Purchased a Hyundai Genesis coupe 3.8L motor that was listed at 39k miles from these guys. Replaced the oil pump and water pump as recommended on their website as well. The motor only lasted me 2 months before it started knocking!

Called twice to pick up an engine today, they said it was there and would be ready. Drove an hour and half to pick it up. Then get told " oh you have to pay for it and wait 15-20 days " Well why didn't you tell us that on the phone? We told you we were coming to pick up the engine today. What a waste of space for a place.

This establishment is the absolute worst recycling center for engines I have ever had the displeasure of conducting business with. I write a lot of reviews and rarely write anything negative about a business. I enjoy giving positive feedback when it's due. Their website states "It's all about Quality, Convenience and Service". I have not experienced quality.

I have not experienced convenience. I have not experienced service. My husband's truck engine went bad January 27th. Today is April 12th. His truck is still not fixed. This is due to no fault of the mechanic shop where the truck is being repaired. The simple fact is this company A & A Auto has sent our mechanic not one but two bad engines. Once our mechanic determined the first engine was bad, it took A & A Auto over a month to simply exchange the engine for a good one.

We have just found out that this replacement engine is also bad! My husband is a self employed carpenter who relies solely on his truck for work and needs it to tow his trailer. He has been unable to keep his busy client schedule due to a lack of transportation caused by A & A Auto's negligence in providing a working engine not just once but twice. I do not recommend this business. My recommendation is the opposite.

I bought a motor from here almost a year ago. The motor was sold as a mustang engine, and appeared to be one at first glance. I took the oil pan off of it today and noticed there was no windage tray, when there should have been. I did some googling of part numbers, and this motor came out of a truck. I paid a premium for the higher horsepower motor, and I believe I was purposely mislead.

The intake had been changed to the grey mustang manifold, which is the only indication when just looking at a coyote. I should have done my due diligence when the engine arrived, and I'm sure I don't have any recourse after all this time. Beware of these guys

Got a engine that was not the one advertised on display picture and later told the picture that was displayed was stock image. The engine we received looked like it was wrecked or nose dived dropped. Had so many problems when check by our certified mechanic and told we paid too much for a severely damaged engine. Spoke with Alex at Auto and Truck and sent pictures he said the engine looked fine to him. Spoke to him a couple more times with rude comments and hung up on multiple times. Had to file a charge back and it turned into a big mess fighting with Visa because Alex lied to them on how he handled the situation. Visa will only hear the merchants side and he knew exactly what to say to them.

Also lied to us on what our mechanic had discussed with him over the phone to us. Scam artist at its best and the we value our customers is a joke along with the warranty. stay away from ebay listing from Alex. Beware of what this company did to us and how they treated us. If you need advice ask me on FB I have emails and text messages from Alex. This was all the problems so far from our mechanic The engine fan is broken and water pump arm is bent and is now leaking fluids, oil pan bent, gaskets were no good, important parts of the engine were masked by spray paint. who knows what else would had been wrong if installed completely. UPDATE FROM WHOEVER RESPONDED PROBABLY ALEX.

The below statements are all lies to cover and everything that is stated we did is even more of a bigger lie. This is absolute ridiculous to even read a made up story as the one from the poor response lies from Auto and Truck. Stooping to the lowest just shows how far a narcissistic person will go.

I'm have an issue giving them a 1 star rating! They should never get rid of Hector, he was the only person I spoke with that has ANY professionalism. I called and ordered a GM 5.3 motor, put a required $50 deposit and waited 2 weeks for the call to tell me to come and pick up the motor. The call never came and as I am an hour and a half away I called them at about 3 pm.

With this day being the ONLY day I could go and pick the motor up, I was pretty upset when they told me it wouldn't be ready till the next day maybe as they were 7 motors behind. You figured I might get a call to tell me they were not going to be able to honor the deadline THEY gave me. NOPE! The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional, said if I didn't like it, too bad and that they would refund my deposit. DO NOT BUY OR DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE! I will be making sure this review stays up and no one else gets the rude and unprofessional service that I received.

Sold us a faulty engine through ebay. Engine failed after less than two months of driving/less than 2000 miles. Ordered a jeep wrangler engine which is a 3.8 inline. Opened up the failed engine and found out they sold us a town and country/caravan transverse engine which they poorly modified and butchered for it to fit the wrangler. The oil pump pickup tube was from the town and country setup which cannot be used with the wrangler oil pan because it is shorter and causes oil starvation.

