My Acura RDX had some wild electrical issues going on! I was reluctantly thinking it may be time to trade it in because finding electrical problems can be very expensive. I happily saw an advertisement for this mechanic and they did not disappoint! Dave & Jason took good care of me and it was my first time there. So glad I found them and I don't have to go to the dealership anymore.

Had my rear brakes done. The estimate was $450 for rotors & pads, but they found a frozen caliper. That brought the job up to $620. (ouch) Having said that, this is work on a 2005 Acura RL (15 year old car) and things freeze/break. To take a little of the pain away, AAS flushed all the brakes for free. Good guys. My RL now stops like a race car. Thank you!

We have been a customer of Advanced Auto Sciences for years and they are the ONLY shop that my family uses for auto servicing and repairs. I have two non-Honda cars (15 and 17 years old) and Dave has been helping me keep them going with both normal services and some major repairs. He knows car mechanics, is practical and dependable. Best of all he is honest and not a gouger.

His costs are fair, which is far better than dealer costs. He has saved me a lot of money. My relationship with Jason, his other mechanic, only goes back a few years. He appears to have come from the same mold as Dave. I highly recommend Advanced Auto Sciences for any auto work.

I have brought my car in for regular service appointments for a few years now, and have always been so impressed with the timeliness, honesty, and knowledge. What is prompting me to write this review however is what happened today. My battery died, and after getting jumped from a neighbor, they were able to take me right away and 10 minutes later had a new battery, and nothing more to worry about. They took the stress right out of this situation, almost quicker than it began.

This place is great- I am never going to the dealership again. They are quick and to the point on what needs to be done to your Honda/Acura. Dave and his crew know these cars inside and out. Their loaner cars are nice and the waiting area is nice too.

Always a positive experience! Dave and his crew have always fixed it correctly the first time and at a much better price than the dealers. Their knowledge of Honda vehicles is unsurpassed. Additionally, they will honestly tell you if it does not need to be fixed even though the dealer said it did. Friendly, good, honest, reasonably priced service all the time.

I was so pleased with the service I received here that I thought I needed to write a shining review, but it seems that's the only kind of review these guys get- and rightly so! My mom has gone to these guys for years and I finally had an issue with my Accord that I brought to them. It turned out not to be a very straight forward fix, so they really had to do some trouble shooting to get it fixed. Now a few weeks after the repair the car is running as good as ever. These guys are the best!

Dave and his team at Advanced Auto Sciences are the most honest and helpful people that I've ever encountered when I've needed work done on my cars. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, in fact I'd recommend buying a Honda or Acura so yo can have the peace of mind of knowing you have an honest shop to work with.

I have now taken my car to these guys a couple of times now, and both visits couldn't have been better. The service is outstanding, their knowledge of Honda and Acura cars is second to none, and their work is stellar. They specialize in Honda family cars and they make it aware so that there are no confusions. They are a popular destination for the area so don't wait until the last minute to get your car fixed as many times they are booked days in advance. If you need a check up, an oil change or a more in-depth job done on your Honda or Acura the guys at Advanced Auto Science is the team for the job.

I've been in three times now for service, and I recommend them for good work, reasonable costs, and a high level of customer service. Last time was 10/2017. I went to use my Acura after four weeks of non-use following surgery, and the car was making a noise in the brakes. They said to bring it in same day for a road test, and they (Dave) gave me a diagnosis and estimate, I took a loaner for which they did not charge me, and next day I picked up my car for a bill that was two-thirds of Dave's estimate (it wasn't as extensive as they thought). What's not to like?

Dave and Jason are the best. They wor ked on my Odyssey, and now my Pilot, for years. Most recently, looking for a used car, I've brought them several to check out and totally trust their judgment. I was able to get out of a purchase because Advanced Auto diagnosed an issue and the seller was not able to fix it. I feel like I dodged a bullet! I'll be taking any potential future purchases to Dave and team to check out.

This review in no way reflects my opinion of Dave on a personal level; I think he's a really decent guy that is very easy to talk to and works hard. That being said, after having taken in my Pilot in for its 3rd complete exhaust replacement, I feel compelled to leave this review. The issue is that Advanced Auto (or their parts supplier) provides sub-quality aftermarket exhaust systems that come with awe-inspiring "lifetime warranties." Well, that warranty sounds great except I'm lucky if these brand-new exhausts last a year before rot pokes holes in the cheap Chinese metal and my truck sounds like it's ready for Nascar.

Advanced swapped out the parts twice already BUT they also charged me 1-2 hours of labor every time it's been replaced "under warranty." I don't know if this is part of Advanced Auto Science's business model but after my 3rd exhaust developed a hole, I'm all set being a sucker and bringing my truck back to them. This pains me to write because I'd much rather support a local business than give my hard-earned $ to a stealership but enough is enough.

Never go to the dealer again! I just took a friend's Honda van in because it was making a horrible noise on the rear right wheel. I thought I was going to have to drop it off and give my friend the bad news that she was facing a big bill. But one of the owners David took a quick look, diagnosed the issue as a missing bolt and quickly fixed it. In 20 minutes and for almost nothing he had us on the road -- honest, friendly and quick. Wow! All Honda owners in the area should look here first.

