I can honestly say the purchasing, the time of shipping and presentation was great. My problem is I can not get anyone on the phone afterwards. I have been trying to talk to these people about my warranty and core charge refund for two months now. I have emailed and left messages no one has returned my call. It seems that everything is good when the customer is paying and your core is shipped afterwards they don't care.

You've had my hemi motor 2 times in less than 10k miles for defective bearings on the crank. I sent it back at your request complete with everything on the long block for over a year and no one ever answers your phone. I haven't even gotten an update. The only time I get ahold of someone is when I call sales, then I'm told they will call me back by the same guy that answers the warranty dept. I've been dealing with this for over a year and my patience is running out. I want my money back along with my complete motor

Ok guys! I have an issue where the oil gauge drops to L When I either stop at a light or make a turn? The engines compression is 165 in 3 cylinders and 155 in cylinder 1. Other than that the jeep runs great. I've called and No response! Ron? Lanny?

This place will sell you broken parts, and broken dreams of having your car back within 6 months. Warrantied repairs sit there forever. I've heard Lanny screaming at a women for threatening to get a lawyer involved after her warrantied work sat there for 4 months with nothing done to it. The guys that work there work hard and do a fairly decent job.

But Lanny is a horrible person. Do yourself a favor and pay a few hundred bucks elsewhere. At least you'll get your car back within the year and it's more probable you won't be taking it back because of broken parts.

Rip off! Buyer beware! As soon as they get your money, they disappear. They won't communicate, and it's just an enormous scam. Don't go there! If you do, charge it on your credit card, so you can protest and cancel it.

These people are crooks! Do NOT purchase from them! First off, the only person that answers calls is the sales dept. (Red Flag). Then the ship dates are lies all across the board. Next they sell you a partial short block for a completed long block price. No heads, no gaskets, no oil pump, no lifters, the block is not remanufactured, the block screw holes are not cleaned and rethreaded as they are when rebuilt. its like they shot paint on it and shipped it.

Do not believe their lies! Update: the ford dealership that installed for me got my truck started, once it warmed up, the freezeplugs started pouring antifreeze out. This motor was NOT a rebuild/remanufacture. It more than likely was the last buyers core sent in.

We had nothing but trouble with Accurate Engines. The ONLY time they were responsive was when we were ordering from them, and they wanted the money. After that - nothing. Once we figured out they weren't going to come through for us, we canceled our order. They would never respond or acknowledge that we canceled our order even though we emailed, called AND texted Ron in sales and the admin. Tony (an independent contractor who worked for them) told us he put in the paperwork to cancel the order, and to contact Brittney to confirm.

She would never answer the phone! Then they wanted to charge 10% to refund our money, not mentioning that fact until AFTER we got the invoice and paid it. They wanted to keep 10%, even though they had done NOTHING! We canceled our order because they were not communicating with us. Then, a month later, they unexpectedly, with no tracking or email notification, sent a transmission to a shop. We will not pay for shipping to send it back. Beware of this company!

I sent an engine to be rebuilt the first week in January. They rebuilt it, sent it back only to find the timing cover was broke. I bought a new cover, installed it in my jeep now to find that the rear main seal was bad. I fixed that. Had the motor for 2,y es two months and dropped a valve. Sent the motor back in April and here it is the end of October and I still dont have my motor. Tried numerous times to contact them, left return numbers and messages but no luck.

If I ever get my motor back I promise I will never use this company again. The fine people at Auto zone recommend this company to rebuild my motor. Bad recommendation on their part. I just wish they would call me to get this issue resolved. Al

ZERO STARS! VERY unprofessional! They don't answer the phones! you have to drive out there- everything is everybody else's fault! They had my car three weeks after the promised date. I was told my car needed extra parts when nothing was wrong with them when I brought my car in- the girl in the office doesn't know anything. Where is the manager? What time do they close? What time do they open? Who worked on my car? They close at different times. NOT HELPFUL! DON'T- DON'T!- why are they still open to keep FRAUDING customers

Once again I am very satisfied with the work on rebuilding our Buick engine at Accurate Engines. They are extremely busy and it took quite awhile to complete the job but Lanny kept me updated as the job went along. They did extremely professional work and returned our car running great. I also want to thank them for the recommendations to replace other parts that showed wear as long as they had the engine out.

This has saved me the repairs in my garage. I didn't ask for me to inspect what they recommended because of past relationships we built and the honesty that Lanny would never compromise his reputation on. Thank you so much.

