I have always used Bruce's. In the past I never had any issues. This time it was a nightmare. Daughters vehicle got vandalized and i sent her to Bruce's. We dropped it off and daughter was contacted to meet adjuster behind the building and her comment was he looked like a "skallywag" supposedly their Progressive adjuster for Bruces. He began by stating it would be considered two seperate incidents and began telling her most of the damage was not included.

New car. She had been trying to contact someone for weeks and this was their best. After my daughter attempted to speak with someone reputable the adjusters supervisor contacted me. Her mother. I am not on her policy. She is an adult and we have no idea how they got my number. He discussed her case and basically said they were not going to repair all the damage.

When she showed up to pick up her vehicle to take it somewhere else it had tar all over it. She questioned the adjuster and he stated it would come off. This place is a shady operation. What a shame. I always had great service there before. She is taking it to a reputable repair shop. Thankful we picked it up before they were able to do anymore damage. Only wish I had read the recent reviews before sending her there. Never again.

I took my car to bruce's after my incident and the customer service was top tier! Bret was amazing as always and they got my car in an out within a reasonable amount of time. If I had taken it anywhere else it was gonna be at least a month waiting time and I got my car back within 3 weeks. They also painted my hood and buffed everything out nice and smoothly to have the front end of my car looking perfect. Please don't go any other way, the guys at Bruce's go above and beyond!

About 10-15 years ago, Bruce's was one of the best. After they messed up twice on a previous vehicle, I decided to give them one last shot. We had an estimate written up for the repair work after an accident and that estimate was inline with what the insurance company estimated so we booked the repair work. We waited over a month for them to be able to do the work.

The old office manager lady, who is probably one of the least pleasant people I've met, asked my to clarify what the insurance company was covering. Once I did, she said they needed to rewrite the estimate. They then proceeded to lower the cost of the repair that the insurance company was paying for and increased the cost of the repair I was paying for.

When I asked her why they did that, she got all upset and said they didn't. When I showed her the difference in black and white between their estimates, in the nastiest attitude possible, she said no she could not explain it.

We gave Bruce's one last try but they have hit rock bottom. On our Buick, we had to send it back two different times for them to get the paint correct on the rear hatch. This time, they decided to play games with their estimates. We waited a month for them to fit us in and when the day finally came, the lady behind the counter was rude, couldn't and wouldn't explain why they decided to charge more than their original quote. Where there is smoke there is fire, and Bruce's is all smoke and mirrors these days.

I have a 2021 Toyota Highlander in which I needed a hitch installed for an out of state move. After charging me over ~$950 for parts/labor, I found out 6 days later the lights didn't work (even though they said it did during a test at installation). I found this out as I attempted to rent a Uhaul trailer and my vehicle didn't pass the light/safety test.

I brought my vehicle back to Bruce's and they were unable to properly diagnosis the problem. The mechanic told me the problem was my (brand new) vehicle and not the hitch and only Toyota could fix it. After calling every Toyota in Richmond area, I was finally able to get an appointment the next day (keep in mind, I was suppose to move out of state the same day had I not experienced this set back).

It took Toyota less than 10 minutes to diagnose the issue, there was a part completely missing. Unbelievable. I think it's fair to assume them stating the lights worked on installation was a lie. Toyota charged me $209 for the diagnosis, parts, and labor. Additionally, I had to pay for an unplanned stay in a hotel the night before the Toyota appointment (just sold my home and had nowhere to live in Virginia).

Bottom line, Bruce's body shop charged me "Toyota dealership" pricing to install a hitch, but gave my "Wish" services. In the end, I was out of over $300 additional dollars and lost a an entire day in travel due to this inconvenience. All the owner could say was "they keep changing stuff on these new vehicles". He never accepted responsibility. Unacceptable! I did not get what I paid for.

The shop was absolutely amazing. The moment I walked in I knew I had chosen the right place. Unfortunately after an accident my car was scheduled at this preferred shop by the insurance company. All damages were not addressed even those visible to the naked eye. After I registered a complaint I was fortunate enough to have my car repaired properly at Bruce's. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I was told to bring my car in for an estimate.when I got there, I was told they don't paint entire cars and they were swamped. I told them I had texted them and their reply, I was then told they don't text. I have an email from Michael High stating they do paint entire cars starting at $3500. I was treated very rudely this morning after loading my car on a trailer and driving 35 miles for an estimate. If you advertise to paint cars, either do it or go out of business. Michael Story

Brought my niece here to get the mirror and passenger lock fixed and alignment. The mirror didn't get fixed. We came to pick up the car and the rep blamed everything on Courtney who's on vacation because she took the original estimate. We have paperwork showing this. Yet, we were told to bring the car back in Tuesday because they had to order the parts. Yet, no one felt the need to do their job.

