole convenience of by business. Thank you Transtar Industries for revealing your lack of care and respect for your customer!

Bought my transmission for my MR2 turbo in February 2016 when it arrived it was the wrong one. It took them a month to send the right one so my car sat in pieces while they dragged their feet. Finally in April I got the right one and thought all was good. Nope in a very short three weeks the transmission started making a clicking noise. Took it back to they transmission shop and they checked it out and said it was in the case of the transmission and Transtar would need to replace it.

The transmission shop opened a claim with Transtar said it would be taken care of. After waiting now for three months I still have no car, no working transmission, and they have yet to offer a solution. So if you want a transmission that works you would be better off putting your money in a local business that you can talk to face to face if there is a problem because once these people get your money they write you off.

I will never do business with these guys again. I bought a transmission from them and 9 months later it went out on me. They replaced it under the 3 year/ 100k miles warranty that I purchased. That transmission went out on me last month and they won't do anything with this one. They said the warranty does not start over with the replacement. They don't stand by their warranties and now I'm the one left out.

I can't get a response from anyone in their corporate offices. If you're going to spend over $4k for a transmission then it should last more than 3 years. Give your money to someone's else who stands by their product and will respond to you.

Buyer beware this company thinks it has the market cornered and they don't care about the little guy. we started a minaroty owned business in 2013 and made it. we spent over 10,000 dollars with tis company last year the first year in business and have already spent over 12,000 with them in 2014 that's how much business has grown and now they have "cut me off " because I will not pay for transmission they sold me that was no good.

They have not paid the warranty claim on the transmission and also had issues with other parts they have not made good now they wont sell to me even cod over less than 2100.00 dollars owed so buyer beware they really don't care so this woman owned business will seek others out and continue on with out transtars help!
