My father was a car lover who trusted his mechanic as much as he trusted his doctor. Now I can say the same about John at Car Kings. He's all about honest, friendly customer service and expert car repair. Unlike some mechanics, he doesn't push repairs on you earlier than you need them. If you need more repairs than you expected (it happens), he helps you prioritize them to soften the blow.

He's no pressure. He's saved me tickets by telling me my front plate was missing and my registration was expired. His staff has given me rides back home when I drop my car off. He even gave my son free advice on which car to buy. This is personalized service you rarely see today. If I looked hard, I could probably find a cheaper mechanic, but I won't find a more honest one. That matters to me. I won't go to anywhere but Car Kings.

Highly RECOMMEND. John & the Staff at CAR KINGS KNOW Emissions. I had an old car w/ a few problems -- in & out of the Dealership, lots of time, follow-ups, but no answer. Ive been going to Car Kings for over 20 years and they are honest and professional. They are not the cheapest Mechanic out there, but you get what you pay for. They alway tell you what needs to be repaired. They alway go above and beyond and they stand behind their work. Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine tuning, Electrical, Wheel alignment, Tires, Brakes, Air conditioning, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I came here because my Mercedes Benz CLA250 needed an A service and also because my car had been making a noise. I was advised that for my A service they would be changing the oil, checking the brakes, and the tires. They changed the oil and also performed a diagnostic on my car for the noise. They told me that the noise was the result of dirty air cabin filters and recommended I replace them so I advised them to switch out the filters.

They also recommended that I rotate my tires which I advised them to do as well. As a result, they moved the tires that were on the rear of the car to the front and my front tires to the rear. It was only after they rotated the tires and I arrived to pick up my car that I was told that one of my tires needed to be changed. The tire that needed to be changed was previously on the rear of my car but had been rotated to the front after the shop completed the tire rotation.

Any tire professional knows that newer tires should be placed on the rear of the car. In light of this, it really wasn't appropriate for them to recommend a tire rotation since the tire that was initially on the rear of my vehicle will need to be replaced anyway. I find it extremely convenient that they only told me about the tire needing to be replaced after they went ahead and performed the tire rotation.

Another thing I should note is that my car is still making the same noise after they told me it was gone after changing the cabin filters. They did offer to look at my car again, but after all this, I'm not convinced that this place is trustworthy. The mechanics I dealt with did all seem personable but I unfortunately do not think I'll be back.

I have used car kings for years, though they always charge the most money I have never had to question the work done up until recently. They installed a cover under my car when came off a few months later and told me "oh you don't really need it anyways" and right after that another part of the undercarriage came apart and apparently to them that was my fault.

This left me with no car for the whole weekend and they claim it was a courtesy for them to secure the part that came down. Note the other part was never replaced because I "don't need it " I'm not sure if ownership changed or what but I don't intent of going back here again. I run a car rental company and simply need a trust worthy and profesional mechanic not looking to get over on someone.

Recommended by a co-worker. So glad he did! Very honest, thorough, straightforward. Services performed exactly as I requested. I was even given a list of future needed repairs I could take care of when possible. Was able to pick up car after hours conveniently. Quick and efficient. I highly recommend their services.

John is very detailed and proficient and will tell you exactly what needs to be done. The cost for repairs are worth every penny rather than bouncing from place to place from one dishonest mechanic to another. I had major costly repairs corrected here from a previous rip off incompetent garage, and I haven't had a single problem since. They will give you pictures if you need them.

Car Kings is solid - very professional, and very straight forward, use quality parts, and they get rid of the headache of a major problem. It's been over a year and my car sounds and feels awesome. I like them, what can I say, It's hard to find a good spot like this. I'll be back.

If asked to express my view of Car Kings in one word: TRUST. They are honest, highly responsive, very available to discuss my car AND were willing to stay late while my car was towed there. I'd rate them 10 STARS, but the rating system only goes up to 5. The owner, John, sincerely cares! Best experience I've ever had with car service.

John the owner is great he explains and also shows you everything i just brought a 73 xke jaguar and the right front brake was making a noise he went over it with me and showed me the brakes were almost new and that that noise was maybe dust and it would go away and yes it did. he also fixed my exhaust which was hanging loose and making a noise. this was the first time going to car kings and now i know i made a wise choice. joe lomuscio

Car Kings is very professional repair shop. They are know exactly what's wrong with car and all mechanics are profane certified, I am so happy with work, they preformed at a great price! Highly recommended this place! Thank you Car Kings and all staff!