Buyers beware This is the WORST company EVER! I brought an engine in November 2019 for a 2010 Chevy Silverado hybrid and 2 engines later still don't have the correct engine. The lack of communication with this company is horrible. I've never delt with a business that only texts, it seem like. I thought I did my homework with reading the reviews and researching but clearly not well enough. 2021 still nothing done no refund nor engine fix. Just PLEASE DON'T NOT SHOP HERE! BUYER BEWARE! Their professionalism and service is below subpar. They had my vehicle 2 months after the time I was told it would be done. For their team to have the police show up to my doorstep for their loaner car that needs service itself. Returned their vehicle immediately regardless if mine was fixed. Would not recommend to anyone spending their hard earned money or to people of color.

Good company. Had freeze plug seepage at first but good after 5,000. 24,000 on engine now & truck stays hooked to tool filled 12' enclosed trailer. *Very noticeable power increase over original engine **UPDATE 6/20/20** 1998 F150 Lariat > Over 60k (over 300k on truck, now retired back to personal use) and still confident she'll start

Years ago these guys rebuilt a motor in my Cutlass. Less than 500 miles and the head gasket blew and almost stranded us in the middle of nowhere in winter with two kids in the back. They never did fix it right after bringing it back several times and when I checked into suing them, I was told to take a number and good luck. Can't believe they are still in business. Stay away!

I only give them one star because there isn't an option for zero! Bought a HEMI engine and had it installed at a great local mechanic. Well, less than a year later, the engine blows, no worries Accurate Engines have a warranty. LOL, well, I thought so. I had to arrange for the engine to get freighted back to Accurate, I had to arrange for the engine to get freighted back to me, I had the truck in the shop with no engine for 6 weeks while I waited on accurate, all the while paying for a rental.

They said it was coming but they lied, as I found out was pretty normal for them. After about 8000 dollars of labor, rental car fees, and freight, they reimbursed me a whopping 900 bucks. Yeah, I can't tell you enough how you need to stay away from these people. I called the BBB, I even called the local press to look into it. The absolute worst company I ever did business with. A bunch of frauds. Go somewhere else. Beware. save yourself.

Great team, great rebuild, great response, and a very happy customer. I purchased a 4.0L 6cyl. rebuild for a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Laredo to replace my loudly tapping 200K original engine. I bought the vehicle used, put about 30K on it and the noise started, with 200K I wasn't going to guess at what was wrong, I wanted a complete solution. I found Accurate Engines and the price was the best of all I compared.

They didn't disappoint, Tony made sure I had the right long block, Lanny & BParker made sure the shipping back and forth process was clear. Any questions I had, they responded, I will purchase from them again. I suggest if you do go for an engine rebuild replacement. FIND A PROFESSIONAL CERTIFIED MECHANIC that you know and trust. Oil pressure must be present before starting a new engine and the engine must be run at 1500~1800 RPM for at least 20 minutes when first started for the cam(s) to break in. They deliver a good product! Thank You Accurate Engines!

Lanny is an irresponsible character. He came off as very knowledgeable about our specific needs. I had sent a Chrysler engine to him to rebuild that was specific to a fork lift. The mounts and cylinder head bolt patterns on the engine sent back were completely different and none of the fork lift accessories would bolt up. Next thing he wanted us to do was send the new engine back along with our pull to rebuilt that specific engine.

Two weeks lost! Engine came back rebuilt with a new cylinder head. All the fork lift specific mounts were missing after the block was rebuilt. It took several weeks of Lanny sending one piece at a time by UPS. 3 more weeks wasted. They should of thrown all our accessories in a box and sent them back, but the mechanics threw everything in their "junk bin" and had to fish through it to send us our parts back.

Finally get the engine installed and after being back at the customer, it starts pouring oil smoke after 2 days. Removing this engine again, to fix it again is about a 25 hour process removing all the hydraulic accessories bolted to the motor and removing the external back end of the fork lift. Lanny sounded knowledgeable at the beginning, but I would never consider Accurate Engines again!

I don't know anything about engines other than I need one AND if I ever need service, this is the place to go. They accurately (just like their name) diagnosed the issue, solved the problem thoroughly, kept me informed as the service progressed, and stayed within the estimate. Everything has been running smoothly since my car was serviced a few months back. I couldn't be more pleased with the skill, expertise, and really, the service. Recommend them highly.

My husband's rebuilt engine has lasted many years, and still going strong. I'm very happy to have dealt with this company. They were honest from the start. They gave us a reasonable price, too.

Look out for these guys. I ended up with one of their bad engines while doing business with Powertrains Direct. I wish I could have checked their BBB profile, but didn't realize that the engine wasn't coming directly from Powertrains Direct. these companies may be owned by the same person or group, but I don't know for sure. I had a very similar experience to the one Roberto did.

