I paid this shop almost 15k of work on my car including 8k for a new motor. They did not honor the warranty and left me with a car that has a check engine light and can not be registered. I still may sue them. Scammed me.

I came in to have my exaust welded they tried to sell me a break flush and told me they cant weld it only to replace it.got it fixed at a different shop they basically charged me 175$ for nothing. Service: Auto exhaust system repair

I always take my cars to automotion. I've had quality engine jobs done there, head rebuild, valve jobs, and other improvements. They stand by their work. They also give courtesy rides if your destination is within a reasonable distance. They are pricey, but you get what you pay for. I definitely recommend.

Needed to have car done quickly since I was going on a trip. I had a noise under the hood which was the power steering pump. They replaced it but the pump cost was $2400. Found I could have gotten it for $709 but time was an issue. I paid total retail. Which I know they have to make a profit. But that cost was ridiculous. Anyway total cost was over $4000 with labor and a general overall inspection. Wow! I know they do a good job but you also pay for it. Thanks

Theses guys are great! Had an oil change and inspections done. Previous visits include new tires, alignment and headlight changes. They never try and upsell me on stuff I don't need. They are honest and try and save me money rather than get all they can out of me like other shops in town. It's a very clean shop, the employees are very respectful and I recommend them HIGHLY. Automotion is very thorough which is what I want in my auto maintenance. I have found the personnel very cordial and professional. The former owners ran a good operation and this seems to have continued with the new owners although there have been some turnover in employees--a sign of the times. The costs are substantial, but the work is high quality and service is outstanding.

Just as an example, a ride was provided from the busines to my house after I dropped off my vehicle, and I was also picked up and driven to Automotion when the service work was done. I highly recommend Automotion for customers who want high quality not cheap automotive services. You get what you pay for.

Gave me a lot of high quites / solutions for my Mercedes oil leak. Ended up going to the dealership where they informed me the problem was the engine and not the spark plugs, pcv, or any other none sense Automotion suggested.

Also please take the time to look at who is leaving the (YELP) reviews.their fake people such honest a. We all know what that means. He also has his family and friends post positive review to yelp. bottom lines do your research before you use some one. Change Owner's could just mean he signed it over to the wife but still owns and manages the place of business.

Brought my car in to diagnose a couple of check light issues and after paying them a few times for the same issue, the check lights still come on for the same reasons and they told tell me they can then fix it but for several thousand dollars. This after spending money on the same issues that they misdiagnosed and wouldn't take responsibility for the previous times I have paid them for the same thing with no correction.

They main advisor never acknowledged anything that was done saying they have to charge to diagnose every time even for the same problem and had no empathy for the previous service charges. Went elsewhere where it was done properly and far less money than what they were quoting. Very overpriced shop, with huge overhead.

Only giving them one star because theirs no ZERO star button.left my wife in tears, lied, didn't fix the problem spent 1,800 dollars on a vehicle that' my with cannot drive to her cancer appointments. now she has to take the bus to her appointments due to.me working out of state. thanks for nothing.

I took my classic truck to automotion to get the carburetor adjusted and for a smog check. The completed both and now my truck runs like new.

I recently purchased a cls550 that had more problems than I thought. I took it to automotion and in 3 days he had the entire car ready. The car runs better than I thought it ever would, I'm amazed. the pictures and videos they take to show you what's going on really brings peace of mind knowing your not paying for something you don't need. This shop has very good costumer service and when I brought my truck in, they were able to diagnose the problem within just an hour! Their technicians are amazing at their job and the service writes at the front desk were very helpful! Definitely my new favorite shop!

I've been using the dealership to get my BMW repaired for many years, until I tried out Automotion. I am so impressed. They explain everything in a way that I can understand and I don't get the feeling they are recommending work that isn't required. They take pictures of the 'problem' area which helps them explain the situation. I'm sticking with Automotion for my service and repair needs. Highly recommend.