They deceived us by telling us the engine had 77000 miles, spray painted it and charged us $2000 for the engine. In short we asked for a partial refund but they (Alex) refused, got very ignorant and threatened to write us a bad review. Attached are the photos of the engine failure and poor workmanship. The engine also came with numerous screws missing from the oil pan, the oil pump pickup tube was loose and the wrangler mount bolt holes filled with rust (never came out of a wrangler like they kept insisting).

THIS GUY IS A NUT LOOK NOW WHAT HE SENDS ME! BRING IT ON! I saw your false claims on Google and Yelp. Get ready to lawyer up. I paid my lawyer the deposit to start a lawsuit. You want to make false claims on the internet, make sure we don't have your name and address. Be prepared to back up your claims with 100% proof because that is what the law requires.

Stay away from this company. Scam artists. Extremely unprofessional and false advertising products from eBay and their website and every where in between. I can supply photos and messages of their petty, unprofessional behavior and falsely advertised items. Below you will see a screenshot of the final message from "Alex" on EBay after I asked questions about an engine they had listed.

The library has FREE dictionaries, Alex. Edit* I'll be uploading my 5 Star A+ ranking as a buyer! I'll also be uploading my ENTIRE CONVERSATION from EBay. I reported this seller and the item in question and they have chosen a pattern of behavior. Please look below at what PROOF and illiteracy look like.

I purchased and engine from these guys from ebay, this engine was having problems from the get go, tried to get a hold of them and nothing. do not be fooled by these guys, look at the reviews they sell junk engines to everyone. hey a and a just heads up i am filling a claim with the bbb, it seems to me like this is the thing you guys do, scam people with junk engines.

I have paper trail stating the engine had issues prior the three months was up. I figured I would try to fix it and not bother you people but now obviously I should of made a bigger issue then.

I purchased an engine from this company off of Ebay based on their ratings. DON'T BE FOOLED! The 1st engine they sent out was defective, and so they sent a replacement, which also was defective. After contacting them to send the 2nd engine back for a refund, they refused to pay for return shipping or assist in any way. I'm out $250.00 to get the engine back to them so I can get a refund. Alex then tried to blame my mechanic's shop saying they lied to me about the engines being defective so they could sell me a marked up engine of their own, which was entirely not true. I've since purchased an engine from a reputable seller and the car is on the road a running fine. STAY AWAY! I'd give this company a "no star" rating had one been available.

I just ordered an engine and I am waiting for delivery. I chose this place over others because selection and I liked that they said they inspect engines and compression test as well. I bought through ebay motors and it comes with a warranty. I will update this review once my mechanic receives the engine too see the condition as well as how it runs. Hopefully this when I update this review it will be five stars! I should have the vehicle completed by next week.

Run Run Run! I found a low mileage 6.0 diesel engine from them on Ebay. BAD OIL COOLER - Blew a Head gasket! Alex - assured me they go through the engine as they value their rating. Orings - gaskets - New Oil Cooler, etc. I even trusted him enough to bullet proof it. Upon receipt the engine looked pretty but had multiple issues that my mechanic had to fix.

Now the engine is coding a bad oil cooler which doesnt make sense since Alex claims to have put a new one in. Also, the truck just spit all the coolant out - likely from a blown head gasket - how is that possible if they bullet proofed the engine. He wants me to return the engine - no problem - I will have to eat 4k in labor - guy is a rip off artist

A & A Auto and Trucks LCC - autopartsorlando.com AKA A & A, Sells Blown Engines from Orlando Florida A & A of Orlando Florida sold me a blown engine that costed about $3,400 out the door with shipping and handling. My mechanic installed the engine exactly as the company said to. The engine locked up on the freeway after about a thousand miles. I then had it inspected by a dealer who said it was a blown engine.

A & A used the excuse that the motor only had a ninety day warranty and that I was passed that. However, this was not a daily driver and barely had a thousand miles on it. "Alex" repeated the 90 day warranty excuse, but could explain how the engine blew in a thousand miles. They refused to refund any of the money and would not replace the engine. I wouldn't advise anybody to buy an engine from somebody who sells blown ones. There was also a complication with the shipping of the engine and I had to pay an extra hundred dollars for that as well. autopartsorlando.com

My husband ordered an engine from them, and twice he was told that it had some 44K miles on it. It arrived and 1) when we took the intake off, there were LEAVES IN THE INTAKE PORTS, 2) the timing cassettes were worn through and in pieces, 3) there was so much carbon deposits and sludge all throughout the engine that it obviously had 150k PLUS miles on it (which is also why the timing cassettes would be that worn), 4) the oil rails to the overhead cams were bent and impacting the cams, 5) we bent them back into alignment, cleaned the sludge out of them, spent the $300 on timing cassettes and another $200+ in even more misc parts, and 6) when we installed the engine and tried to start it up, it ran horribly and cylinder number 4 was "Banging" badly. we took the engine out and apart and found the piston rod was bent.