Came here for a car inspection, and the service was fast and courteous. They also have a large lot, which means it's easy to drop your car off. Some of the mechanics near the city (and in the city) have tiny lots so it can get tricky dropping your car off. Car Kings also has a large interior with plenty of seating. I found myself a new mechanic!

I brought my car into this shop for 2 codes being thrown in my transmission. Not only did the shop owner look at my car from top to bottom, he also checked my brakes, fluids, filters and more. They are EXTREMELY trustworthy and do not mess around when giving you an honest answer. John called me whenever a problem arose and he made sure every step of the way that I was informed that was going on.

The prices are great and the amount of detail they put into making sure your car is in good order is unachievable at any other shop. Don't choose any other shop for any foreign car repairs, the team is great.

I found Car King when my 2003 ram 1500 wouldn't turn on brought it to a few places no one could figure it out. had it towed to Car King and they diagnosed the problem, Was very happy I had my work truck back. Recent brought my wife's ford edge for spark plugs and oil leaks he is currently working on it im very confident of the work done here. I also gave him.( My Toy) Ford F150 for spark plug change since I didn't want to break a plug inside. I will recommend anyone and every one that want great mechanic working on their vehicles without taking short cuts CAR KINGS IS THE PLACE TO GO I FOUND MY MECHANIC.

SEPT 2020 - Had a great experience with these guys. Needed a thorough second opinion-- first shop said my '97 E250 was good to go after a quick once-over. The Jasper transmission kept on with a slow leak and Jasper suggested Car Kings. John picked up the call and had me in first thing next morning. He was careful not to over-diagnose and take each problem one step at a time so that I could stay in budget and come back as necessary. Really pleasant staff. I'll be happy to call them FIRST for the rest of the van's life.

I have a had a few bad experiences with mechanics over the years but this takes the cake! I took my car to to Car Kings because my Jaguar was leaking oil after hitting a speed bump. I know a good bit about cars from my racing days but I don't have a lift so I brought it to them. After keeping my car for hours they finally called and I went to get my car.

Here is what they told me. they said that when I hit the speed bump I did a lot of damage. They said I bent the oil filter, bent the oil cooler and the unit that holds the filter. They said it needed to be fixed immediately and that I shouldn't drive it. The price they gave me to repair. $1,800.00! They said I needed to replace everything including the hoses!

I told them I couldn't afford to pay that and they said well, that's up to you, we put some oil in it, cleaned it up, and tightened the filter. They charged me $165.00 for that and said good luck! The problem is, that seemed like BS to me so I took it to another mechanic. The second mechanic's diagnosis; you bent the oil filter and knocked it loose.

He re-tightened it, double checked the oil and said there's nothing else wrong with your car! His fee. $25.00! It's been two months since then and my car hasn't lost a drop of oil. The moral of this story, if I didn't question Car Kings I would have been ripped off for $1,800.00! Did they purposely try to rip me off? I don't know, but either way, they either dishonest or negligent and I don't deal with either You've been warned! Don't take the first estimate, EVER! Also, if you drive an expensive car, you are a target.

So a quick response to your absurd explanation. I waited three months just be sure there would be no issues with my car! I was unhappy the moment you misdiagnosed and over charged to tighten the filter and add some oil. I'm just glad I found an honest, not greedy mechanic who obviously knows cars better than you, or maybe more honest. Either way, I notice any time you get a bad review it's NEVER your fault, always the "bad" or "fake" customer no big deal, all good on my end now. Just letting people know "caveat emptor"

Oh and I was here at your establishment. Shame on you. Crooked auto mechanic! People please stay far far away.

Reliable, fast, and around the corner! After a BMW Dealership NIGHTMARE I went through, these guys were able to help me and give me a second opinion on a diagnosis for my car. Thank God I found them. Will be coming back for sure!

I called car kings at 1145 in the morning for a NJ State inspection, arrived at the shop at 1230, they had my car in the shop by 1, and i was on the road by 145. It only took so long because John, the owner took his time scraping the old sticker off as to try and not ruin my tint. Absolutely will be back for any car needs.

I'm editing my review, these guys are scammers and charge way above the customary rate. My TPMS was never on they replaced it for they found it was cracked, now 2 months later its on. Went back today and the service I received was disgusting. John, was so unprofessional and his demeanor was beyond disgusting. Please do your self a favor don't come here.