This was the second time bringing my car in to them because of the exceptional service Nick provided us the first time. Unfortunately this time around it was less than exceptional. Scott spent more time talking about video games than going over the services done to my car. They had been done with my car for a whole week before I called to check on it. Scott claimed to have called and left voicemails.

He lied to my face several times about different issues I brought up when I went to pick up my car. They replaced my turn signal switch & when I pointed out my ignition lock was not aligned properly, he got extremely defensive, spoke over me, and told me it was not their fault. They did offer to make things right and I took my car in AGAIN for them to fix things they overlooked, but they still missed the mark.

My ignition lock still isn't in it's original condition. I should not have to repeatedly waste my time to take my car in for this. It makes me think that if they missed minor things like this, then what about the other major work they do?

I'll be quick as this place deserves no more of my time. Over priced, they tried to do services I specifically requested they not do with out phone approval and when brought up with owner got 3 different answers on 3 different days. Just got my car back from only a battery terminal service and oil change which they didn't even bother to reset the oil light even though it states on the paperwork that they did and received my 3rd nail in my tire.

Originally started going to this place after getting screwed over by jiffy lube only to get overcharged for sub par at best service. After viewing some of the other negative reviews I see I'm not the only one staying away from this place.

For my experience, I was not satisfied with having to authorize, at minimum, 2 hours @ $150ish p/ hr to diagnose the check engine light code, if needed. It took over two hours. They provided an explanation when I asked, but I still don't agree or fully understand what $150 p/ hr covers. The car was in the shop two days because the wrong part was ordered or delivered. That is still a satisfactory turn around time in my opinion, but under delivered on what they said.

This shop, including the owner, chose to completely ignore the fact of a repair they performed failed right away. They do not back up their work, only blowing me off with a bogus warranty hot line to call. I had the job done by another shop, which included a fix it no strings warranty.

When our Sprinter conversion broke down in the middle of our trip with a sticking thermostat, the guys went above and beyond to get us back on the road. Since the van is our home, they even let us stay in their parking lot. Definitely recommend! Service: General repairs & maintenance

I recently had issues with my Ford Excursion 7.3 diesel coming into Reno from the mountains. This was basically our first day of a long RV roadtrip. After reading countless reviews, I decided to take my vehicle to Auto Motion. I was met by Nick and Nicko just as they opened. They were very nice and eager to help. Nick told me they would try to get my car fixed by the end of day. Nicko was nice enough to shuttle me back to our RV site.

The vehicle was done at the end of the day. Unfortunately, as we hitched up our trailer to continue our vacation the next day, the vehicle began to loose power. I immediately called Nick to tell him. Nick was honest and told me that they had done the most they could do on a diesel engine. Nick could have just left it at that but he called around to other auto shops that specialized in diesel engines.

He hooked me up with another local shop and got the job done. Nick went above and beyond to help get me and my family back on the road. While they weren't able to totally fix my Excursion, Nick's customer service was excellent. I never expected to get so much help. Thanks Nick and Nicko! In the end, the service they did perform was needed as part of my regular service anyway.

This is the one place I have complete confidence in when leaving our 2019 VW for service. Friendly and thorough service every time. The owners are always available; Mark takes the time to provide knowledgeable insights both before the work begins and after service is completed, and Shawna is happy to provide personal pick up/drop off transportation while the work is getting performed.

We often receive same day service completed in a timely manner. We live 200+ miles away and I make a point of being sure all our auto service needs are handled exclusively by Automotion.

I just thought I would leave a review for any Volvo owners out there. When I first moved to Reno, I went to the Volvo dealership and had terrible service. I then tried Automotion where I found their prices to be much less than the dealership as well as their diagnosis to be more spot on and accurate. They don't try to sell you things you don't need.

Their staff is very knowledgeable and great at explaining the details of what type of repair is recommended for anyone who is not super familiar with what happens under the hood. They are fast and courteous and if you own a Volvo here in Reno, this shop is by far your best bet over the local dealership

This place is very disappointing to say the least. I'm really not sure where all the positive reviews are coming from. I've also viewed a few reports made with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) so consumers beware. On top of gouging people on their estimates, the owner Mark is the worst to deal with on any customer issues. He's extremely defensive and rude.