Hire competent workers. If your workers can't do their job, then hire someone that will. There's lots of people out of work that need a job. Your employees have become complacent and not doing their job. There needs to be some checks and balances done to ensure that customers get what they're paying for. To make this right, you need to rush the part and take any fees out of Courtney's paycheck.

If employees are held accountable like this, then they'll think twice before messing up. To make matters worst, the young man used packing tape to tape the side view mirror to try to hold it in place. It's hot outside and the adhesive will melt. You can NOT fix everything with tape. Would I recommend this place? That's a hard NO. I won't do business with any of your locations. I will make sure that others know about your lack of customer service, so that they won't do business with you either.

Outstanding shop. Have had 2 vehicles repaired here before and visiting now for my truck after the recent ice storm dropped a large limb on it. Kyle and the team are oustanding. Have spoken with him many times and with Carroll. Cannot recommend this place more. Attention to detail is far above and beyond anyone else. They will treat you right and like it's their own vehicle

I have used them twice for minor repairs to my vehicles (dent and paint damage). Both times the repairs were done in less than a week, and was very happy both times with how the repairs turned out, they did a great job on making the new paint blend in right with the car. I have progressive, and they worked with them seamlessly to get the repairs done both times. I would recommend this shop.

Due to the fact COVID-19 has impacted many lives I really felt the need to share this review. On Tuesday, August 4th I went to Bruce's Super Body Shop to pick up a vehicle that was repaired. In reviewing the car with Carroll, the assistant GM, his mask kept coming down. I had to ask him 3 times to ensure his mask remained covering his mouth in a less than 30 second span.

When I asked him a 4th time he was upset and said we were 6 feet apart in his opinion - we were not 6 feet in my opinion. Either way Carroll demonstrated little regard for my health in not wearing a properly fitting mask. If your engaging with customers you should be more aware in these times about safety especially while representing a business. I don't want to get into to many more details but there were other issues with this "confrontation" with Carroll that the GM Kyle apologized for when I spoke with him. (I put confrontation in quotes as this is the description Kyle used.) Kyle was very reasonable and professional in my interaction.

One other note I had my newborn in my car and we have been isolating to ensure our health and safety the last 4 plus months. That is the reason we are so careful in our interactions. It is just disappointing and somewhat shocking to me when Bruce's has Carroll out engaging with customers showing such little regard for the safety of others during this pandemic.

Great place to take my 2018 Camaro SS! Kyle and his co-workers treated my car with respect unlike my experience with another shop (see my previous reviews). I had paint done (some of it was to correct my previous bad experience) on the front bumper and ground effects installed on my Camaro. I also had side rocker stripes installed. Kyle, the Manager was very understanding of what body work and installations I wanted to have done on my car.

He answered all of my questions and said it was okay to reach out at any time. My car was also left in the condition that it was received, which was clean. I told him how particular I was about my car and he said he would take care of it, and he did. A few years ago I had my bumper redone on my 2014 Dodge dart, and I had no issues post visit either, so wanted to add this here too! I recommend this place to anyone with an upper end car, and actually if you care about your car being taken care of. And I honestly would visit again.

Our 1999 GMC Sierra was damaged in a parking lot accident and we brought it to this business for necessary repairs. (They had performed a whole body paint job several years back). The repair took longer than the original estimate, but they performed the repairs in an excellent fashion and they truck looks as good as it did when I took delivery of it 20 years ago. Thank you, Kyle for the excellent work that you and your folks did on our truck. I would recommend this shop for all of your Body Shop Work and Paint Repairs

Went her to get an estimate on fixing my F-350 after a lady ran a stop sign and plowed into the driver's side door. The staff was courteous and quick to look at my truck. Have an appointment for Monday to drop truck off for repair. I'll be posting more after the truck is repaired.

Wrote them on Yelp about a quote, they told me to come in for an estimate (no specific time was given). I came in at 4:50 the following day and was told estimates are mon-Fri until 4:30pm and to come back during those hours. Aaaaand now I can understand why this place has so many bad reviews YIKES!

Worst experience of my life. I wouldn't recommend this repair shop at all. Service department is a mess and never took accountability for their wrong doings. It took them a month to repair my vehicle! When I went to pick it up, I couldn't even drive it off of the lot! Then I didn't have my car for an additional month. This repair shop by far was one of the worst shops I've ever dealt with. I would advise you to take your car elsewhere to save you from the stress I had throughout the entire repair process.

Had the worst experienced today, I'm seating in Bruce's parking lot making the review. I'm in the store before 6:00 pm, inquiring about a product. The gentleman walk and told me they are busy completing their paperwork to come back in the morning, like I'm on his time. They could be the only store in Richmond, they won't get my business

Worst place ever! An estimate should be done in 4-5 days, he did my cars estimate in 20 days, I would go every other day check the status, Assistant Mgr would say; not yet, don't worry. And he ended up billing me $1000 just for storage! And $300 just for taking a bumper off. Seriously! Wowww horrible!

