Auto M.D.'s provides the best value for your inspection dollar. You get knowledgeable, friendly technicians that have your best interests in mind and aren't trying to up sell services to you! Used vehicle inspections start at $139.00 for a 2-wheel drive vehicle with less than 100,000 miles. If you are considering a 4x4,A WD or a higher mileage vehicle add $25.00 each.
Do you have a vehicle with a long warranty period? Or one of the dreaded after-market extended warranties? Some manufacturers offer as much as 10 years or 100,000 mile warranties. Some offer 3 year, 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranties and 5 year, 50,000 or 60,000 miles Powertrain or drivetrain warranties.
1. Get referrals from satisfied customers, friends, neighbors and co-workers. 2. Locate an A.S.E.* certified (or equivalent) technician. Go with technician or foreman on road test to reproduce symptoms. Be willing to pay for diagnostic time. Don't send your vehicle with someone else unfamiliar with the problem.

I needed an on-site PPI quickly. After a pretty negative phone call with lemon squad, I found Automotive MD and the process was both a seamless and cheaper experience. Rob was friendly and knows what he's doing. He was able to inspect the car with 24 hr notice while I was out of the state and immediately sent over the inspection on completion, then called me to talk through it (reviews for other companies stated they took days to send the full report). I'd definitely recommend Automotive MD to anyone in the Denver area looking for an inspection.

Robis AWESOME. He has evaluated 2 vehicles for me and I don't think I have ever felt better about spending the money. Absolutely WORTH IT! Definitely saved me from buying a subpar vehicle and validated my choice in the car I ended up buying. Don't buy a used car without calling him first. You get a complete evaluation and road test along with a comprehensive report.
He is a nice guy who came out on a Friday evening when I had gotten the appointment time wrong. A sweetheart and a great service. Couldn't recommend him and his business more!

Rob helped add peace of mind during my used car purchase. I appreciate that Auto MD's just inspects and doesn't do repairs themselves. That alone brought a level of trust when looking for a third-party pre-purchase inspection. Had the inspection revealed any impending need for repairs or undisclosed wear-and-tear, Auto MD's breaks down what you might expect to pay to get things fixed (i.e. less than $250, over $250, over $500).
You also get two pages in thorough detail breaking down what condition everything is in when inspected (i.e. OK, marginal, not satisfactory), giving you some perspective if in the future someone claims maintenance is required that doesn't make sense. In addition, the dealership where I purchased the car forgot to reset the oil maintenance notification on the car when they changed the oil and didn't offer any advice on how to do so myself beyond recommending I contact Toyota. Rob kindly explained the simple procedure when I reached out to him.

Rob from Automotive MDs was able to put my mind at ease about the used car I had just purchased and even offered some insights I hadn't considered. He showed up on time and answered all the questions I had. (Turns out I had unwittingly called in the Sherlock Holmes of coolants.) Great customer service from a super friendly technician. The inspection was thorough, taking a little over an hour, and concluding with a two-page checklist of all the different systems and issues they might have run into. Rob went over the entire checklist with me and pointed out the areas that weren't fully satisfactory. (One of these was the windshield wiper blades, to give an idea of how detailed the inspection gets.) Everything checked out, I got to stop worrying about the car, and I even got my brake pads replaced by the dealer for free based on Rob noting their wear. Highly recommended service. Reasonable cost and well worth it, even if just for peace of mind.

Looked at buying a car in Denver through Craigslist, but living 400 miles away made it difficult to independently assess the vehicle's condition. Contacted Rob to see if he could schedule an appointment w/ the owner and perform the inspection. He was able to email the owner, scheduled the appointment and performed the inspection in a very expedited manner. Rob called me after the inspection to go over the whole report with me on the phone.
He sent me a copy of the report, which I forwarded to a friend who owns a Motorsports shop. He looked at Rob's report and found it to be very thorough. Price was absolutely reasonable. I would definitely recommend Auto MD's.

Well worth the investment, Rob blew away my expectations. I cannot recommend Auto Md's enough, Rob is methodical, thorough and has the attention to detail to give you piece of mind even while buying a car from nearly 800 miles away. The holy grail of diagnostic services! We were buying a 2016 Used Jeep and wanted to make sure it wasn't a lemon. Rob met us at the dealership to inspect the vehicle. We went and got lunch and came back about 1.5 hours later to hear his thoughts. This guy is good. He noticed the smallest of things. For example, he could tell that the hood had previously been removed by looking at one of the bolts (and the bubbles on the hood label).
Sure enough, the vehicle had been in a minor fender-bender causing front damage. More importantly, Rob noticed that the transmission gasket pan indicated a possible leak. Before buying the vehicle, we made sure that the dealer addressed all issues. Rob is friendly, thorough, prompt, and professional. At the end of his inspection, he went through a comprehensive checklist line-by-line to explain his findings.
He charges $160/inspection, which turns out to be priceless for the peace of mind. We knew exactly what we were buying and didn't have to worry about latent issues popping up in the future. Thanks again Rob for your wonderful service!
