Wonderful experience at Car-Doc Automotive! I had a water pump fail on my VW TDI and Brian at Car-Doc was able to install a new timing belt kit. Moved here less than a year ago, but have already found our go-to automotive repair shop. Car-Doc has been fast, efficient, well priced, and best of all, honest and respectful. No over selling, no questionable repair calls (experienced a few of those in the past), just an excellent "get it done right" attitude. Place is clean, and everybody we've dealt with has been very friendly- seriously, what more can you ask for?

I have had nothing but positive experiences at Car-Doc over the last 6 years. Their work is high quality and they never pressure me to get services done that aren't necessary. They also go above and beyond for their customers (I once had my entire wheel stolen and they came to my apartment to replace it so that I didn't have to tow my car. They also fixed my visor for free in less than 20min after I had gone to another shop that was going to charge me $90 just to "diagnose" the problem). I will most definitely return!

Last time in for an oil change: I had changed to synthetic oil & didn't'realize that oil lasted much longer. So Car Doc pointed out I didn't need a change, even tho it had been over 6mos on my 2003 Golf VW. I was grateful for their honesty & care. Recently had a problem with my car's blower and immediately called Car Doc. They got me in as quickly as possible and as in the past, everything went extremely well. Car Doc is a 1st class auto repair shop--with 1st class trained techs & a terrific customer service rep named Debbie. Folks at Car Doc are extremely honest, explain everything to you so you can understand, and don't do anything that you don't need.

Their prices are very fair and they never tack on extra charges. If your car needs something, they will tell you. If you're looking for an A++ auto repair shop, that goes the extra mile or two for its customers, then Car Doc is the place for you.

I called Car-Doc to get an estimate on repairs, their Toyota expert told me about an extended warranty enhancement from Toyota that would cover all parts and labor for the issue I was having. Two Toyota dealerships didn't even know about this warranty. Thank you Car-Doc for saving me 3k! It's so nice having a dependable, honest, and friendly car shop and in the neighborhood. Wish I could give their Toyota expert a hug!

DJ replaced the clutch on my '00 S2000 with an upgraded Exedy organic that he suggested. It is a major upgrade and drives better than stock. He also addressed the annoying grinding I was getting on hard acceleration in 2nd gear. This is a beautiful shop that has been in operation for a long time. Price was very good, service was top notch. Yelp needs to add more stars for me to click.

Stopped in to get my oil changed for my Lexus before an extremely long trip. Was able to schedule an appointment over the phone no problem. The waiting area was very nice and clean, and I was the only one there. Masks are required (good!) and I was pleased with the length of time the service took.

Gave an accurate estimate for some front-end repairs, work completed on time and budget, everything working fine. Can't ask for more!

When we performed our 80k service on our 2012 VW Tiguan in May, we were advised to have our rear brakes and rotors replaced. We passed on the maintenance. Fast forward three months later, my wife couldn't tolerate the squealing any more. We set an appointment about a week out, dropped off the car in the morning, and our Tiguan was ready before 2p. Outstanding service and attention to detail.

I would recommend this place to anyone. And no, they're not one of those places where they try to pull a fast one on you. They recommend what's necessary and will not add on other items that "need replacing". Very solid. Also, they do not charge exorbitantly high prices for parts. Very reasonable. We will go here for all of our VW and Audi needs. Did I mention that their facilities were spotless?

Definitely a sign that the establishment takes pride in their work, as well as their workplace. It's nice to have great quality work very close by (less than 10min from home). Thank you, Car-Doc!

Car Docs is amazing! I was in and out of there in a very short time, and the service was super affordable! They also helped me with another, more lengthy service and walked me through the process entirely. They are also very honest and do what is best for you and your car, not what will cost you the most. Just took my car here for an oil change since it's across the street from my work. First off, it's literally the cleanest auto repair place I have seen in STL. Everyone I spoke with was polite and knowledgeable. I got a synthetic oil change for $38 tax included. They also put air in my tires and vacuumed my floors. A plus on value and service.