Mind you, they had my car and were asking for a good review practically before they released my car. I did give them the review because I was scared for what they would do to my car while in their posession. I'm so regretful I came back, its just disgustung and my tpms still on and they wash their hands its not their issue.

In preparation for the possible purchase of a used car on craigslist, my husband and I called up Car Kings to inquire about their inspections. Though we didn't end up buying the car (and therefore didn't need the inspection this time around), I feel inspired to write this review because of how friendly, informed and genuinely helpful Anthony was over the phone, thoroughly filling us in on the process (including where we could grab a bite nearby while we waited) and advising us from his first-hand experience on the models we were considering.

To top it all off, he told us to call him with any questions we had about cars in the future, even if they don't end up inspecting/servicing them (!). Though we live in Brooklyn and might not have the chance to bring whatever car we do end up purchasing to Car Kings in NJ, I wanted to share the above and beyond customer service experience we had with Anthony, so that those of you who are fortunate to live close by will know what good hands you'll be in.

For all your car needs I recommend this family caring place. They tell it how it is and do the right thing no reading in between the lines. This place will definitely become your family auto body place after one visit. Anthony and the staff was great in helping me and making sure my car is safe and taken care of the right way at only a fair price.

Anthony and his team not only service the car wonderfully but he also had hands on customer service. He constantly kept me informed on the progress with my car. There was an exceedingly fast turnaround. All-around a great experience I would recommend Car King to anyone. The staff was also amazing. Anthony even offered to wait with me for my Uber to arrive even after the shop had closed.

Impressive customer service with top notch work. Anthony kept me informed throughout the repair process. Never did I feel hassled to make additional repairs actually they helped me decide what repairs take prioritiy and what could wait. The itemized bill was great with an extra section noting repairs I still need and why. Overall a fantastic experience and all my car repair/inspection business is now going to Car Kings!

Great service to my vehicle. They use all top of the line parts, and are very thorough with service and inspection of the car. Honest guys. Good customer service, you get an emailed invoice prior to the service with itemized costs. Cleaned my car interior and exterior after service.

Started my car in the morning to the dreaded check engine light being on! After some online research came across Car Kings in my home town of Wallington. Briefly explained the issues I was having with my car to the service manager Anthony. He was extremely professional over the phone and explained the process of how they will diagnose the problem. Took my car at 1 in the afternoon and by 2:45 they gave me a full report on what was causing the problem.

Outside of what was causing the check engine light to turn on they also advised of some minor issues they noticed. However there was absolutely no pressure to perform all services they noticed. The owner John was the one who actually called me to go over the report they ran through the diagnostic scan. They could not have been more helpful and make you feel at ease knowing your car is in good hands.

By 6pm I was back in my car and it was running like new! To top it all of the prices are right in line with what I would expect to spend for my repairs. Excellent service, fair pricing, and mechanics who talk to you like a normal person what more can you ask for from a mechanic. I HIGHLY recommend this mechanic to any friends and family or anyone in general looking for a reliable and friendly shop. Thank you Anthony & John from a very happy customer.

I go to Car Kings for my personal as well as my business vehicles. They maintain my fleet with fast efficient service and fair prices. They guarantee their work for one year which most places won't do. I still haven't had to take them up on that offer as none of the repairs have broken. If you want honest mechanics with fair prices you should come to this place. It's important to note they also do wheel alignments which lots of places don't do. Thanks guys for my new tranny its still working great!

Special attention to customer service. Never experienced any dealership or car service/repair center putting your needs ahead of their business. They will provide honest assessment of situation with accurate pricing. John is very straight forward with issue and quote. I had a major issue with my car and he diagnosed it accurately and fixed it in no time which resolved the issue completely. Anthony ensures you are well informed on a timely basis and works towards delivery of the committed timeline. All in all, they take pride in their work, treat you well, very friendly, trustworthy and most importantly it was a drama free experience

It was our first time at Car Kings and we needed to get the car repaired that day. We called John at Car Kings based on a recommendation from the Triple A man who serviced our car. We had a few things we needed repaired. John is fair and honest. He repaired exactly what we needed to have fixed a reasonable price. He did not push any other repairs that would have been unnecessary.

This is an owner who I have a pleasure doing business with. He treats his customers fairly and professionally. I would certainly recommend this place to family and friends, as well as strangers stranded on the road!
