Ever since Covid it seems more difficult than ever finding good workers and well run businesses. Curt's Service is that exception. Everything was straight forward, the shop was well staffed and the owner's obvious pride in upkeep is welcoming. I was lucky enough this time that the work came in under estimate. "Little" things like a free ride home after a drop off go far for me as I live alone.

My last shop out and refused and their "waiting room" was a row of chairs in the same room as the office, write up counter and cashier. The prices were similar but now I feel I'm getting more for my money.

I took my 2000 Toyota Avalon in to Curt's to be diagnosed. I explained that car was leaking oil from the valve cover gaskets and I wanted to get a repair estimate so I could compare repair costs against the car's value. (At 22 years old, the car's value is quite low even in pandemic inflated pricing.). Upon hearing this the shop not only diagnosed and estimated the leak, but did a test drive and, brake and suspension analysis in order to give me a more complete picture of the cost of bringing it up to speed.

They could have given me a tap dance about the value of the car vs. repair costs and tried to talk me into spending the money, but instead were straight with me and let me know that it probably wasn't worth it. In addition they only charged about half of what they estimated the diagnosis alone would cost. I really appreciate the honesty they showed in our interaction. I had heard great things about Curt's and was not disappointed. I'll use their shop again in the future. Thanks again!

Phenomenal service! I brought my car here for a very strange power steering issue. I took it to 2 other shops including the dealer and none of them could fix it. These guys got it taken care of an had amazing communication. They take pictures of your vehicle and report any problems found during their through inspection. They only recommend extra service in your car, they did not try to rack up my bill or sell me stuff I didn't want. They were very respectful and I do not understand why this place only has 3.5 stars. Must be a bunch of Karens.

I was recommended to Curt's via a friend, and this is my 2nd time going to them. They are honest, expeditious, knowledgeable and very friendly. I love the online scheduler with a phone call/text follow up to confirm. I love that the waiting room has WiFi, so I can work while I wait. So far, I feel very comforted knowing that if something goes wrong with my vehicle, they will take care of me and I am in good hands!

Curt's is thorough and quick! I honestly couldn't believe how quickly they were able to run diagnostics on my issues and give me estimates. I also appreciated their "taxi service" and overall transparency. I never felt taken advantage of either. Highly recommend! Service: Brakes

Because I drive a Honda (sorry, Detroit), she seldom needs repairs. This was just a routine oil change to keep her healthy. But I went with full confidence that the mechanics at Curt's would also check her over to be sure she was AOk. I love going to Curt's. Not only are they competent, and thorough and fairly priced, the people who work there are the best. I even got a referral to a nearby diner where I enjoyed a great breakfast while I waited!

They knew how to fix an electrical problem on my Audi Convertible. Most shops are bad with convertibles or cannot work on German cars. They even gave me a loaner car while mine was getting worked on.

Exceptional customer service. Great communication, transparency. Highly recommend! Came in to replace all 4 tires after I noticed a small leak and nail. Instead, the technician was able to patch up the tire saving me money. I also opted to check my alignment. After an initial reading that showed I needed to pay the $100ish to align all wheels, the Curt's team verified their measurement by driving the vehicle and re measuring. The second measurement came back OK - saving me more money.

I've taken my VW to Curt's twice now and both times they've done exceptional jobs. They have great customer service and keep you in the loop during the process of inspecting/fixing your vehicle. They even send you a link that provides a detailed report with their findings with pictures included. If your car needs some fixing, I recommend taking it to Curt's Service!

I was a new customer. I had my car towed in, but had never actually been there myself. The next morning I got a text message with their diagnosis, planned repair, and a few options to choose from. For example, I had 2 tires that needed to be replaced urgently and the other 2 could probably wait a few months. The web form let me choose to approve just the 2, or all 4.

