Craigs Car Care

First time using a service shop that was not part of the dealership where our vehicle was purchased. Making the appointment was easy and confirmation was received in advance. Arrived shortly after 7am and was told they had a large queue but would do their best to complete same-day maintenance. 6 hours later, received the inspection report, followed by a call to confirm which services I'd like performed.

Along with the scheduled maintenance, a coolant repair item was added. 3 hours later (4pm) I received a call that our vehicle was ready. We took it on a quick out-of-town road trip the day after and it has been driving great! The price paid, while not overly competitive, was fair and I would trust Craig's with my business again in the future.

Took car in for lots of repair services. They were honest, friendly, and I trusted them to make the repairs in a timely manner and not oversell anything. They exceeded those expectations.

After a bad experience at the dealer it was refreshing to have a good experience at Craigs Car Care - great communication on problems found including pictures and readings found during troubleshooting that made me feel comfortable that root cause was found.

These folks are my Go To for all the service on my older Toyotas ( 3 ). They offer a great diagnostic review with pictures and a detailed description of the work they recommend. Matt, Craig and the gang are personable, honest and make you feel like you are dong business with a neighbor! I'd like to welcome Thad to the crew, as a new master mech, he is certainly an awesome addition to the Craig's Team. Remember to mention his name when you head in.

They are my go-to mechanic, and the following is just one reason why I continue to get stuff fixed here: my exhaust pipe broke underneath my vehicle, and they recommended a specific muffler shop who could do the right welding. They could have tried to scam me out of a few thousand for an expensive replacement of most of the exhaust system, but instead it costed me less than 50 dollars at another place of business. This kind of honest service is appreciated.

From start to finish it was an awesome experience. They made it simple to drop the car off the night before. Work was performed in a timely manner. Very professional experience. Upon drop-off, I received a preliminary diagnosis which was soon validated with tests/pictures which were undisputable evidence of deteriorated parts. Craig and his team were quick to answer my questions and most important for me.they were honest. Grateful for the service and rapid repair to get me back on the road!

Craig's Car Care are true professionals. I had some difficult issues with my car and they worked with me to isolate the problem and explain in plain language, the problem and the process to fix it. They gave me a quote and did not deviate from it. I appreciate their service and how they will tell you what should be fixed immediately verses what can wait. I have taken 6 of our family's cars there over the years.

I dropped off my car at Craig's Car Care; they performed an immediate evaluation and returned to me the items that needed repair and the cost for such repairs. I took my truck in for 2 specific problems and neither was fixed. I had some squeeking/rattling and it is still there and headlight assembly needed to be replaced. The 2nd issue the headlight assembly i decided not to fix through them because they wanted $400 plus for the part alone when you can purchase them pretty much anywhere online for a max of $180.

They also told me that they would have to pull the front bumper off so it was labor intensive which isn't true. You don't need to pull the front bumper completely off. I had the brake fluid exchanged which they charged me about $30-50 over what I would've paid at other shops. They wanted $156 to replace cover and filter for cabin air filter which i can buy from Nissan for both for less than $50. Takes 2 minutes to put in. Rear differential service they wanted $243 for and I took it to another local shop and paid $120 for it.

They wanted to replace inner fender (truck has a lift on it so it was modified on purpose) and wanted $265 when you can buy it for $52 and its not that hard to install. Would i use them again, in short no because they are very much so overpriced on their parts. UPDATE: in response to the owners comment: " we were glad to pick me up and drop me off?" You didn't do either. I had a ride to get me when I dropped it off and I had a ride when I pick my truck up. Still not fixed. Lies!

My driver's side taillight cracked and water seeped in and shorted out the entire assembly. I needed to get a replacement installed. I called for an estimate and they said they could not give me an estimate over the phone, that I would need to bring my car in and have them do a full diagnostic to see if anything else was wrong with the car. They also said I couldn't bring in my own part, that they could only use theirs and wouldn't tell me how much they'd charge for that part. I'll take my business elsewhere.

I had them change my brake pads and they turned my rotors. They did the work on the car fine and the labor costs are fair, but they significantly mark up the cost of their parts. They get all of their parts from Napa auto and they almost double to cost. $70 retail cost for brake pads they charged me $130 for them. And if they have a deal with Napa auto parts they are probably not paying retail.

I would have been better off buying all the parts myself. When asked about this they didn't care, I think they assume people don't look and where they are getting theirs parts and take advantage of that. I would hate to see how much they mark up the costs of other parts.

The best general repair facility in Collin County. Honest, professional and Craig has the best technicians. If you want repairs and service done right the first time, this is the place to go.

These guys are straight forward they won't push you to get any work done but they will advise you as.to.what your car.needs. If you want to take.care.od.yoir.xar.and.get.it.dojw.tjw.rihht.way the first time then this is the place.to.get.yoir car serviced. Matt and Brian are honest and care for.your.buainess. they aren't the cheapest or fastest service but they are thorough.

