Dropped my car off yesterday for ac repair since it had started blowing hot, service was great and the people were extremely friendly. The price I paid was exceedingly more than fair and I plan on returning here for any of my future ac needs

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They explained exactly what my car needed and gave me a fair quote. They even finished the job early, to my surprise! Definitely recommend if your AC is giving you issues - now my AC works!

Extremely unprofessional. my a/c went out so I stopped by for a quote on how much it would be to repair. I waited 2 hours for my car just for them to tell me that they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car, charged me $87 and my a/c was never fixed. the same day, an employee named dylan looked in my paperwork for my number and texted me inappropriate and unprofessional messages offering his services outside of work.

I disregarded the messages but I later had my car checked from jack furrier for other issues, they ended up telling me whoever last checked my car did a terrible job as my power steering lines were clipped along with multiple other issues, with them first telling me "somebody messed with your car". firmly believing this dylan guy purposely was aiming for me to reach out to him to get this issue resolved. i highly don't recommend coming here especially if you're a young woman. the entire time dylan kept smiling at me very creepy and wouldn't stop talking to me, even offering to drop off wooden pallets at my house (when I asked the female manager if the pallets by the dumpster were going to be thrown out because I was interested in them.) DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS BUSINESS. EXTREMELY DISGUSTING, DISRESPECTFUL, UNCOMFORTABLE AND INAPPROPRIATE. to dylan, you're mother raised you wrong.

I was going to take my car to Brakemasters but then I found this low-key spot, AZ Auto Refrigeration. Now I don't think I'll ever take my car to Brakemasters again. Zach gave impeccable service and they were very reasonable. Not to mention my AC is cold as a polar bear in the Arctic.

Over the last 3 years my ac would constantly break down. After taking to a number of repair places I finally found Arizona Auto Refrigeration. These are some of the best people! after countless times of not having the best ac especially during the summer now I'm freezing! I think they'll always remember the black Ford Fusion

They are the nicest people here! I took my truck to a chain auto place because my AC was blowing out very hot air. The chain place gave me a list of things that needed to be replaced and quoted me $720. I was then recommended to bring my truck here by my brother in law and they got me in and inspected the truck and told me none of those things needed to be replaced and I only ended up paying $200 for repairs.

And it only took them a day! They are life savers. They were very nice in explaining what was wrong and what needed to be replaced and double checking on things the chain place said I needed fixed. They also let me stay inside the cool air a little after closing as I was still waiting on my rental car pickup ride. If you want kind, honest, and timely done work come here!

I looked on Car fax and this was the company that did the new brake job before I bought my car. They did an ok job but didn't perform the job correctly. The brake fluid was old and had been over heated from previous owner/s and needed to be flushed. Easily identified buy the color and smell. Old fluid was causing braking issues after the brake lines heated up during daily driving.

They didn't not adjust the rear brakes properly or even close to it. Both these issues combined caused for a very unsafe car while driving in the heat of AZ, causing brake pedal fade and bad shudders and vibrations. Thankfully as a mechanic myself this was all easily corrected. Update to owners response on 8/25/2020: Carfax has you labeled as doing the AC and the brakes. Maybe you were trying to do the dealership a solid, whatever the case you guys are reported as the ones who did the break job on carfax. Thank you.

Do not waste your time going anywhere else this is the best place in the Southwest to get your AC blowing super-cold air again. I had a 2001 Jaguar S-type that gave me issues for the last couple of months, it was actually blowing HOT air which is no fun when it's 104 outside, staff was super helpful, efficient, and the environment here is VIRUS SAFE, great team.then the bill came and I was shocked at how low it was.totally worth it, don't drive around with no ac these guys are great and inexpensive, will definately be the only place I use from here on out!

My family has used this place for over 20 years. Unfortunately I recently took my Enclave for a replacement hose and to have the A/C charged cost was almost $500.00 I no sooner got home and NO cold air i took it back and Mark kept the car over night. I picked it up and the unit wouldn't turn on? Avetually I got it on still warm air. I was so upset thinking about what I paid $500 for he answered with they need another $1200 for air dryer! HMM? I am very disappointed!