He won't let the customer talk but proceeds to insult and lecture in an effort to defend his business. He seriously needs to learn better customer service. We had our BMW there twice. The first time it ended up being there for nearly 3 weeks, when we were initially told "the part will be in tomorrow", then a day to get the work done etc. Not to mention they had padded the work estimate with lots of labor hours which of course is where they make their money.

Then the 2nd time, we had a minor issue with the emission control. This time we went out to 3 other foreign auto repair shops in our area, gave them the information on the code that was thrown from the cars computer, plus the part number for what needed to be replaced and we were shocked but not surprised. Automotion was literally 2 times the price of the other reputable shops so it confirmed what we had thought.that their bids were way too padded on labor.

For this emission control part replacement, the other 3 shops quoted exactly the same saying it was about a 1 hour job. Automotion said it was 4 hours plus. Do your homework and don't accept what this shop is telling you without getting other estimates to compare. I think you'll be surprised at how much money "and effort" you can save by not taking your car to Automotion!

Oh and since I wrote this review, Mark the owner has tried to rebut and defend by a long winded response. Don't buy it.these guys are a joke! He even goes so far to call my husband the owner of the car.actually we both own it so that was pretty funny. Nice try Mark!

Maintaining a Mercedes is never inexpensive. That said - I trust Automotion and my trust isn't easily earned. They take exceptional care of my ML350 and E320. They are professional. They have talented and experienced mechanics. My relationship with Mark has always been one of trust. In my opinion I believe he wants to take care of my vehicle as if it was his own. I'm grateful I found them six years ago, and never regret the care they provide my vehicles.

I had called Mark a week before and to change a sway bar bushing and links total of eight bolts brand new parts and said that it would be 1.3 hours for an hour, on the day I took it there was at 9 o'clock and I decided to wait because this is the second time that this is happened to me dealing with the Mark at Auto Motion, he tells you one thing and then he doubles the price when you pay the bill, and then he tells you that I had to charge a little extra.

So at about 9 o'clock he takes the vehicle drives it in the back and I waited about till at 10:18 mechanic walks over to the vehicle drives it into the garage to do the repair, less than 1.2 hours. So when they were finished with the work and I wanted to pay the bill I noticed the the bill was almost double of the first quotation saying that it took him a little bit longer now you go figure that out.

You don't have to be a mathematician to figure out that he literally doubled the labor cost on that. My suggestion to anybody that ever uses this service Just please review all of the reviews from Oct 2010; and strongly review and take notice. I would recommend very strongly to get a final invoice before you actually taking your vehicle and get auto service at Automotion there you'll find out you'll come up with some lame reason to charge you double.

Mark you should be a shame of yourself. I've known Mark for well over 12 plus years and he has worked on many of our vehicles and during those years he use to be fairly honest and fairly good reasonable auto service but, I guess the Trend has change, the greed and dishonesty is now present here at this automobile repair shop.

It's a blind shot on a dartboard to find a good shop, and words cannot begin to describe how big of a bullseye I with Automotion. I purchased an 87 VW Syncro, and dropped it off for a full inspection. It was quickly apparent that good deals are often too good to be true. This thing is a total Frankenstein, to say the least. Beginning with the service that Ted gave me I knew my new vehicle was in good hands.

As newly discovered problems began coming in I was then getting calls from Mark. Mark was responsive, honest, and very detailed in the work that they were doing. Per our last conversation mark mentioned, "this doesn't feel like I'm talking to a client anymore just a friend" that resonated deeply as I feel the same way. As long as I am in Reno, I will be bringing my cars to Automotion. Huge thanks to the whole team.

After they repaired my 1984 Miniwinnie RV with the fuel problem, for $295.00 on 6/4/20, I made it exactly 305.5 Miles before it died in a remote area with no cell phone service just outside of Jorden Valley, Idaho. It took me 5 hours to get in touch with a tow company to have it towed another 110 miles to a repair shop. I tried to tell Nick that just replacing the fuel filter would not correct the problem.