The have a 3 year warranty on the parts and services they perform so you know if it's not done right or breaks you can bring it back and they will take care of it. It's a small private business and they really care and want you to be happy.

This is a great mechanic shop they're fast and affordable. They will stand by their work and explain everything down to the finest detail. I can't speak highly enough to their great work and attention to customer care.

The guys at Craig's Car Care did a great job diagnosing and fixing the issue I was having with my WRX. They were great to work with, very informative and were very communicative throughout the whole process (including pictures, diagnostics etc). Jaime was the technician that worked on my car and he did a great job figuring out the issue and then making the repairs.

It was such a relief to find a local car repair shop. My Ford Expedition was making a strange noise and I was not sure of the reason. They gave my car a thorough checkup and let me know the status of every area. They did not try to oversell me but let me know what needed to be done for the noise and some small maintenance items that would save me from a second trip for repairs or my car breaking down.

There was absolutely no pressure but I felt like they were willing and able to help. No more noises! A huge bonus was they provided me with a loaner car for the day so I didn't have to stress about getting back to work or picking up my kids from school.

This is a great place to get your car worked on. They built the business on honesty which is hard to find in the car repair business. They take photos of everything and they do a great job documenting repairs.

I've always maintained that they're probably not the cheapest shop in town, but I've never questioned the quality of their work and their commitment to serving me. Great bunch of down to earth guys that I really appreciate.

Car care is ok and nothing earth shattering. It costed me about $200 to have a problem diagnosed and other car care facilities did this for free in less than 15min. Expensive oil changes and regular maintenance items like filter changes etc., I went to this place upon referral from a friend but honestly when I walked out I wasn't impressed. They sure fixed the problem, are professional and all that routine stuff but definitely not someone I would keep going back.

May be my expectations were high based on reviews online and my feedback from friend but I wasn't wowed with anything leave alone price and I say this in comparison with other auto shops I use

I was given a VERY thorough vehicle inspection of all systems, not just the braking system that I took it in for. I was also provided video and text updates before and after work was performed.

I needed some minor work done on our Jeep. They were fast, efficient and very reasonably priced. They could have charged me more based on one of the issues I told them about was a simple fix/user error. I really had a great experience and would highly recommend.

This place was new and just down the road so we gave them a try. They did great work!

I replaced some suspension parts on my MB E320 and took it to these guys for a front end alignment. When I got it back, it was far worse that when I brought it in. There was also a loud "BAM" when I would turn the steering wheel to the limit. I took it back, explaining that the alignment was terrible and there was a popping noise that was not there before.

After a second look, I was told that the popping noise was most likely coming from my brake pads and that they pads I had on there might not be the right ones (even though they have been fine for about two years now). He also indicated that he didn't get too deep into it because "there was too much plastic to take off" referring to the engine shield. Dissatisfied with their answer, I took it to another shop where I was told that the upper control arms were loose. Tightened a couple of nuts and all is good now. Too bad the first guy didn't have more initiative to do a good job.

While I no longer work for Craig's they will continue to be my go to place for service and repairs as I know the entire staff and their values very well.

Craig's Car Care is a great repair shop that helps me maintain my car and keep up with me services. They are fair and honest not suggesting services or repairs that are not necessary.

New to the area and dropped my car off at Craig's on Monday afternoon about 2pm due to an engine light being on. Having no experience with this shop and *not* being told otherwise, I assumed I'd hear from them Tuesday morning at the latest with a diagnosis and estimate as has been my experience with every other automotive shop With which I've done business.

At 3pm Tuesday, having not heard from them, I called them. They couldn't provide a status on my car but did inform me, at this time, that they were very busy and I could expect to hear from them later that afternoon or Wednesday morning. At 3pm Wednesday, having not heard from them yet again, I called in yet again and was told that they still had no information for me but that I would hear from them Thursday morning. You'd think an apology would be forthcoming at this point, but you'd be wrong. Having lost faith in their ability to keep their word, much less provide quality service I decided to go get my car back.

Upon arriving to pick up my car, I was greeted by a clearly irritated and rude employee who claimed, falsely, that he'd heard another employee tell me that they were very busy when I dropped my car off Monday implying that I was the one being unreasonable. Besides being patently false, my main issue was not with the excessive time they were taking to simply diagnose the problem, though 2+ days seems like more than enough, but rather with the utter lack of communication from them regarding the status of my car. Don't expect me to be ultra patient if you're not willing to communicate at all. TLDR: picked up my car with no work having been done because they couldn't diagnose the problem despite having the vehicle for 2+ days.

Craigs is a little more pricey than others but there is a reason why. They do quality work. If you want a quick fix at a low cost not the place. But if you want it fixed right and have peace of mind that the work was done properly. Go see these guys.