Most Immaculate service center I've seen. Great service, very professional and honest. Ed took the time to explain what he found and gave us some good options to work with. The other 2 service centers visited suggested over a $1000.- of work that was not needed. Car-Doc Automotive has set a higher standard to automotive service

I had several pretty good experiences with this place. For example, they replaced my alternator and it was very affordable and quick. However, the last time I went there I told them I wanted all four of my tires replaced and asked them to please call me with a quote. After a few hours, I thought it was strange that no one had called me. About 3 hours after that, I get a call saying that the work on my car had been completed (without my approval).

It was about $150 over what I would have ideally wanted to pay. They said they used affordable tires on it, but I did some research and they were about the best you can get on a 2007 Yaris. Maybe I have a complex, but I'm pretty sure they tried to pull one over on me because I look young. Not too pleased and not sure if I would recommend them.

We've been using Car Doc for several years now. We moved to South City this year and still drive out to take our card in. They are always extremely honest and up front about things, and the mechanics and front desk staff are always very nice. We've gone in twice when another mechanic told us something (expensive) needed to be done, only to have Car Doc look it over and tell us everything was fine.

Lesson finally learned, we aren't going anywhere else again. Two years ago when my car kept dying, I took my car in to see what the issue was since I had a new battery. They took my car in immediately. Turned out that the battery wasn't attached correctly. They reattached it and sent me on my way, wouldn't accept anything for it. Point being, we love Car Doc and will probably always continue to being our cars here.

Wonderful experience from beginning to end! We were visiting from out of town and had an unexpected problem with our car. When I called I was greeted by Ed's friendly voice who encouraged me to come right down. I can honestly say that the shop is hands down the cleanest and most inviting garage I've ever been in. Between the waiting area with a full register of magazines and a tv on the wall to the complimentary cookies and coffee!

Not to downplay the garage which was immaculate and run in a professional and efficient manner. The point is, if you want great service and a friendly atmosphere then this is the place.

Had to bring in my car for some new tires before winter, and also get an alignment and oil change. I also requested them to fix my headlight bulb which I never seemed to get myself. The shuttle service was awesome as I just got a lift to work in the morning. I don't think I've ever had work on my car done go as smoothly as it did here. Friendly staff and the work done on my car was awesome. I have nothing bad to say.

Car Doc's been easy on the pony since I started takin her in after her hoof blew out running full bore down 70 west. Got me cheap tires on in about 4 hours same day it happened. So now I'll taker in there for oil changes and rotations. The oil changes are really cheap, about 30 bucks. Cheaper than Valvoline at least. I also, like LuLu, used to work right next to Car Doc, but the shuttle service is way way awesome now that we work in Earth City Dump Business Park.

I think a lot of Elsevier people take their cars there because the shuttle drivers know exactly where to go. Just had an oil change scheduled for today (friday) actually, but my tire started leaking earlier this week, I called around 1pm on Wednesday and told them I was worried about the pony bustin a shoe, and John obliged by lettin me come in at 2:30 same day! He got her shoe patched, rotated, and oiled er up by 4:00! Now my Friday's free and clear for Facebook and Yelp! Thanks Car Doc!

I am so thankful a friend recommended Car Doc to me a few years ago. I work in the Westport area, so any time I need something taken care of, this is where I go. They have a friendly COMPLIMENTARY shuttle to take me to work, and then also to come pick me up when my car is finished. That's right. A free ride so you don't have to sit and wait.

How many business can you think of that provide such a great service for free? (Cue the crickets.) I have never once had them try to push anything extra on me or give me the old runaround you get at most car places. They are always polite, respectful, and extremely helpful when explaining any issues you may have and options for a solution. They don't talk to me like I'm a "girl", but at the same time they understand I need car things explained so a typical person can comprehend. Even if you are not in the Westport area, it's worth giving them a shot.