The prices quotes included total charges for things like valve seems, balancing, and waste tire disposal. I approved all 4, plus replacing the spare tire hoist which was so rusted the spare tire was stuck in place. Since I knew the spare was 14 years old, I was concerned about tire rot, what I could see of the spare wheel was coated in rust. So I authorized replacing the hoist, spare tire, and the wheel as well.

Near the end of the day they told me they'd been able to fix the tire hoist, got the old spare off and cleaned it up. And both the tire and wheel looked in good shape. By then they had already received the new spare tire and wheel, and give me the choice of replacing it anyway, just because the old ones were so old. I declined, and ended up spending less than I'd anticipated.

The car drives well, the new tires look good, and I happy with the price. I am especially pleased with their web-based system that could show me what they found, and give me a few options for fixing them. It even had a built-in messaging system, so they and I could type questions back and forth. That was MICH more convenient that a phone call. The icing on the cake!

They have little lock boxes for keys. So even though I couldn't get there during business hours, they were able to leave my keys behind a combination lock box pictures here.

I took my 1967 Mustang to Curt's, again, since they have done excellent work in the past. Although I ended up having more done than I originally had in mind, I feel is if I'm driving a brand new car again. Things deteriorate slowly and you done notice them going bad. They did a thorough check and "fixed" a lot of things that needed to be looked.

I don't feel they went "fishing", but that inspected the car and let me know what they suggested be done, but my option to do so. At the end I was asked if I wanted the car "detailed". I said no, since I felt I was already putting a lot of money on the table, but my wife said she'd pay for it for "Father's Day", I must say the results are much better than I ever expected.

Even our son, who is fanatical about clean vehicles, was taken aback when I pulled into his driveway. He must have circled the car three times taking in the scene. I won't call out specific names names only because I don't want miss anyone. So, thanks to the crew at at Curt's's for a job well done!. You'll be seeing me again.

I paid $ 106 for checking my car. Next day they called me and told me that needs only water pump and gas kit. 2 weeks later car was not working properly. When I took it to their shop to ask them about what happened now. This time he asked me $150 for checking. 2 days later they told me that it needs head gasket which he didn't told me on the first time checking the car. I am still unsatisfied with their work. I am definitely not gonna recommend anyone to go to that shop.

I took my BMW there based on a recommendation. After spending $4000 on why my car was running rough, I get it back and as I'm driving home my engine seized up. Talked with the So called GM and he was suppose to let me know if they would restore some on if money, but he's been dodging my calls. The place looks nice but DONT GO THERE FOR SERVICE!

I took my truck here for an electrical repair and a headlight out with broken wires and a back up camera service was fantastic they did the job they promised in a timely matter and all of the work was well worth the price. I was expecting to to pay a lot more. Highly recommend this place for any kind of electrical work

These guys deserve WAY more than 3.5 stars. They are 5 stars all the way. I have my Maserati serviced here for brakes and they did an incredible job. If you have a high end car, this is the place to go. The guys up front were very professional from the first phone call right through handing me my keys. The waiting room is the cleanest and nicest of any automotive repair shop I've ever set foot in.

Everything about this place is immaculate! Even the garage itself. Most dealers can't even keep pace with these guys. Curt run's a great ship over there and he and his team deserve your business. They definitely have me and my car for life. Really appreciate the hard work, friendly staff and clean environment.

1st off they were the only local service place I could find to work on a hybrid transmission. They then called me to tell me it was not the transmission. I could have easily said it wasn't taken me for a lot of money but didn't. It turned out to be a cable that needed to be replaced and would be fairly time intensive but half the price of what a transmission would be.

I received an excellent online review of all current issues with the vehicle, what should be replaced, what could wait, and what was fine. I then went to pick up the car and it turned out to be half of what they had qouted me. Everybody working there was super friendly and helpful, the customer service area is very clean, and I will be taking all of my vehicles here from now on.

Had major repairs done on wife's car and mine. Greg helped save us as much as he could, and even supplied us with a loaner vehicle while our cars were kept over the weekend--and then cleaned both cars up very nicely. Price is a bit steep, but they do good work.

