Auto Shop

Took my daughters car here for a few repairs. This is my type of shop. No nonsense, got me scheduled, made repairs and took care of the car. They even let me bring her car in a day early to make it easier for me to get it down there and locked it up on their property. The guys answer the phone right when you call and just get to the basics. Wish I found this shop a long time ago. I'll take all my cars here from now on.

I have been a customer for over 6 years. Todd is great and has always been able to get parts for my 2007 Saturn Vu. They have always done great repairs, I have never had to return on any of the many repairs they have done. I give them a 10 rating. Services: A/C installation & repair, Engine repair, Brakes

It's been years since I've been here, but was in town for an event and needed a brake job. Bruce has retired, but Todd is the man now and I enjoyed doing business with him. Honest, excellent customer service. Prices are good and quality of work is excellent. I may save future maintenance for my next trip to town. I highly recommend these guys. Keep up the good work.

We have been going to the Auto Shop for years and have never been disappointed. We got a new car and it started having a weird sound at the area of the gas cap door. Honda gave us a quote but we decided we would take it to the Auto Shop instead. We ended up saving money by taking our car to the Auto Shop! Great place! Very reasonably priced services and repairs. But even better is the knowledge and experience they have. I'd pay double just to get things fixed or repaired by them. When they say it's fixed, it's fixed!

They are awesome. Fair, honest, polite, fast. You wont be disappointed. We went to few places before that made me never want to go back. This is the place. They could made up a lot of issues with our cars but instead they chose to be honest and we ended up with a bill waaaayyyy smaller than any other place. They are professionals and wont play with your cars nor your wallet.

Those guys are awesome. We used a few auto shops before we went to this place. Made me afraid of looking for a mechanic. They are honest. They dont look for fake problems to make your bill up. Their prices are fair And the service, nothing but perfect. I wish I'd met them way before. If i could I'd give them 10 stars. They are extremely polite, give you the attention you need, and they are fast.

Did and awesome job and went above and beyond! Even came in under the price they quoted! Took a couple of days to get in because they're busy and it's no wonder why they're amazing and reliable auto shop hard to find these days! Fix my air-conditioning right up! We will be back here for all our AUTO needs!

Bruce was very helpful. He and his team did a thorough inspection. I originally wanted the brakes looked at because I think I could hear them squeaking, and he explained the estimated percentage I had left on the front and rear brakes and that it was really the drums that needed resurfacing. I asked him to personally drive my vehicle around and he found that the clutch would need to be soon replaced as I suspected. He kept me informed of all the potential costs of parts and work. Thank you.

I've been using the Auto shop for a number of years now and have absolutely no complaints. Well maybe one, they never have coffee and doughnuts waiting for me when I get there. All kidding aside this is the best auto repair facility I've ever used. Bruce and Larry are very professional and easy to talk to, they care about every vehicle that leaves their shop.

Recently had a lot of work done on my Honda Civic here and would highly recommend them for so many reasons! They were very approachable and communicated thoroughly during the entire encounter. They called me 3 times during the day to update me on what was going on with the car and if anything changed, even if the price wasn't changing just to keep me posted.

When I picked the car up the price was more than reasonable for everything I had done and they gave me visual explanations of everything I had questions about. Would highly recommend and will be returning for any car needs!

As an out of towner traveling to Modesto to purchase a used vehicle, I needed to find an "auto shop" to do a vehicle inspection for me. I couldn't have made a better choice than The Auto Shop. Co-owner and crew did a thorough inspection at a very reasonable cost. Their shop and waiting room was immaculately clean and the overall experience was positive. If I was a Modesto resident I would have a shop that I would trust with all of my auto repair needs. Thank you Larry! I bought the vehicle!

I have been using the Auto Shop for 8 years after a referral from a friend. I had been bouncing form shop to shop looking for a mechanic that was Humble and Honest. hard to find until my first experience at the Auto Shop. I was a mechanic for several years for a small shop when I was a young man. I can fix most issues but leave the major ones to Bruce.

I have found The Auto Shop Honest and Truthful. The Auto Shop has worked on every car I have owned and all my family members. I get quick, accurate quotes for repair. I have never had to bring anything back for the same issue. I will NEVER use anyone else.

They do an amazing job! Over 6k worth of work done on two vehicles and taking in a third. Highly recommended.

I went to The Auto Shop to get a serpentine belt replaced that was squealing. The squeal is gone thanks to this place, and so is my embarrassing contribution to noise pollution. I also had a complete inspection/oil change where Bruce gave me a general diagnostic in addition to doing comprehensive routine maintenance such as tire rotation, fluid checks, pressure, battery. my car was inspected so that I can take care of it and keep driving it as long as possible. It's a family run business with an adorable, calm golden retriever that greets visitors and lays about.

I recommend this as a place of integrity, honesty, quality work. The guys know what they're doing. Also fixed another problem i had with a coolant leak in another vehicle. To sum up, highly recommend. it's my joint, i'll always come here.

Bought a new car almost two months ago, had to replace the starter, because it went out. During the process of replacing it, the battery had to be disconnected, what we didn't know was, disconnecting the battery causes the idle to get all messed up on the car we have. We couldn't figure out what was causing the car to die, so we brought it here.

Everyone here was extremely helpful and nice, had everything fixed and back to normal in a few hours! Plus, Bruce looked over my Dads smog papers, because his truck won't pass smog, even after replacing almost everything, he let us know what is causing it to fail smog, just by going over the paperwork! Sadly the repairs will cost a lot of cash lol, but at least we know what's going on! Definitely will be coming back here, and I definitely recommend this place to anyone needing car repairs!

These guys are AMAZING! They helped us with a botched job on our car (we tried to have it fixed somewhere else) and they fixed the problem and gave us an incredible deal! They even spent extra time on it to make sure it was done correctly, and still saved us money compared to what other places were asking! The service was beyond great, they treat you like family and are genuinely helpful! As long as we're in Modesto, this will be our "Go-To" shop!

Bruce is the best mechanic in town, probably in the world even. Fair priced, honest. I can do most of my own maintenance and repair, but when a job is too extensive for me, I only go to the Auto Shop!

They've diagnosed my two cars and repaired it properly each time at a very affordable rate. They treat you like you're family and that really says something in the auto repair business today.

The real test for me though was after a repair for my Toyota Avalon. A part that they replaced began to smoke a week after installation. I called up and told them what had happened, and they towed me from 1800 McHenry to their shop, went to Sacramento to get the new part I needed and had me back on the road in 4 hours the same day! And when a problem arises, you can tell the good from the bad Mechanics just by the way they "handle it!" You know what Best part was?

They didn't charge me for labor, parts or anything. They just took care of it. Who does that anymore? Well, they just honor their customers. Gosh if only all businesses could do this like they d?