I purchased an engine from them and it began to overheat as soon as we started to drive it. A diagnosis determined that there were combustion gasses in the cooling system. This is an indication that either the head is cracked or the head gasket has failed. In either case, doing a repair doesn't require removing the engine. Accurate Engines is insisting that we remove the engine and ship it to them in order to decide if they are going to honor the warranty.

They have set it up in such a way that it costs more to collect on the warranty then it does to just fix it yourself. Their BBB profile (29 complaints open and 100% negative reviews) tells me that I can't trust them to do the right thing, even if I do ship the engine to them at my own expense. Take my advice and avoid doing business with Accurate Engines or Powertrains Direct.

I helped my customer order a 4.7 engine from this company. The original engine was still in running order but would overheat. upon receiving the reman engine and installing, the engine started making noise from the lifters. This was less than 15 miles on engine. We contacted Accurate Engine with our concerns but was told to drive the vehicle 500 miles to see if this would cure the problem.

In the meantime they also asked if we replaced the plenum and we told them no. The plemun was cleaned and blowen out because the original engine was not blowen up. Whoever Jen is quickly said that because the plenum wasn't replaced, they would not warranty the engine even though they charged him 69.00 for a warranty. We have been 2 months getting the replacement engine and getting it installed. Jen is still saying they will not pay any labor.

She also sent me pictures of 2 different pistons and said that was the issue and they would fix the problem foe no charge. The next conversation we had via text because she won't return phone calls, was they were rebuilding the head because this was the issue. She evidently doesn't know whats going on herself. My customer now has his vehicle with his new plenum and I am struck with a bill for labor that I won't get. But that is my business ethics. I rather have returning customers, than people who can ruin my business with bad reviews.

I paid for a "complete rebuild" on a 3.5L Nissan motor. The price tag ran at $2,300 for what I initially thought was some quality work. I'm afraid not. Not even 1,500 miles later a metal on metal grinding noise came started coming from the timing housing. Now the only way to access the timing housing is to pull the motor back out, for which they wanted another $700.

If they did a complete rebuild the timing chain should have been replaced along with any tensioners held within the housing, and they certainly neglected. They have had my only vehicle for over a month now, after the customer service manager told me it was going to be 7-10 business days turnaround time to repair what should have been replaced in the first place.

I called once a week for the last 4 weeks and their response was the same each time, "Your car will be done by the end of the week." and here we are on the 5th week and they don't even have the parts on hand to make the necessary repairs. To be completely honest, I wouldn't even let these clowns work on my son's hot wheels cars after this poor experience.

They are dishonest, tell you what you want to hear, and lack any form of business professionalism. I would avoid this business like the plague and take your hard earned money elsewhere. Hope this review helps any that may find themselves in my same position.

Ordered an engine for a customer on 4/12 and I was told they are in stock ready to be shipped out. After a few days with no email or anything from them I call back. I was told oh yea it's shipping out today. No email no nothing a few days later. Call a week after originally ordering the engine and I was told they need number off the engine that's why it wasn't shipped yet.

Give them the number and they say ok it's in stock ready to be shipped. A few more days nothing. Call again oh we need a part to finish the engine it will ship tomorrow. Tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow is all I kept hearing every time I called. Called around and found an engine close in price that I originally quoted my customer and ordered it. Called accurate for refund (which had been offered every time I called).

Ok I'll have accounting call you. Sure enough no call back. Call them later and I was told a check will be mailed tomorrow. A check!?!?! Refund my card! Oh we can't. So I guess now I'll have to call everyday to make sure he check is actually mailed back and now I'm out $2300 and have a very very pissed off customer. After being told for 3 days the check will mail out tomorrow I had to open a dispute with my credit card company to get the money back.

I received a quote of 10-20 days to do an R&R on an engine and transmission for a 2004 Sprinter, for a very reasonable price. Fast forward three months and I am now being forced to transport the van along with the disassembled engine and transmission to another shop to finish the job. The engine repair took a few weeks, with minor and expected delays. However, the real delays came when they tried to re-manufacture the original transmission.

I was given at least 5 different excuses why they couldn't repair the transmission. The contract states, "4 day delivery after order." I finally found them a transmission. They will not budge on the bill. I asked them to cover the cost of the transmission installation, which amounted to 3% of the bill, and they would not budge. This company is entirely unprofessional in their communication. Hopefully this review finds you in time!

My husband took an engine here to be rebuilt. It was done in a day. He got the engine put back in his vehicle and it immediately started leaking oil. Either a seal was forgotten or it was defective. Either way, it was Accurate Engines fault and responsibility to make it right. My husband called to get the vehicle back in to be fixed and the woman on the phone was rude and not at all helpful.