I went to Curt's Service today after making a same day appointment. I had purchased two new tires from Wal-Mart and needed someone to install them along with two new lug nuts on my 2002 Ford Explorer. Curt picked up the phone when I called to make an appointment, got me in the same day, and was reasonably priced $55.54 to complete the job. I'm very pleased with the job and quick service.

By far the best service I have ever received. Let me tell you something: I work as a physician and I have crazy work hours. Curt's service have accommodated my requests all the time. One time I dropped the car on a weekend, dropped the keys by the door box and went to the airport. They are always on top of their game. They are fair and honest. Their technicians are very knowledgeable. So far my car has been doing great and I have Curt's service to thank for.

I have had multiple experiences on multiple vehicles at Curt's and I have always been pleased with the service, prices and honesty. Highly recommend. The only thing I would suggest is that having a couple late nights a week would be super convenient.

Since they do not disclose the price of diagnostics when you hand the car over I'll put what I experienced here. Front-end inspection - $118 Brake Inspection - $71 Total - $189 And this is no repairs done. Just the time it takes them to drive it around the block and take a peek underneath. I understand you must be paid for labor, however, this is excessive. It is a huge disappointment to be handed a $220 bill when the only thing you actually had done was an oil change.

Was on a cross country road trip with a Mercedes Sprinter Van that I just bought from a bankruptcy auction. It was showing a engine light and was running rough. I called ahead and asked if they could squeeze me in to have a look as I still had many thousand miles to drive and only a few days to do it in. I dropped the car off and before I got back from grabbing a bit to eat down the road they called and said the car was ready to go.

They pulled all the engine codes and reset the computer. They said I should be fun to keep going now. The Van is running better and I'm way more confident with so many miles still ahead of me. Price was fair and service was quick and friendly. Thank you guys!

"Overpriced and Slow turn-around" I drive an American 4-cylinder Sedan. I took my car to Curt's to get some work done (they came HIGHLY recommended). However, after Paying the TAB & driving away. it couldn't shake the feeling that i just got Ripped Off. On a Hunch, i took my car over to a local Belle Tire (Madison Heights, 12 & Dequindre) and had them give me a Blind Quote for the Same Work.

I believe The Numbers speak for themselves: Replace Fuel Pump (Labor): Curts: $157 Bell Tire: $84 Four Wheel Alignment (Labor): Curts: $129. Bell Tire: $74.90 Replace Front Upper Ball Joint & Control Arm (Labor): Curts: $263 Bell Tire: $60 for the ball joint (i had seen enough at this point; didn't bother asking about the control arm.) Level 3 Engine Diagnostic (ie: troubleshoot the problem): Curts: $189. (Fyi: NOT PRO-RATED; Even if you agree to let them do the repairs).

Initial Thoughts: These guys are CRAZY Expensive. These guys are also S L O W: I dropped off my Car Thursday (11am). They called later, gave me the diagnosis, and said the job would be done by Friday. The Reality: My car wasn't ready until the following Monday @ 4:45pm. The One Positive: It appears that their "Level 3 Engine Diagnostic" correctly identified my fuel-pump as the source of my issue.

My car now starts quickly; So at least the Quality of Work performed by Curt's technicians was Satisfactory. FINAL VERDICT: i will NOT be returning to Curt's; NOR will i recommend them to any of my friends. It should be noted, however, my Decision is NOT due to their Pricey, Hourly Rate. My Primary Reason for the 2-Star review is their "Level 3 Engine Diagnostic".

This "$189 diagnostic fee" is Non-Refundable. Curt's does Not Pro-Rate the cost of the Diagnosis; even after you agree to let them make the repairs. I found their policy on this matter to be. G r e e d y. I understand TIME is MONEY. but even your typical DEALER will pro-Rate the Diagnosis Fee if you let them do the work. Not the Case at this Establishment. I felt obligated to Register, Setup a YELP account, and share my Experience. I hope the $189 was worth it.