I have used this is place for years after it being recommended to me by a close friend. Kyle is just the best. They have always fixed whatever problem I was facing. Kyle even called to let me know that the insurance company of a man who rear ended me was trying to use a bumper that was not Range Rover in an effort to save their company money. Obviously, that didn't happen. Came in today as someone had hit my side mirror and he had his guys repair it as to not cause any more issues.

You do normally need an appointment but I am extremely grateful they were willing to help me so quickly. I would definitely recommend Bruce's Body Shop. They are friendly, helpful and do a GREAT job!

We took our car in for repair and were told that it would take 8 to 10 days. After 2 weeks (on a Fri.) we contacted them and were told it would be ready Tues. When we hadn't heard on Tues. we called and were told it would be ready Thurs. or Friday. We contacted them and were told that it would definitely be ready Mon. It wasn't. It is suppose to be ready today but who knows. They have never given a reason for the delay. We will never use them again! Their customer service is terrible.

HORRIBLE SERVICE Super Bruce Auto 2551 Homeview Drive, Richmond Va repaired my car cost over $4,000 handed me the keys no tags, emptied gas tank and a dead battery. I was in an unsafe car. They were awful even the front desk. I would recommend looking around they are super high and don't care about there customers! I spoke with Kile (manager) he was rude unappollogetic and kept hollering you didn't pay for a battery or gas. Kile needs to know that customers that patronized this company should be told your battery is dead, you have no gas bring a gas can, your tags are not on your car before you pick up your car. I had hail damage. GEICO did exactly what they were supposed to do. Love my insurance company, wish I had taken my car to a different body shop. Bruce's was recommended by several people that I trust their judgment but I am not completely happy with the service. Please take some precaution before you take your car to the shop. I should have taken my own photos.

There is some damage on the rear bumper below the light that was not there before taking it to Bruce's. It was not part of the claim because it is not hail damage. It is from some machine they used to get the dents out of the truck or replacing the trunk however they fixed those dents. Then the drivers side door, there is a plastic cover behind the handle that was broken.

They did not go over the car with me They pulled it up and said the keys are inside. When I was looking at the car. A Man came out and said is it okay I was shocked that there was a hint of customer service. I said I guess, the hail damage was gone. I noticed the plastic cover and the bumper damage once I got back to work. I went back, the gentleman spoke to me like "female" what are you talking about. I said thanks and left. I will go to the dealer about the plastic cover and live with the bumper damage. But will never recommend or use Bruce's again.

It's never a pleasant experience to take your vehicle into a body shop for repairs. I have unfortunately had to do so four times in the last 4 years. The staff at Bruce's does everything they can to turn a bad situation into a positive. They are incredibly friendly and personable they are professional, knowledgeable, and their work has always been top-notch.

Yes they are more expensive than many of the other shops, however you get what you pay for. I personally am not concerned with how much an insurance company has to pay out. My focus is returning my vehicle to as close to new condition as possible and Bruce's has always made that happen. I am incredibly pleased with their services and would highly recommend them to anyone needing vehicle repair after an accident!

My fiance got her car towed here because she hit a deer or vice versa and it was the closest body shop. Insurance told us to let them appraise the damages and they'll have their inspectors to come and check it out. Car was there Friday and by Monday Bruce's wanted her to come and sign some papers to get the work done. She wanted to wait for the insurance company to write her a check before any work can be performed. Well, Bruce's were rushing and asking so many questions on my she's hesitant about letting them work on the car.

We told them all we wanted was an estimate and with this service and gratitude were receiving I'm not sure if I want to do business here. Bruce's told us that we either let them do the work or tow it somewhere else. I spoke up and said, ok let us get ours keys. Then the lady at Bruce's said well before you get a tow truck here you need to pay $728 for towing and storage fee.

We said ok I'll insurance will take care of it, they said no, either you pay now or no one is towing that car. As much as I wanted to smack the shit out of her; I said ok sure. Then she was giving us an attitude when we asked where should our tow truck pull in to get the car. She says, when he gets here, he has to come inside and see me first.

Well my buddy Darryl is the tow trucker and he told me that the lady wasn't happy or something and didn't even tell him what car it is or where it was parked. Bruce's, your business is going down the drain, I've been living in Richmond for 20 years and pass by your shop almost everyday. I remember during my middle and high school days I used to ride my bike near your shop and west tower everyday.

Never would I thought that Bruce's stuper body shop would have terrible customer service. It's funny seeing a few cars in the lot now compared to a packed lot 15 years ago. #byeFelicia

Changing to one star. After looking over my car they didn't even hook up the running lights! Finding hairs and dust in the paint.
