I had $6400 worth of front end damage after hitting a deer. After repairs we had two issue. Cataldo discovered the car needed another part which they got promptly and installed it. The other problem was the radar calibration that Spitzer Honda did. Cataldo's set up appointment and Spitzer got it right the second time. Car is like new. Everyone at Cataldo's were courteous, helpful and professional. Could not be more pleased.

Got my hair done a few months ago and forgot to put a review. I have incredibly thick hair and was recommended I get it thinned out. It looked fine styled but when it wasn't, the bottom layer of my hair looked really frayed after, probably because of the thinning. It still looks really frayed to this day. Service: Hairstyling

Not sure why it has taken me so long to write a Google review of this salon - I've only been a patron for close to 30 year! I think it's because I never take photos I think my loyalty over such a long time, (pretty much since I arrived in Canberra when a colleague recommended them), speaks for itself. It really is a family business and I think many long term customers feel part of an extended family.
Staff and clients are treated with respect and this is really important. The atmosphere is always friendly yet highly professional. The hairstylists are highly trained and the salon has won many awards over the years. My personal experience has been with Angelo Cataldo and his daughter Claudia. Both are excellent and I have always been happy with my haircut and styles as they have changed over the years. I have many, many friends who are equally happy with their years of experience at Cataldo's. Really, they are all great and I highly recommend them.

Worst experience I have ever had at a salon. I had left work early for my appointment, after explaining what I wanted with my my hair, 3 stylist went to the back and decided that they did not have the skills to achieve a balayage. I booked this appointment 2 months ago and they made me feel horrible. I left the salon in tears because they refused to do anything with my hair. Would honestly not recommend this salon to anyone.

I went to this salon for the first time last year after finding them on "the best hairdressers in Canberra" articles and I'm still having traumatic flashbacks. It took them 3+ hours and cost what a high end salon would, for me to go home and cry my eyes out after what they did to my hair. I showed them a photo of what I wanted (soft blonde balyage on light brown hair) and was left with orangey-yellow uneven tips and extremely poorly styled curls.
When I raised my concerns, I was told that they couldn't do what was on the photo because it would take several visits (which was confirmed by another hairdresser to be false and incorrect information when they corrected what this salon did) and was only given a 10% discount on styling. I couldn't believe they let me walk out of their salon looking like this. See attached photo. There are so many other salons in Canberra that are so much better- don't waste your time or money here. So sad.

Was lucky enough to have my hair coloured, cut and styled by Claudia at Cataldo's Salon. Not only did she do an incredible job but she was super friendly and funny - we had a good laugh about things while she did my hair. Claudia was efficient but thorough, and did exactly what I asked for, She also recommended things she thought would complement the look. The salon is lovely and the experience was relaxing. Would absolutely go here again!

Worst body shop ever! Spent tens of thousands at that shop over several years only to have their work be faulty and not honor their warrantee. The paint started flaking off and I was told too bad. Find another shop! The work is inferior and they do not stand behind the work. You will only end up going elsewhere to correct their mistakes later!

We took my wife's car to Cataldo's collision in Dubois Pa. in mid May of 2019 after a right hand front end collision. We received the car back approximately 5 days later. After receiving the car back my wife noticed the windshield washer did not work properly. The washer fluid will only spray on to the windshield about 4 inches from the bottom of the windshield and has very little force or pressure behind it, definitely not the same as before the accident which it had plenty of force and would spray half way up the windshield.
I returned to Cataldo's collision to see if they replaced the washer pump along with the damaged windshield washer reservoir. I was told they did not replace the pump and that they felt the pump was working "good enough" and they were not going to do anything about it, I explained that I felt the pump was not working correct and would be a safety factor I then asked John ( the manager) if I could speak to the owner or have the owners phone number in order make him aware of my concerns, I was told. NO.
I also asked for the insurance adjusters phone number to which I was also told NO. I informed John (the manager) that I disapproved of his business practices and I would clearly not be using their services again, at which point I was asked to leave. So if you want to be treated as if you are a second rate customer and have your vehicle repaired just "good enough" then go to Cataldo's collision in Dubois. or you could do as I will do and take it somewhere that will fix it properly and NOT just "good enough"

I wouldn't advise going here. My daughter is in jail, because one of the employees had given her drugs/did drugs with her. She is responsible for her own actions however, I find it concerning this place of business would allow active drug users to work on Vehicles, I wouldn't expect them to carefully do their jobs as they should. If they have one employee working high they probably have half their employees also working high.
I shared my concern and I haven't received any type of reply back indicating that they will even consider my concern and drug test their employees. If you want your family vehicle to be worked on by someone who is possibly intoxicated be my guest