Thank you for taking his $1583 for a horrible engine! He may be too nice, but I am not! And I will be sure to spread this message. To the owner or manager: I have many many friends and we roll as a pack. Make this right by him in some way, or this review, and many others to follow, will stay this way, to warn everyone and spare them grief and the same financial loss we have endured. I'm putting this on Google, Yelp, YPcom (Yellowpages) and anywhere else I can make the truth of this terrible loss public.

Alex and crew are top notch, best customer service in the auto parts business! I'm not sure of why they get negative reviews, my guess is that some people don't accept responsibility for their own mistakes in ordering or they didn't read what's covered by the warranty beforehand. I bought an engine from them and after having it installed, we found that there was an unknown issue.

Their tech team worked with my mechanic and when it was determined that the engine was faulty, they picked up the engine, received and inspected it in a timely manner and gave me a FULL REFUND. They even extended the warranty period an extra week to allow me time to have it properly secured for shipping. They honor their warranty EXACTLY as stated. I highly recommend A&A!

Stay away! I got an engine from these guys that they claimed had 47K. We installed the engine which ran but threw check engine codes almost immediately. I had my mechanic check the compression which we was way way under spec. Cylnders had between 40-5o- lbs of compression. Not even close to spec. The engine needed a full valve job and head gasket replacement.

They told me I had overheatred the engine and they would not warrantee the engine but would consider sending me the parts requried to repair it. I explained I had not overheated the engine at all and had barely drvien it. They had me send coutless pictures of the heat tabs on the engine that signify an overheat condtion. They were all intact and not discolored at all indication NO overheat had ocurred.

They acted as if they were doing me a favor by considering sendng me parts to repair the engine. In the end, they never sent me anything and I ending up just getting rid of the car. It wasn't worth the long distance hassle and they made it very clear they had no intention of stanidng behind their product. Poor business people for sure. I myself am a business owner and can not understand why in this day of so much accesablitly to information/reviews why a business would not look to make customers happy.

We often extend ourselves to keep good relations with our clients and customers beyond the so called "warranntee period" let alone when it is clear the customer has not gotten what they paid for in the first place. Don't buy from them. You'll be sorry. I promise

Buyer beware! When our engine failed this summer, our mechanic found a replacement engine from this company. We agreed to buy it based on our mechanic's recommendation. It turns out the engine they sent had a cracked head and when our mechanic put the engine in our car it smoked and blew antifreeze through our exhaust system. We then had to contact A & A Auto for a replacement engine under their warranty.

They did replace the failed engine and eventually a working engine arrived at our mechanic's shop. Unfortunately, because they sent us an engine with a cracked head that blew antifreeze through our exhaust system, our catalytic converter was ruined (an independent second mechanic confirmed that the catalytic converter was ruined by the engine with the cracked head).

When I talked to Alex at A & A Auto, he refused to take any responsibility for the failed catalytic converter claiming that it probably just went bad on its own (coincidentally at the exact same time that the failed engine was put into our car). This in spite of the fact that two mechanics confirmed that the failure was caused by the cracked engine head.

All in all, the $1100 engine that we bought from A & A cost us an extra $1000 in labor for our mechanic to put in and remove the bad engine. And it cost us an extra $500 to get our catalytic converter replaced. Alex claimed that this "almost never happens" but if that were true, you would think his company would do the right thing and take responsibility for some portion of these extra costs (perhaps the catalytic converter replacement at least). Beware of buying a salvaged motor from this company.

Though they claim to test and inspect their engines, if they send you a damaged engine, they will take NO responsibility whatsoever for any problems incurred and you will likely be out a lot of extra money, as we were. I would definitely not do business with this company again. Their customer service was terrible.

This place is terrible. We found them under car-part.com when we were looking for an exact engine 2.3l mazda3 engine we took there engine to Mazda/ford dealership. The dealership said that this isn't the correct engine they would issue nor a JDM version the dealership said it looked like a focus engine not a Mazda. The worst part about them isn't that they have me the wrong engine but when I told them I didn't want their engine and said I wanted to return it the manager told me I was f$&king stupid.

The told me I was wasting his time and he is going to charge me. 20% restocking fee. Really if the dealership says its not the right engine, then its not the right engine. Also no business should ever let their manager to cuss you out I promise you if you go there you will get burned. Do not buy from them!