She said that he could bring the engine back in, but he would have to pay for it to be fixed. Really? We have to pay for their mistake? I think not. We are placing a call to the "BBB" for this BAD place of business. I definitely recommend looking elsewhere for your engine needs! There people are NOT the place to go.

To anyone considering doing business with Accurate Engines. BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a Chrysler 300 engine block from Accurate in late November 2013. The transaction went pretty smooth but later discovered an overcharge on my credit card. Billing errors happen, and no big problem, but it was very irritating having to repeatedly ask Accurate correct their billing mistake.

The company eventually credited back funds after several emails a month later. Besides the initial invoice issues, I was overall pretty satisfied with Accurate. The replacement engine was installed early 2014 after replacing most engine components for new factory parts. It was a perfect opportunity to do so with the block removed. The engine worked perfectly right up until the engine blew (without warning) on a hot August day.

No way! Less than eight months engine life out of a $3100.00 rebuilt Accurate Engine, and not including a hefty bill from my local mechanic's labor. What a major inconvenience. I was furious but later calmed after hearing my mechanic determined the engine blew as a result of internal piston issues. Great! All vehicle maintenance intervals were met, mechanics found no issues with engine components on regularly scheduled maintenance inspections or at the time of failure, it would obviously appear as simply a bad motor covered under Accurate's engine warranty policy for sales under a year.right? WRONG!

After notifying Accurate and returning the motor, the warranty department quickly pointed out warranty exclusions to any heat damage to their engines. I explained the mechanic shop had found no evidence of cooling system malfunctions or failures related to primary engine failure itself. The mechanic who initially installed the engine, along with shop owner, both specifically stated, "engine failure had resulted from an internal piston malfunction causing catastrophic damage under normal operating conditions and no warning indicators had registered on the vehicle computer log prior to engine failure." Accurate acknowledged the circumstances of failure and would advise to full extent of cause after gathering more info during tear down.

I waited weeks for Accurate to inspect the motor and provide ANY status to my claim. After sending more emails, pleading for some kind of status update, I was finally told an update would be made available the following day.the day, nothing. Another week passes with no communication whatsoever. At this point I had enough! Accurate failed in providing any clarification as to the status of the warranty or show any good faith business intent.

I made several attempts to respectfully request any form of information. I finally lost patience and emailed Accurate advising them if I didn't hear from someone by close of business I would pursue the matter legally. Accurate responds with: "OK, looks with everything that needs to be replaced the cost for correction will be 800+300 (shipping) = 1100.00. Do you want them to proceed to correct? UNBELIEVABLE! It will be interesting to see how this is resolved in a court of law.

I went through 2 engines in less than a year. I spent 6000.00 between shipping 2x and installations. Larry Hassel will not return or answer calls. I told him I needed a good engine and they guaranteed they had no problems and redesigned the 4.7 dodge engine. I also yold him I had limited funds and PLEASE I need something dependable. The first engine went in 7 months. Sent back and when able to install the second (due to money) it lasted 7 weeks.

I am a lung cancer patient with oxygen and broke down in extreme heat without my oxygen unit as I was going on a short run. I have been sick ever since as stress is not something good for me. I told Accurate my condition when I purchased the first engine. These people are crooks! they do not return calls and I advise everyone to steer clear. Go the extra mile and get Jasper.

I spent more with accurate than Jaspers engine would have cost. Stay away, call the Attorney General of Grand Rapids. I have heard nothing but horror stories on this company, God Bless & good luck. I am NOT done with them! If I could give 0 stars or -0 i would!

I called Accurate Engine's and spoke to Allan. I asked some engine building specific info and it sounded like they knew their specs well. So I purchased an engine and not even 2000 miles later, the engine developed a misfire and yielded poor mileage. I had multiple ASE certified techs run diagnostic testing and the engine was showing low compression on multiple cylinders.

This points to a "remanufacturing" process issue. Long story short, they want you to foot the bill to pull the engine, send it to them for an internal diagnostic so they can formulate a plan on declining coverage. I was on the phone attempting to file a warranty claim and they were already talking about it possibly overheating! Wow! I am a Mechanical Engineer and I watched the ASE tech install this engine using brand new MOPAR parts. (ie: water pump, radiator, etc) the job was done right.

Once Accurate has your money and something happens, all of a sudden it gets very difficult to get ahold of them and the downtime on the daily driver drags on. This is a senior citizen's only mode of transportation! So now they want me to spend another $500 to have it pulled and ship it back? I don't think this is reasonable. They should accept the report of 3 ASE techs and prorate the purchase price against the repair bill.

According to them, "many people may have chosen" this business, but you have to ask yourself, how many of those customers got burned by them? Take your hard-earned money and stay away from this business! People will catch on!