At last, I have found a place I can put my trust in for Honda care. Tired of having oil changes that precipitated attempts to promote unneeded expenses such as maintenance way ahead of schedule. 20+ miles from home and I don't care. Peace of mind is worth the drive.

Dave and his team are fair and honest. Getting regular Honda service on my 2015 Fit (and my Civic before that) has been quick, easy and pleasant. Prices are generally less than the local dealership, and the experience is much faster and more enjoyable (this includes oil changes - they recently changed suppliers and are now able to offer a very competitively priced oil change). They will not charge you for things that you don't need, and they explain things in a way that you can understand. Just a great place all around.

My wife and I have used David for nearly a decade. We used to live in Acton, but moved to another town more than 2 years ago. From my new home to Acton, it takes about 40 minutes without traffic and often an hour or more during rush hours. Yet, I still take all my cars to David for all service needs. The quality and the affordability of the services David provides is still worth the occasional long drive. David is a skillful and honest person that you can depend on.

He not only excels at the technical competency but is a man of integrity who does not try to talk you into unnecessary repair. It is a blessing that I haven't had to take my cars to dealership for the past 10 years or so ever since I found David, even though I have always purchased new cars. In my opinion, there simply is not a single reason to take your cars to the dealership that often seems more interested in ripping you off than solving your real problems at affordable price.

For over 10 years, I've only purchased Honda cars, not only because I like this brand (although there are some other brands that I equally like) but also because I knew I could depend on David for all servicing needs. I wish David serviced other brands as well. Maybe it's time for me to buy an Acura. I highly recommend David to anyone who owns Honda or Acura.

Earlier this week I brought my car to Advanced Auto Sciences for the third time. My first two visits were fantastic! I was able to schedule an appointment that fit within my schedule and the work was completed quickly and very affordably. I even mentioned a few things that the local dealership suggested, only to be told that most of the suggested work was not necessary.

Clearly they were looking out for MY best interest and were not trying to perform work that was not needed. Also, the work that was needed came in at a much better price than the dealership's quote. What really impressed me was my third visit this past week. I had car troubles over the weekend and had the car towed to AAS. They called me first thing Monday morning to say they could look at the car that day.

They were actually able to diagnose and fix the issue within a few hours so I was able to have my car back later that same afternoon. I am amazed they were able to do all of this, even without an appointment! I will happily bring my car back to AAS for all future work!

Been coming to Dave with my Hondas for the past 5+ years. I must say that he's not your average garage/mechanic and much more than that. His demeanor is professional, his rates are reasonable and he does all sorts of repairs and does a pretty good job. In the last 5 years, never been disappointed. I recommend you check him out even for a second opinion and see for yourself.

This is the best Honda/Acura mechanic around. I have been bringing my Hondas to Dave for over 10 years. He never tries to sell me things I don't need, he saves me money where he can. He is honest about what I should do, what I shouldn't do, what can wait and what needs to be done right away.

Yup. Another 5 star rating. I've been using Dave for over 10 years, never disappointed. Well, not exactly true. He only works on Hondas, so my Hyundai can't get Dave's brand of TLC and value. *sigh*

There's a reason Dave gets 5 stars across the board. He does a good job, always reasonably priced, excellent at communication, very, very polite and pleasant. I have two, ahem, shall I say "vintage" Civics. He has kept them running beautifully. We are at the point where he is suggesting we stop repairing one of them - my favorite one - sniff.

But he's not going to keep taking my money, and let me go down that road of trying to keep it going too long. Honest, honorable, good at what he does, sure seems like he still loves what he does. What more can anyone ask?

I was in search of repair shop after being unhappy with the dealership I had been taking my Acura to. I found Advanced Auto Sciences through a search on the net and I am VERY glad I did. Dave is indeed all the great things people post about him. The problem I brought my car into was for a strange noise I was hearing after driving the car for a few miles. Dave found the problem.

The part was an expensive one but Dave went out of his way to see if a used part was available. He found one and I chose to go that route. I saved quite a bit of money and the car is running great. This place is definitely a hidden jewel.

As others have already mentioned in their interviews Dave is the person to take your Acura or Honda for repairs and maintenance issues that are handled in a professional manner that is so refreshing. I have been a Honda owner of various models for over twenty years and Dave is the most knowledgable, honest and professional I have met in dealing with repairs and maintenance.

I have stopped going to Honda dealerships where they oversell maintenance, overcharge for repairs and nickel and dime you for everything. I am glad that I found Dave and Advanced Auto Sciences and you will be too!

Dave has repaired our Acura and Honda for years and he always does a great job, from diagnosing what's wrong to getting the job done right. My wife, who can be vague in her description of car problems, always tells the tale of Dave's laying on of hands on the hood of her car to ascertain what was wrong (his diagnosis was correct and the remedy was spot on). And, while some repairs are necessarily expensive, Dave has fixed numerous problems for FREE that have flummoxed other mechanics entirely, including a rain water leak in the drivers-side door, fixed in 5 minutes after another trusted mechanic AND the dealer could not figure out the problem. Nice guy, straight shooter.

This small business is owned and operated by Dave H. who performs all the work on his customers cars. He is young, service oriented, technologically adept and he really knows his way around a Honda (and a lot of other cars for that matter). He is reliable, trustworthy, and he'll tell you how to save money on repairs when possible. I'll take a brand new car to Dave before I'll take it to a dealer. He also does warranty work on Honda's.
