I brought my VW in for diagnostics/repair after doing some research on shops around town. They are definitely busy, so if it's an emergency I'd recommend calling them directly! It took about a week and a half for them to diagnose and fix the car, but Mark was very communicative and I honestly couldn't be happier! My Eos is back to running like a champ, and while it wasn't cheap (but when you have a German car, you know repairs are never cheap) the labor was very reasonable. I've found my go to guys to help keep my car in the best shape! Thanks!

Edit: Owner called to give me refund for service. Wow! That never happens. When he found out the repairs were potentially under warranty, he called to remedy the stiuation. I was shocked! Like I said, stuff like this doesn't usually happen. : Here is the original review: I went to this place because I needed my check engine light cleared in order to pass my emissions test and the dealership had a 2-week wait for appointments.

This place had a lot of good reviews, so I thought it would be a good place to take the car in. I was quoted $420 to replace the cooling fan in the Jetta. When I showed up to pay, I was charged $600 because he forgot to quote me additional $120 to clear the check engine diagnostics. However, he didn't even clear the lights because he said it was something to do with warranties.

I still had to make the 2-week appointment with the dealer to get the check engine light cleared! When I finally had the appointment with the dealer, they said the fan could have still been under warranty because it was part of the cooling system. The whole reason I went to this guy was to save time, so I could pass my emissions test. Not only did he not save me anytime, he also cost me $600.

I felt like this guy was somewhat dishonest from the beginning and did not give me all the details up front. It seems like my case is rare though, as he has a lot of good reviews. I just did not have a good experience here.

I brought my 2003 BMW here after a bad experience with a different shop. Not only did A&B find the REAL problems with the vehicle, but Mark was also very transparent and honest about the work that needed to be done. They've definitely earned two happy and recurring customers, and I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a good, trustworthy mechanic.

I am not from the Fort Collins area so when I was looking for a local shop to do a pre purchase inspection a vehicle I was looking at, this place came highly recommended. it did NOT disappoint. Mark was understanding of my time restrictions and was as honest as can be when it came to the details of the report on the car. He saved me from purchasing what seemed like a "lemon" of a vehicle and I cannot thank them enough. Overall, very professional, accommodating, kind, and timely service.

Tl;dr A&B is now my local mechanic Landed here on a referral. New to the area and finding a mechanic is stressful. Spoke to Mark on the phone (several times, admittedly) before bringing my vehicle in. I'm picky as my brother owns a repair shop, too. Tip: Schedule appointment a few days in advance because they're busy. Mark was very transparent on the phone about pricing and the potential repair(s), which put me at ease. Felt the same as my brother's shop telling me what to expect.

I had a check engine light that popped on after starting the engine on a cold morning. A&B had the car for about 3/4 of a day when they called to let me know what the issue was. Mark gave me the total repair cost over the phone, and again, transparent about the pricing. When I picked up my car, I received a checklist of an inspection with notes. I appreciate this because it tells me they're making sure the rest of my car is fit to drive, too; I'm less likely to be unpleasantly surprised by whatever needs fixing next.

The inspection looked thorough and gave me some guidance on what I'll need to address soon as far as the next maintenance. Anyway, I'll be making A&B the go-to for my mechanic.

I recently purchased my sons first car and was looking for a mechanic I could establish a working relationship with. The qualities I most look for are honesty, knowledge and professionalism. After meeting Mark, the owner, I felt I had made the correct choice in going to A and B. I definitely got the feeling I had meet the mechanic I could do business with for a long time. One morning my car battery died, and I was in a pinch. I looked up some auto shops in the area and started to call around. The first place I called (another top rated shop on here) was unimpressive. The guy who answered the phone couldn't care less about my problem and was not helpful at all. So I called A & B, and spoke with Mark who was very professional and helpful.

After I jumped my car, I took it to A & B where my battery was replaced and I was literally in and out in about 45 minutes. I felt like my concerns were addressed and my time was respected. I will be returning to A & B for all my car maintenance needs in the future, and I suggest you do too!

I was referred to A & B Import by a co-worker and am so glad I went here! The gentlemen were very helpful, informative and explained things in a way that made sense to me. They did an excellent job communicating with me and making sure I knew all options before doing any work on my vehicle. They also provided me with a free loaner car for the week.

They even took my vehicle back for a follow up emissions test and saved me that hassle. If you are looking genuine, honest and professional service on your car, A & B is the place to go!

Mark and his team are rockstars. I brought my mk4 r32 in to get working again after Ed Carroll botched the repair. Side note: don't bring your car to Ed Carroll, terrible service department. Mark and his team was fantastic, providing clear and concise feedback on the progress of my repair. They let me drive a loaner car for as long as I needed and after a short time, they diagnosed the problem and sent me on my way.

I will be recommending A&B Import Auto to all my friends and family due to their fair pricing, top notch customer service, and a commitment to getting the job done correctly. I suggest you bring your car to Mark. You will not be disappointed

If you need repairs done on your older year model import car for a reasonable rate, you better check out A & B Import Auto! Mark, the owner, is a great guy, willing to listen to what the customer has to say and then gives solid, well informed advice accordingly. Thumbs up, if I ever need repairs on my '99 Passat again, I will not hesitate to go back here. Then again, they did such a good job last time, it might be a while until my next visit! I highly recommend this shop.