I was NOT a happy camper, to say the least! Tom Shephard I read your comments and find it interesting that you would tell your customers to take along the parts to fix it yourself, instead of finding out what caused the problem and fixing that.

I have been a customer for almost 40 years. For the first time, I had to being a vehicle back in shortly after a repair. It turned out that the alternator was faulty 'out of the box' which caused it to fail 2 weeks later. Quickly repaired at, of course, no cost to me! These things do happen!

We recently had a parts warranty issue with my wife's Mini. I called Mark and within 3 days and we had the vehicle in and back again with the new parts installed. We could not have asked for a better result. I only we they had had labor coverage, but the charges were reasonable. Cudos to Mark and Automotion.

Went here today after scheduling an appointment through their website. They contacted me within just a few hours the same day to suggest an earlier time so I'd get my car back the same day! They got off to a wonderful start. Came in bright and early this morning to drop off my car. It was an easy process, the man checking me in, I believe his name was Nick, was super kind and listened to my concerns and assured me that they would be addressed. Dropped off my keys, and then left because I had class at UNR that day : I called in to ask for a check in on my car, and learned they were understaffed!

But don't let that think this place is awful. I had no rush for my car, so I certainly didn't care or mind. It happens! I got a helpful run down of everything that was issues, and wasn't told to get ALL of it done at once, but to do some things now as its more important. I LOVED that! I'm just a small little college aged girl, and I'm just trying to keep my car going and my bank account from the negatives.

So I appreciate that heavily! I got my car back and it drove me home with no problem. Will definitely be coming back for ANYTHING I need--be it oil changes to even something bigger like a battery replacement if it ever becomes necessary.

Mark and his team at Automotion have been nothing but transparent about what needs to be done to my 2015 Mustang. Mark (the owner) has communicated every step of their process and looks out for my best interest as far as affordability and the longevity of my cars health. Those that have given Automotion a bad review I assume can't handle bad news/or don't understand how automotive repairs work. (The more you are looking the more you will find) AUTOMOTION WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!

I had a large coolant leak in my Subaru so I took it to them for a diagnostic. The price for that was fair and they found the issue quickly. The leak was from the water pump which I had recently replaced so it was still under warranty. I ended up taking it over to the Subaru dealership since it was all paid for under the warranty. Automotion was very helpful and even suggested taking it to the dealership instead of trying to keep the work for themselves. I never wish maintenance on my car but if it does happen again I will definitely be bringing it here!

These guys are really good. 5 stars. The have prolonged the life our our poor old 99 Audi A4 and they have again managed to do it. Broken passenger window wouldn't go up or down. Car is practically ready for the bone yard. Customer Service is excellent. They will shuttle you back and forth if need be. Cost is reasonable and they seem to be pretty thorough in diagnosing and treating. We've taken the Audi and toyota there and they seem to be experts in both

When I was first searching Yelp to look at reviews to get my VW EOS worked on, this business only showed 2 1/2 stars! But I saw on Google reviews that they were rated 4.5 to 5 stars. WTH? I decided to trust the Google reviews and I was glad I did. I received excellent customer service through the whole process and they did a great job on my car and were fairly priced.

I asked them why they were rated so low on Yelp and they were not sure except to say that they were approached by Yelp years ago to advertise through them and they declined. I would hate to think that Yelp would discriminate against those businesses who do not to pay for advertising on their website. Today I went back to write this review and see that Automotion ratings are now an accurate reflection of their good service. Yeah!

Exceptional service is waiting should you choose to employ Automotion. They do top notch work while aiming to save clients money wherever possible without shortcutting work. They tell clients what they NEED to hear. which isn't necessarily always going to be what clients WANT to hear, but you can bet it will be the truth! They approach their work holistically meaning band aids or partial fixes are not what they recommend. Rather, they employ the fix it right = fix it once approach.

Honest and fair work they'll stand behind is what you get. You'll also get to engage with friendly people who are a pleasure to be around. Who could ask for anything more? 5 Stars for sure!