I took my old Lexus to Firestone three times. Three times they failed to fix it. I honestly don't think they even looked at it the last time. I took it to AZ Auto Refrigeration, and they fixed it right the first time. It's been working perfect ever since. They were polite and charged a fair price. I was actually surprised how cheap it was. I own four cars, from now on they get my business

Made an appointment for 9:00. Arrived at 8:45. At 9:10 asked if anyone was going to look at my vehicle and was assured they would be right there. At 9:30 I gave it up and retrieved my key and left. Would give zero star rating if system allowed.

I was told that I'd better take my 2006 car to the dealer, so I made an appointment there. Was told I'd have to wait for a "diagnostic" which was, by the way, $125. It would be awhile so I could go look at new cars. I picked up my keys and walked out. My husband remembered AZ Auto Refrigeration from many years ago. Long story short_ They fixed it in one day for less than $100. It's great! No problems at all and it's been a year. I recommend them to everyone!

Dave took care of my old car's old AC quickly, efficiently, and within my budget. Don't waste your time going anywhere else in Tucson! Excellent service. Gail

Dropped my car off around 9am just to have my AC looked at because it wasn't blowing cold air. I did not hear back from them until I called a little after 3. The guy at the front desk "lost" my number. He told me he entered it wrong into the system.but it was correct on another form.then backpedaled saying the system sometimes puts in the wrong numbers.?

He then tried to blame my AC not working from an accident I had 5 years ago when they didn't install the O ring properly.then says it was probably just from the heat. And as all auto places do he tried to tell me my cabin filter needed to be changed despite it just being changed. He then backpedals and says it just had a few leaves in it so he blew them out.

This is a shady business and I don't recommend them. But my ac does blow nice and cold. Edit: I don't know how I forgot this part but they performed work without my consent. The guy at the front desk said he doesn't usually like to Spend other peoples money but he thought it was OK since he couldn't get a hold of me.

Best service in town.had problems with my ac on Grand Marquis.4 hrs later problems fixed.thank u Dave at Ariz Auto and Tech.

I had done business wih AZ Auto before and was happy with the service. This time I had to take my daughter's car to have to a/c fixed. They found what the issue was and took care of it with no problem. The staff were very professional and kept me updated with the progress of the repair as well as letting me know the estimate for the repairs. I give thanks to Greg and Cathy for all their help and understanding awesome people to deal with. I would recommend AZ Auto Refrigeration to any one. Again thank you to all the staff. Roy Montoya

I was from out of town, on limited funds, and had a completely FAILED air conditioner. These people were absolutely marvelous. There were two parts of the system that needed to be replaced before the issue could be addressed. One of the parts isn't even made by the factory any more. THEY MADE THE DISCHARGE HOSE IN THEIR SHOP. Fixed the problem(s) and had me back on the road the same day. If you go anywhere else for A/C service in Tucson, you're going to the wrong place.

Never again. AC wasn't working too well. Took it to them as a recommendation from a friend. Asked them to evaluate what was wrong. They did a "top off" and said that if that doesn't work. I would need to take it back for the following: Replace Compressor, Condenser, Discharge Hose, Expansion Valve, evacuate and recharge AC (which is fair), expansion block, and rapidseal kit.

They marked up the parts. Compressor from VW is $407, they quoted $459. Total job was just under $1,500. Got an independent AC mobile mechanic to come look at it (same day). Said there was a ton of air and they put the wrong fluid in my system, surprised that it worked as little as it did. Charged me $160 to clean it, flush it, and manually calibrate the AC gauge (or whatever it's called). Works fantastic! Better than it ever has. I went there passing though a road trip when my A/C gave out in one of the hottest temps I've been around in a long time. I read some questionable reviews on yelp and google but needed help since it was Friday morning and weekend was approaching. There was an older man and woman behind the counter as you walk in. I explained my situation and the lady was the only one that acknowledged me after I stood there for a while.

She told me they couldn't help me since my problem seemed more complex than ac service. The lady told me that maybe after 2pm they could look at it but it probably wouldn't be solved. The man seemed grumpy and he only spoke when the lady asked him what he thought. He never looked at me as he just replied to her about my situation as if I wasn't there.