I have had two cars serviced over the years here, a 07 Dodge Caliber and a 07 Kia Sorento. I must say the guys here are really professionals. The quality of work is always great and and the pricing is always fair. I think it's great that they have loaner cars as well, they've really helped me out anyway! Thanks again guys.

This is my second review on this auto shop. If there were 10 stars available I would give them 10! They are amazing and honest. When my daughter was in college and we used A&B when she was driving our Civic. Now she's graduated and purchased a CRV. Someone noticed that her car was leaking oil so I told her to take it over to A&B to have it checked.

They checked it for her and found a loose oil drain plug. They tighten the plug and toped off her fluids - no charge. A&B has a customer for life! If you don't have a mechanic that you are comfortable with go to A&B you won't be disappointed.

I have a 2000 VW Jetta with 240k miles. Mark and the team at A&B always treat me fairly, understand that affordable repairs on my older car are important and always offer more affordable options. They typically have loaners to borrow while your vehicle is being repaired. Overall, these guys are top notch for any European car repairs, you won't find better people or more affordable and reliable repairs!

Mark and his team have been taking care of my Audi A3 for 5 years. They have done an excellent job, both with the routine maintenance and the occasional repairs. The service is quick and the prices are reasonable. I am not a "car guy" so I appreciate the fact that they take the time to explain what they are doing to my car and to discuss service/repair options with me. I definitely recommend them for any Audi servicing in Fort Collins!

My car had broken down (alternator failed) and they were able to fit me in and get my car fixed the same day which I was greatly appreciative of so I didn't need to go rent a car for work. They also provided a shuttle for car pick up which made things easier. I'd recommend this place for fast service, reliability and good prices.

I live in Colorado Springs but my son lives in Greeley. He is trying to buy his first car and we are looking at inexpensive, reliable models. We thought we found a "too good to be true" deal in Fort Collins so I drove up to see the car. Everything looked great to us and we were sold but my son thought having a mechanic look it over was wise thing to do.

We called A & B Imports and they told us to bring the car in. They took their time going over every aspect of the car, inside and out. The mechanic was explaining all of the problems with the car and the seller interupted him to explain an issue and he politely informed her that we were paying him for an honest evaluation of the car and that is what he was going to give us.

We ultimately decided against the car because it appeared that it had been in a pretty bad accident that the seller was trying to cover up. At any rate, I appreciate the professionalism, the complete check and the time he took to explain everything on the list. Not many places like this these days!

I was the passenger in my vehicle which was wrecked and impounded by police even though it shouldn't have been because I had insurance and no crime, no DUI, nothing. So it was against my will that my precious car was even at this place. They charged me an arm and a leg to get it out of impound. They told me that if I had THEM repair it they would dissolve of those costs and use it towards the repair of the car and they also told me that if I was just willing to make payments they would work with me for as long as it takes to get it repaired (because they quoted me over 16k for repairs and that would take TIME). However, when I gave them the go ahead and offered over 4k of a down payment, they told me that they never said that and they would NOT take payments that I needed to pay over half of the estimate now and the other half soon when I came to get my car.

So that was a scam as was the credit towards the impound fees they charged me while I was sick in the hospital and had no idea where my car was. I got my car early in the AM but they still charged me for that whole day at unreasonable rates. I finally just came and GOT my wrecked car and took it elsewhere and found out everything they quoted that was broken was in fact, NOT BROKEN.

They quoted 16k+ to repair they said they stopped after they got to a certain number but that it would cost far more than what they quoted. I got it into somewhere I TRUST that I've known my whole life and they said the max it would cost is 5k and all of the parts they said were broken were in fact not. Additionally, the quotes they gave me on the parts and the labor were SERIOUS rip offs, overpriced and overquoted by over 3x the actual cost at a reputable place.

Mark was excellent in his thorough inspection of my 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider. He hit on every system and part and really knew his stuff. Thank you!

Mark and his team of mechanics are nothing but helpful, honest, and knowledgeable. It seems Mark will go out of his way to help just about anyone, which, in his industry can be a rare trait. I've never had to worry about getting taken advantage of and his teams never relies on quick temporary fixes. I rely on A and B to keep my VW running. They have never let me down. Mark and his team have done transmission flushes, brakes, heater core, and many other repairs on my Passat. I took my Saab to another shop in town and have been feeling like I spent a lot of money for work that wasn't done. NOT the case here. Mark and everyone at A &B have been nothing but helpful! My Saab overheated last week, turned out my water pump had been damaged and a lot of things went wrong all at once. Not only did Mark stay and wait for me to get a tow truck until 6:30 on a Friday night, but they gave me a loaner car for the week (no additional charge), completed a full inspection of the vehicle, replaced little odds and ends (like windshield wipers!) without charging me, and most of all: kept in contact before any work was done.

As a girl far away from home and a Dad who can help with car decisions I feel like these guys are completely trustworthy. Quality work, reasonable prices, and they do everything they can to make sure you are taken care of. Phenomenal customer service!

I took my Porsche Boxster here to have an issue with ignition noise investigated. The team here did an outstanding job of diagnosing the issue (on very limited information) and then fixing quickly and at a fair price. These guys are friendly, trustworthy and have great customer service. I highly recommend them.