I think this is the same man others have posted on being uninterested. I'm happy the lady guided me to their other location which sadly couldn't fix my problem either but I appreciated the options. The old man needs to go if they want to keep customers happy and not have poor reviews. Disappointed overall.

Am I ever happy about the service here. My 2010 Suzuki stopped cooling. It had been my late husband's car and I had hoped to pass it on to a grandson in a few years. Suzuki stopped selling cars in the US in 2012. Parts are a problem. A $1500 estimate elsewhere. A recommendation by the wonderful A and M Shell to bring the car to Arizona Auto Refrigeration. One day to diagnose and fix, calling to update me, a bill of $200. How do I feel about them? "They're cool." Highly recommended.

If customer service matters to you, if dealing with nice human beings matters to you ON TOP of a good product with excellent value, then come here. My car AC broke and Midas wanted to charge me close to $2K for a new compressor. Arizona Auto Refrigeration charged me HALF THAT in total- yep, $1K and it works perfectly! My car was ready earlier than they said, they stayed late for me so I could pick up my car the same day I dropped it off, and they even worked with me on a payment issue I had. EXCELLENT customer service, value and quality. HIGHLY recommend :-

I have had these people work on my cars for many years and have always been treated well and professionally. Recently, however, I ran into a big problem with a rude, macho employee who treated me very badly causing me to begin the process of bringing a small claims legal action against them. When I found out the owner had died just three days after he worked on my car I decided to give them one last chance to rectify the situation.

I left my number and the business manager Kathy called me. She was very nice and apologetic and made prompt restitution for the problem. She also informed me that the rude employee was no longer with the company. Good! He was just a bully looking to beat up on someone.now he's an unemployed bully.

Was treated poorly when I went older gentleman was rude. I had a misunderstanding about an A.C. check and he talked clean to me like I was a 2 year old.

UPDATE Received a very concerned email from the owner, and he met my husband 1:1 when he went to pick up the vehicle. He seemed genuinely concerned and committed to ensuring this did not happen again and addressing the situation. That coupled with a good solid AC repair promoted the update. Hopefully under him, he can motivate his team to be better.

Five stars because this is a stand up business. I took my car in for the basic a/c service and during the service they informed me they found other problems, which of course they recommended I address. Due to cost I declined to have the additional services done at that time. I appreciated that they were matter of fact about my decision not to authorize, and they did not pressure me further at that point. Then, after I was all paid up and had left with my vehicle, I noticed something was not right with my car.

Even though the issue was technically not their "fault" and a lesser business might have said it was my tough luck, they didn't hesitate to have me bring my car back in right away to correct the problem, thus returning my vehicle in the same working order as when I brought it in. That went a long way in my impression of this shop. I was particularly impressed with the mechanics who had a very helpful and professional attitude about problem solving the issue. Arizona Auto Refrigeration will get my business back for follow up a/c services, as well as referrals to people I know needing a/c services, because after this experience they demonstrated integrity, competence and trustworthiness.

I was trying to find a place to take my husbands car to get the AC fixed but didn't want a huge hole burned into my pocket like most places will try to do to you. Arizona Auto Refrigeration took in his car, called me with the problem and estimate and then fixed the car all the same day and it didn't cost us an arm and a leg. The two up front, particularly Dave, are so kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the business I had with them and will continue to go to them for AC/heater issues so long as I live in Tucson.

It used to be the best place in town. The old crew was very hospitable and good customer service. Bob has a new guy working the desk who is flat out rude and doesn't know anything. I'll never come back.

I needed to get my auto air conditioner serviced because it was blowing warm at stops, so I called to make an appointment. When I walked in I was greeted by the owner who took my keys and had someone come take it back to be serviced. This is the epitome of small business in tucson, seemed like an old shop that had been there for quite a while. I felt like I was in good hands.

My bill was $89 for a servicing which included the normal check up and top off. My ac is now cool, and thank goodness because it was 109* today. Thanks AZ Auto Refrigeration for keeping me cool.

This place saved me today. I am going on a road trip tomorrow and my AC wasn't blowing cold. I went to 2 other mechanics who couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then I dropped my 4Runner off at this place, walked to campus, and by the time my class was over, my AC was fixed at a very reasonable price. Yes!
